"This was my 3rd trip to Sosua and I would not return here unless it was free. The staff was fine and the location is pretty good as I like Alicia beach. My only issue is the noise and the shower. The shower is almost useless.at least in my room (8). No pressure whatsoever. The switch that controls the ceiling fan had a high pitch buzzing noise that is really loud. I didn’t bother asking for another room because my instincts told me it would not be worth the effort. Also there are no outlets near the bed which is more of a irritation than complaint. There are people that swear by this place and maybe it was better years ago, but it’s definitely not for me."

"I booked a room because it fit my budget. However, the hotel was excellent and the food was really, really good. The staff was friendly and attentive. If your vacation includes the beach, partying, sleeping late and breakfast...Las Palmeras is where you want to stay. Mark my words."

"This hotel is right in the middle of the Sosua action, for good or bad, and not too far away from the beach. Actually, it isn't too noisy in the room. The rooms have nearly everything one needs for short stays, including a safe as well as refrigerator. Although I don't need it, there is a AC unit. The little porch looked down in the pool. The pool is in good condition, and it seems to never be used. The hotel has a good restaurant, which gives *one* included breakfast--not one for your guest or the other person in a couple. The main issue is that only two people are allowed in the room at once. You cannot have two guests with you, no matter how much you pay. The staff are all good, and it seems like a safe place."
