Great value for money”
We had a very nice stay at The Hive. Pros: The hostel was quite clean and spacious, for example, our dorm room had 4 bunk beds where it easily could have fit 8 bunk beds. The security was excellent and we always felt safe and protected here. The bathrooms did get dirty quickly and sometimes one of the toilets did not flush, but that is our only complaint in terms of cleanliness. The hostel provided breakfast of bread and jam and peanut butter, which is basic, but you could have unlimited amounts as well as unlimited tea and coffee during the day. The staff were not overly friendly but were helpful when requested. The hostel is set up very nice with a huge common area as well as a game/lounging area. Cons: The location is not ideal. While it is about a 5 minute walk from the Boon Keng MRT station, that station in on a line that requires at least one transfer to reach many destinations with the exception of Little India. There is not a lot of restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity of The Hive, however you will find a great hawker stand about five minutes away with excellent, cheap food. As well, the wifi did not work in the rooms but worked fine in the common area. Overall this is a great hostel for budget travelers in Singapore. I would highly recommend it to future travelers.

Wonderful place”
It wasn't my first time to SG but first time in The Hive and this is the best hostel I ever stayed. My flight arrived around midnight but they said they would be waiting for us and they did, it's about 2am in the morning but the receptionist still came with a great smile. Really near to Boon Keng Mrt so easy to transport, also near Mustafa. A small negative point is just I couldn't connect to wifi in my room because the signal is so weak but it's fast in the lobby, and the breakfast is kinda poor. I do not expect too much with that room rate but it would be lovely if they had eggs, mayonnaise and salt like fews hostel I stay before. In general, everything is wonderful, clean bathroom, lockers inside the room and you don't need to deposit for your room keys :)

Not disappointed with this well-organized hostel”
My single room was a monk's cell -- a bed and a small table in a narrow room without even a hook. Towel are for rent. It was cheapest place I could find. I liked the staff and the location (near two train station and on bus routes and Little India is great). Okay the breakfast was extremely minimal even for a hostel. I used the laundry service – drying clothes was difficult. I rate the place high because it is a well-organized hostel.

Cheap priced hostel and good to stay for few days discovering singapore city. Rooms are small but if you only use it for sleeping it doest its thing. Bathrooms not so great and clean but once again you just have a quick shower and dont spend there long time anyways. Location is little bit out from central but merto station is really close so easy to go aroing city and also cheap option. Staff really friendly and helpful with any question you might have. Nice small free breakfast before going out for discovering city. All in all I would recommend for budget travellers. Good value for money.

the word “good” will never suffice the best experience we had in The Hive. Indeed, true to its promise of bringing the best accommodation in Singapore especially if you are travelling in group. Hotel staffs are very efficient and friendly, quality service day in day out.

i have stayed at hive for 2 nights. hive is a nice hostel. They have an high internet access, good location, near little india, so if you want to shop at mustafa or you just want to try indian food, i recommend you to stay at this hostel. Competitive price. But still to improve about the cleaning service.

The Hive is in good location (about 300m from MRT station), 500m from McDonald and Singapore Post Office, 100m from inexpensive Chinese restaurant, and etc. The Hive staff are nice and helpful. Rooms are clean but a bit old. Toilet and bathroom are very clean and enough for visitors. Breakfast is included.
