A Hidden Eden! Amazing Experience! ”
I spent my time at The Legend when Chiang Rai was just moved to a red zone for COVID. I wanted a comfortable, beautiful retreat for my birthday/staycation. The Legend proved more than expected! It is an Eden hidden in the middle of the city. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! You completely forget your in the city center! There are aLOT of mosquitoes but the staff warn you and provide mosquito repellent with your rooms amenities! The rooms are rustic Thai luxury at its best! I stayed in their Grande Deluxe Studio. It included a stone jacuzzi tub with a separate shower. (The toilet was in a separate room👍🏻) the king size canopy bed was very comfortable if you like a firmer mattress. Tons of comfortable seating in the room and around the hotel. The balcony overlooking a koi pond with fountains. Beautiful and relaxing! It’s location is on point! Walking distance to the walking street, Coffee shops, restaurants, Koh Loi park, and the hotel is also right on the rivers edge. The staff were extremely accommodating, and at top of their game. No slow COVID apathy in anyone. If they were not doing all they could to make their guests’ stay better they were working to keep the hotel and grounds in tip top shape. The breakfast and room service meals were top of the line. Very tasty and surprisingly affordable. The only criticisms I would offer is the limit on free water bottles per day. I was staying alone and live in town so the four I got were enough but if I had a travel partner or didn’t know the area, it would not be enough. This is typical for Thai hotels but…I think a 4 star hotel should have certain luxuries included unlimited free drinking water (if you call the front desk) for example. But I truly LOVED this place and I will be back for another stay soon.

On the river, close the Blue Temple. Lovely grounds, birds singing at breakfast, fantastic GM Erik, takes care of anything you need. Friendly, polite, attentive staff. Very comfortable, clean and relaxing. There is a sense of calm around the property and nice to walk around the garden and riverside area. Breakfast was the only downside - not much choice and hot items were cold. But a very good stay overall.

I wish I had planned a longer stay at this hotel. The grounds and facilities were lovely. The room was very spacious and aesthetically pleasing. The bed was lovely, but very, very firm, as is the norm with Thai hotels. The breakfast was excellent. I wouldn't normally stay at this place because of its high price, but Agoda's discount made it very affordable. I hope I can stay again - and if I do, I'll be sure to book an extra day.

Lovely Stay in Chiangrai”
We only stayed one night, but it was wonderful and wished we were staying longer. The staff was so friendly and helpful, holding our luggage while we were sightseeing for the day. The food was great. One in my group had some spa treatments and they were wonderful, too. My only two complaints... the beds were rock hard (but that seems to be everywhere we went in Thailand), and the pool was not heated, so it was too cold to go swimming. Thanks Legend for a great stay!
