St. Hanshaugen hotels & accommodations

Just so you are warned, this is hospital hotel. It is located in a hospital, far off the beaten track in Oslo (but still close to the center), and is meant for post-op recovery and newly-birthed mothers. So, expect to see a lot of mothers dragging their babies along (as well as their tired husbands), during breakfast. It was quite a scene. Since this hotel is inside U...

The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are cozy and clean. Breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever had due to the vast variety and high quality of food. The free coffee/hot drinks machine in the hotel lobby is also a very welcome touch. Overall, I'd definitely come back to the Thon Hotel Munch whenever I'm back in Oslo.

Oslo is an expensive city. I originally booked us at a nearby hostel with a shared bathroom (which would have charged extra for sheets and towels) for the same price. But before the cancellation period expired, I decided to check here to see if there were any better place. We were so lucky to have found room at this hotel. (I guess there were some cancellation) ...
