“Very convenient hotel with large rooms”

Even the cheapest rooms in this hotel are huge at about 30 square meters in the center of Tokyo. You will be hard pressed to look for similar hotels at the same price point as that of the Centurion Classic. There's a washing machine, detergent (pay 100 yen) and a built in clothesline and ceiling dryer inside the bathing area. You can eat on the countertop if you wish. Just lacks cutlery, so bring your own or use plastic utensils from Family Mart. Also has a coffee machine with free UCC pods. The hot water supply control is very weird (first time I’ve seen one), but at least you can control how hot you want the water to be. There is a microwave in every room, together with a refrigerator and a freezer that can comfortably store food (not the usual hotel minibar refrigerators). There is just no English TV channels except for NHK. They provide a free 3-in-1 charger with different USB heads for your convenience. The bathroom sink also has a large counter for you to place your toiletries and clothes on which I appreciate - in other hotels you can hardly place any stuff on top of the sink counter. Bidet is available as usual. Should you need more toiletries such as towel scrubs, dental kits, shavers, slippers or sleeping gowns, they are available near the lobby, although the quality is lacking. There is an air purifier also in the room. There Is also a dryer where you stand on it to quickly dry your axillary areas, although I have never tried it. You can borrow a handheld luggage weighing scale at the lobby. The cheapest room plan in this hotel do not include daily cleaning. However, they replace towels and garbage bags as needed. They partner with Airporter service to transfer your luggage safely to Haneda or Narita Airport. Same day delivery to both airports is only possible after 4 PM, so if you are taking a morning or afternoon flight, best to have the luggage picked up a day ahead by 9 AM. Location is perfect; only less than 5 minute walk to either Akasaka or Akasaka-Mitsuke stations. Family Mart and 7-11 abound (no Lawson though). There’s also a nearby post office and a mini Don Quijote (Picasso) among others. Overall, highly recommended.

    “Older, clean hotel”

My family and I have never stayed in Akasaka before. The area is surround by tall business building, almost like and island in a sea. SO many option to eat and drink if that's your thing, shopping as well. The hotel itself is an older hotel, hence the word "classic". Seems to have been renovated at some point. Rooms are huge by Tokyo standards which is great for families. In fact, the hotel had many families staying. The hotel staff is very attentive, sometimes a bit too much. As soon as you arrived you are greeted, offered coffee and some sweets which is nice. However, everytime you come down from you room or arrive back to the hotel, the staff comes swiftly from behind the desk to see you off with a bow or push the elevator button. May not seem like such a bad thing, but you would have to experience to see what I'm saying. In any event, the area is a little gritty and funky, can be very busy in the evening when people get off work and it just adds to the "old world" Japan charm. Almost like a showa-era theme to it.
