"If you are staying at Tulamben Beach this is the best option that we saw by far. Friendly and helpful staff, very nice landscaping and buildings make the hotel a very lovely place to stay. The room is comfortable and can accommodate a child in the upper sleeping area. The food is not the best but it is okay. Snorkling and diving right off the beach is amazing. "

"We normally hesitate to book a place without reviews but all conditions such as rate, room state and pool appeared too good to be true for the rate at Tulamben. So it was my best choice to stay there. Excluding all other you have at the hotel, walk through little hills to the beach in front of the hotel and you can get nice snorkeling point with sporadic meeting of humphead parrotfish! "

"I booked three nights and at check in my credit card had not let the transaction thru due to a security flag..... The young lady at reception with so patient and understanding, she drove me to the nearest ATM where it took another one hour for me to resolve the issue.... And all this time with a smile!!! I originally booked for three nights and ended up staying another six nights. The hotel is really comfortable and spacious, I really enjoyed the terrace over looking the ocean where they have a queen size bed, and in the evenings I would lay there with the satellite TV on. I also want to mention the amazing open stone hallways overlooking the pool with all the plant life surrounding it... just beautiful and super comfortable..... This hotel also has amazing three bedroom suits........ And there breakfast is super plentiful and delicious. Only down side is that it's just a little to far for me to walk to town when I wanted to so you would definitely need to rent a scooter which they got for me for 55k a day, which I used to commute to Tulamben and Amed for my daily diving 👍❤️👍"

"I have stayed in many other hotels in Tulamben, so far this is the best. Located perfectly by the rocky beach. Beautiful garden to running around if you bring young kids. The rooms were huge and spotlessly clean, with big bathroom. The foods were excellent. Only one small minus, they didn't provide tea/coffee making facility in the room"

"The hôtel is really nice, it is from far the best place we had in 2 weeks at Bali. The hotel is located not fa from the beach 5min walk, it is calm we didn't hear the main road. Breakfast is good with good coffee and rooms are big with a nice balcony. It is all clean. Enjoy your stay. "

"I had and excellent stay and the diving was outstanding - Thanks a lot to Tama a young guide who showed me everything I wanted to see (+++++), apart from the bumble bee shrimp which he found but lost again. He was courteous, helpful (thanks for the 'lady-boy' entry and exits!) and was very knowledgeable for a young dive guide. The staff of the hotel were excellent and good fun thanks to #2, #3, and 'crazy girl'. The food was as good as you can buy in any restaurant in Tulamben and the table service was quick and efficient. I was not so impressed with breakfast as I don't like eggs most days and would have preferred some cereals, however the fruit juices and all the rest of breakfast was fine. The room #1 (my name for the trip) was large well air conditioned and clean. I would have preferred the table to have been able to get my legs under for setting up U/W camera and working on laptop. The wi-fi was fast for Bali and was reliable. All in all due to the weather, Tama the dive guide, staff and room this was the best land based dive holiday I have ever had in over 30 years. Not many English speakers there at this time but there wasn't many in Tulamben. Note: I am 68 and struggle to get in and out of the water over the large pebbles. Tama and I linked arms and he saved me from falling over on several occasions THUS 'lady-boy' entry and exits. "

"ppbb been around for a while i think so it isn't new facilities, but it's all you need if you are there to dive the wreck/snorkel, or just chill for a couple days. very basic rooms - just a bed and bathroom basically. they give you the key and leave you alone for your stay (ie. no room service). sheets a bit shabby. but it's cheap, so value for money is fine. nice beachside restaurant with pretty good food actually. a couple of bali based dive outfits drive up and use the hotel and restaurant facilities as a day base for diving off the beach, so be aware that the shorefront area where restaurant is can be busy during day with out of town divers. we chose not to dive with the small dive centre associated with the hotel (located beachside adjacent to the restaurant, and run by locals) - basically just due to gut feel and they had old equipment, but dove with dive concepts instead (diagonally over the road from ppbb), which had mostly new equipment, managed by europeans, and also slightly cheaper. also be aware that tulamben beach is a rocky beach. the only place you can sunbathe is on one of the 3 crappy recliners on the concrete beachfront of the hotel.
