Lovely Little Gem if you don’t mind a walk”
Uncles house was a beautiful hostel, lovely sitting area, very kind and helpful staff who spoke good English! The rooms had a fan above each bed to ward off the heat and a good pillow provided. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were fine if you’re not massively picky and showers are a tad cold but frankly given the heat and humidity it was a blessed relief each morning! Uncles house also serve beer and water at standard prices for the area as well as food at a cheap price, perfect for just a bite if you’re hungry. The only real downside is the location which is about a 20 min walk from Pub Street (the main action area). However, there are plenty of bars/small shops/restaurants and even a market in between you and Pub street so you’re not in the middle of nowhere! Would highly recommend

There is a vegetable market at the entrance, cheap accommodation, cleanliness is no problem, but the air in the room is not very good, there are factors that affect the quality of sleep, this is the most important, everything else is no problem, very cheap, the outdoor environment is good

Overall my stay was good, was close to the markets but a little out of the main town/ pub street. Staff are very friendly and the food is good. The price for the stay maybe low however you have to pay $1 for toilet roll, a towl and bed sheets, which I thought should be free as that's what you pay for when you book a place stay. Also, the aircon was advertise and I asked for the aircon remote to turn it on and I was told I didn't need aircon then shortly after received an email from them saying $4 per night if I was to turn the aircon on. Not sure why I wasn't just told then and I think the aircon should be free as the room was very hot and hard to sleep. Other than the aircon and having to paying for the other bits I would l recommend this place.

Simple, with good Wi-Fi and place to store a bicycle. Shops, facilities and local market nearby. Little far to the city, but you can rent bicycle for free for 2 hours or for 2$ a day. Quite dirty though

We found Uncle House exactly as expected. It is a welcoming guesthouse with simple accommodations at a very good price. We enjoyed a delicious lunch then borrowed some bicycles to explore. The location is a reasonable walk from the city center, or a short bike trip. The route is through an area that is more local and less touristy than most lodging in this town. That was a plus for me. The triple room was stuffy without AC, and we didn't want to leave the door open for fear of bugs so that was a but if a negative.

The first that you mention is the cheap price for dorms and rooms the hostel has amazing and helpful staff. rooms are clean and you can order food as well with cheap prices the hostel a bit far from town they offer free bikes for you and tuk tuk with 2$

Nice hostel for budget traveller”
I stayed at a mixed dorm room, I had not problem at all. It was not really clean, but very enough for me and worth the price. The staffs were really polite and friendly, and did have not any problem with me checking in 8AM. The location is not really in the city centre, but only 5-10 mins tuk-tuk trip or just walking by 15-20 minutes.

Quiet places,far from noisy of motorcycle or car. Having great welcoming from the host and family. Just need to relocate their location but you still found it. I got free bikes, extra privilege services from the host as I'm their first guest from Agoda.com and I'm so love to stay here. For me, I'm not really travel to meet another traveller ,I'm travel to meet local people and understand their cultural and seeing something different than what I should/shouldn't see. I don't mind to mixing with traveller but if I'm keep staying more with traveller than I just go there,to sharing my experience than back to my country and keep saying irrelevant statement but if I'm mixing with locals..If learnt more things,that books never told me and I'm had much better experience and being awesome explorer's. That's is from me. I'm love to credit my appreciation towards Sovann and family for being so nice to me and hope to see you soon

It’s cheap because it’s far and hard to find. The value comes once you found it. Reception is good and everyone’s nice. You can hire a tuktuk to get into this place but prepare to get ripped off by local drivers. Tuktuk from the city to the hostel is just 1 usd. That’s the real price. More than that, good.

Nice place to crash for a day or 2”
The place can be a little hard to find, but there are hand-written signs you can look out for. I got a smaller room than I had booked (5 beds instead of 10), and the bed was comfortable. The room was cool enough during night, so I didn't need to use the fan much. I would stay here again.

Awesome hostel”
Staff was very helpful and kind, they’re not fussy about the time you check in or out and are happy to help with anything. It’s located a bit away from the town, 5mn with bike (they offer free bikes for 2h, or 2usd for a whole day). They make good food, the beds are big and comfy... no really super awesome stay over there and I would definitely come back.

A bit far off”
The hostel is set in peaceful environments south of the city center. It is quite far to get there, so that can be annoying at times. A bike might be necessary. That being said, the location is beautiful and you can enjoy many late nights with fellow backpackers. The staff is not always helpful. I ordered food on several occasions, and they either forgot or spent too much time making it. And at other times, they did not want to help me with simple matters, such as renting an e-bike. I also noticed this for other guests. The dormitory room is okay, with a single fan per bed that doesnt make too much noise. Improve the staff, and this might be an even better hostel.

Small place but really chill. We stayed 4 days and did what we wanted, the staff is super helpful and chill with what you do. Really feels like home. All food 2$, no refill water, nice bunk beds and hot shower. Would repeat!!!
