Very affordable and relatively clean. The shared facilities are limited so it might be a bother during peak hours. Walls are thin and the dorm is mixed so there’s little privacy other than a curtain. Strangers might accidentally walk into your bunk because bunk assignments aren’t so straightforward. I would suggest the hotel provide disposable slippers rather than sharing reusable slippers among strangers. It’s unsanitary. Other than that, it’s a great place for solo travelers who only need a place to sleep.
First, to avoid misunderstandings, let's start with the service aspects of the review. The reception is on the third floor without an elevator. It's not suitable for people with a lot of luggage or the elderly. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. The shower room is clean. The changing area is small. There is one bucket as a place to store luggage. The facilities are unkind. There are four washbasins in the restroom. A hairdryer is available. However, there isn’t enough space to place makeup tools satisfactorily. It's good that the mirror isn't overly large, but please allow items to be placed in a spot that won't get wet. There are many toilets, so it doesn’t get crowded. There is a washing machine. You can use the washing machine if you bring detergent. There’s a shared kitchen and refrigerator. Now, a few words about the design sense. “Stay somewhere else if you don’t like it” is out of the question, so please take it seriously. First, the room labels are confusing. The actual door, which looks like a closet, should also display “Guest Room A.B.C” or “Shower Room, Powder Room” to indicate what lies beyond that door. I stayed in the upper bunk of B, but it's difficult to climb. There is a ceiling beam, so there are limits. Yet, due to an obsession with decoration, the height was lowered by about 10 centimeters, making it dangerous for those with poor motor skills. When going down, there are clothing hooks positioned such that if one loses balance even slightly, they could either poke an eye or stab into the head. I thought the round shape might be a good idea. The ladder is too close to the edge, which is frightening. As mentioned earlier, the ceiling is low, and the ladder is too far to the side, which is scary. At the very least, I would like a bit more room. (If the ceiling were higher and I could hold onto the handrail to stabilize myself higher up, it would be more acceptable.) Would it be possible to study and learn from other capsule hotels? The handrail meant for climbing the ladder is made of metal and makes a creaking noise, which is unpleasant. I feel bad going to the toilet in the middle of the night. In such a place, I wish safety and comfort were prioritized over appearance. If it were a wooden handrail, it would be secured with screws and wouldn’t make strange noises. Lastly, There was no bath towel placed on the bed I stayed in. I saw one casually draped on a hook and thought it was that, so I inadvertently used it without knowing. However, from conversations with other guests, I discovered it was folded on the bed. I was shocked that I didn’t have one. Please ensure thorough checks while working, especially since there are so few rooms. Also, since there are no lockers, I have to bring valuables into the toilet and shower room. It would be good to have a hook on the wall to hang bags. Finally… I think the decorative aspect at the entrances of each capsule in the bedroom (can I call it the molding?) can be removed. It's a hindrance on the second floor. I don’t know about A and C, but B is truly an obstacle. It’s already narrow to crawl under the beam, and what’s the point of lowering it an additional 10 centimeters! Curtains can be attached to the sides of the beam as well. The location is excellent, cleanliness is without complaint, and the price is appreciated… yet there remains an inconvenience that cannot simply be overlooked. I've stayed in older, less stylish places without any dissatisfaction. This one was a bit disappointing. I feel like the attention to detail is slightly misdirected in various aspects.
This time, I stayed at this hotel, which is quite affordable and reasonably priced compared to other hotels, because I had work around Shimokitazawa. The interior has a very modern design, the cleaning was thorough, and although it wasn't spacious, the amenities and supplies were plentiful, so I didn’t particularly have any issues. I knew it was a mixed-gender dormitory when I booked it, so I have no complaints; however, for women, if you cannot accept the possibility of having an unfamiliar adult male in the adjacent bed (no lock, only a curtain as a divider), then staying here might be difficult. Also, since the shared space is not very large, you will encounter other guests fairly often indoors. Privacy is almost nonexistent. I do not recommend it for those who are sensitive, but if you enjoy the encounters and conversations that come with traveling, then definitely consider it. I had the opportunity to talk and get friendly with one Turkish, one Indonesian, and one Japanese male and female each. Thank you very much.
I was looking for a cheap place to stay while traveling alone. It was close to the station and the price was low, so I quickly made a reservation. I was curious about what it would be like, but on the day of my stay, I learned that it was a self-check-in with no staff present. I received detailed instructions on how to enter, so check-in went smoothly. The personal space is limited, but since I only needed a place to sleep, it was ample in size. There are shared amenities like a TV and a refrigerator. If you want to watch videos on your smartphone, there’s no problem at all, and since there are foreign guests as well, it might be nice to interact with them. The shower room was also kept clean, and I was very satisfied with my stay. I would like to use it again.

“Let’s be honest ”
We booked a double private room. First big problem, is that our room was right next to the main entry door, which is an electric key lock. Message to owner: if you can, turn off the sound on the electric key lock. Everytime someone opens the door, it’s super loud, you can constantly hear people come in and out. All these electric locks have volume function. I don’t wanna listen at 2 AM that people come in and out. The blanket had a big stain on it. Looked like coffee, or cola. Make sure your cleaning staff don’t provide such blankets. Another issue that will affect travelers, however it’s out of the hotels control: It’s right in a hot nightlife area with bars It was Saturday night, and even 2 AM I heard loud giggling and screaming from drunk people outside. I had to fall asleep with my noise-canceling headphones on. Now the good things: I only choose this place because it was the cheapest and absolute best price for the location near Shibuya at the weekend That’s why I didn’t give 1 star, but in my opinion 3 star, because I saved a LOT of money. Also I have no high requirements, so i’m fine with this, but it’s a big warning for others, who might have higher standards for me. Choose wisely.
