Great property, great staff and excellent food ”
Just book, you won't regret it. Stayed 6 nights and loved every moment. Stayed in a large suite with own plunge pool - so nice to cool off and you can order some drinks to the room so you can have your own mini pool party :) Breakfasts are a highlight and there is a great rooftop terrace that has views of the beach and an awesome spot for NYE. Staff are friendly and helpful with all requests. This hotel is partly a museum too with lots of beautiful antiques integrated into the rooms and public spaces - ask for a mini tour of the grounds and learn a little about Indo-Chinese history. Location is very good - main beach street in Canggu so you can reach lots of places by foot but hotel itself is designed so well that it is always tranquil when you step in and you feel transported away from hectic main drag. Have recommended this place to family and friends. Will be back.

Magical cultural stay in paradise ”
Magical paradise almost mystical with traditional design and beautiful Indonesian culture, art & antiques at every turn. We stayed in the hotel for 5 wonderful nights. The personnel are beautiful, helpful and always a pleasure to deal with. The hotel is super clean. The breakfast was so delicious, healthy and one of the best breakfast experiences we have had travelling around the world. Highly recommend, we can’t wait to return. Thank you Tugu ❤️❤️❤️

Charming and traditional ”
Built in the 1930's this is an elegant and traditional hotel with a lot of history. Some rooms have been modernised and have lovely private pools. We also stayed in one of the upper level rooms which I doubt has changed much over the years, quite nostalgic. The rooms and the beds are spacious and some have semi outside bathrooms. Our bath was by a fishpond with carp and gardens surrounding it, but still very private. There are various dining areas, all exquisite in decor and excellent food. Breakfast on the rooftop affords fabulous views of Canggu beach. There is only one caution, a local nightclub occasionally plays very loud music until 3 am. This is so upsetting for the hotel, who have had no support from the local authorities. It's very unfair, but thankfully only occasionally on a Friday night. Otherwise it was very tranquil, relaxing and peaceful and I highly recommend it.

Amazingly designed hotel. Paradise within paradise. ”
Tugu Bali is much more than a hotel. It's a living museum of amazingly designed premises and rooms. The staff are extremely friendly and quick to meet any needs. Indonesian food at the hotel restaurant was amazing (Didn't try the Japanese restaurant), rooms are very spacious and beautiful, pool was nice, cooking class was fun, antique shop was great. The hotel is less than 100m from the beach, with good beachside drinking and eating options. Canggu area is very nice and cozier and less crowded than Seminyak and Kuta, with many nice restaurants just a short walk from the hotel. Highly, highly recommended for a relaxing and amazing 5 star+ experience in natural Balinese and Indonesian style.

The best hotel you will ever stay at in Bali”
This hotel was just simply the best we had an awesome room very good customer service the food was delicious they gave us gifts when we left water and fruit for travel they were just so awesome did I say that they were awesome they’re awesome, they even greeted us with wine and beer whatever drinks we wanted. Every staff member wanted to make sure that they were making us happy. We stayed in seven hotels between Bali and three other islands and this hotel was the best I wanted to go back there instead of going home 😊

Authentic Balines hotel”
Amazing breakfast with ocean view. You could choose anything you like from the breakfast menu. Degari suite was truly fantastic with our own pool and the bathtub was halfway outside. The bed was big and comfy with mosquitos net around. The staff was friendly and very helpful. About 6 minutes walk there were a really nice spa called Spring. When we arrived at Denpasar the hotel arranged a pic-up that was great, he had fresh fruit, and water in the car. We can highly recommend this hotel!

Made something special even more special”
My fiance and I loved the whole experience. We typically don't splurge on hotels since we are always exploring on our trips but decided WHY NOT. It was worth every penny and would do it a million times over. The environment felt traditional to the Balinese experience, the staff was super nice, the food was exceptional, the views from the roof were outstanding, the location right next to the beach and near all the cool shops. Don't hesitate, just book here!

Amazing location, stellar staff, beautiful accommodation, loud nights”
Loved our time at Tugu. It’s dead center in Canggu, feet from the beach and the beach bars, 10 minute walk to tons of hip shops and restaurants. The villa was awesome, with a private koi pond and outdoor shower with constant incense burning. The kind of service where they clean your room each time you leave. The only flag is that due to its location it’s feet from a huge club that blares music until 1:30am. The bass can be heard through out the property. If you’re a light sleeper would make sure you can sleep with ear plugs. But this wasn’t enough to ruin our otherwise lovely experience and will highly recommend.

Amazing Hotel and Staff”
My wife and I spent 5 nights at Hotel Tugu and were blown away by how great it was, especially the staff. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel itself stands out because of the authentic artwork and overall design. The food is amazing as well - the best Nasi Goreng we had on our trip and, surprisingly, some of the best french toast we ever tried. The complimentary breakfast is plentiful and would easily be $20-$25 per person in a restaurant. The also have a rooftop restaurant with great food, drinks, and the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The hotel also has a complimentary shuttle for the local area, which is very helpful. The only complaint, which is beyond the hotel's control, is it happens to be near a nightclub and if you are a light sleeper (like me) you can hear the bass until they close at around 4am.

Tugu a journey to an ancient history”
An amazing place, like a historic museum. Just a stone throw from the pulsating life of canggu and the ocean. Sitting there, have a drink and looking the crazy surfer riding the big wave. Breakfast and food are excellent, the atmosphere relaxing. To be there is a must whenever stay in Bali.

Wonderful hotel located at a not so ideal place”
The facilities of the hotel were wonderful, and the staff were attentive and professional. The room was big, clean, and private. The only small gripe is that the location is not near much, as the stretch of beach Tugu is near is mainly for surfing and it shows in the shops near the hotel. Dining options are available nearby, but unless you're shopping for surfing gear, you'll need to travel about 1 hour out to Ubud or Seminyak for other items.

The best hotel in Caggu. The Villa with private pool was perfect. We have have a pond with fish. The bed is huge and has very nice details overall. Really recommend for couples.

Balinese Dream - History, Beach and Fun”
Tugu is a portal into the past with a modern twist. I loved the warm welcome by the Hotel Manager - Jenny who made it a point to ensure I was welcomed, settled and happy. Breakfast is a shear delight - anytime you wake up - they will serve - anywhere on the property. Wonderful start to a great day. The hotel is intimate 25 rooms, the staff are incredible and the art, antiques and history are pure bliss. The only slight draw back is that across the road there are clubs and the music pounds well into the night. I personally did not have an issue with this as I am a sleeper, however, if you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. II had a wonderful spa treatment which involved an evening therapy and a final incense blessing and cleanse - all was great but the pounding beat of the bars across the way defeated the purpose. If you can live with a bit of music - you will find this place to be a bit of traditional Balinese heaven. Enjoy.

Paradise on Earth!”
This hotel is exceptional. The staff are so professional and friendly. The food is amazing and the location is just perfect, only a few steps from the beach where we were surfing. The only facility we were not blown away by is the spa, we felt that in comparison to the rest of the hotel it was not up to standard. The masseuse also spoke very little English which made it difficult to explain our specific needs. Having said that, the massage itself was very good and our session there did not dampen our fantastic experience at this hotel.

Fantastic Hotel”
If you like antiques and rustic classy hotel. Then look no further. The location is 1 minute walk to the beach. The hotel is a great property and the service and staff are absolutely amazing. I love all Tugu properties and this is my 2nd time staying at their group if hotels….have never disappointed and totally stunning. Dont think twice to pick this hotel …it’s on a street whee there are plenty of great restaurants and spas
