"Ayu Kintamani is truly a luxury hotel with private villas each with their own pool. We had the honeymoon suite and it was massive and furnished fantastically. The villa pool was awesome and the rooms very clean and large. The other huge resort pool and three hot pools were also mind blowing. Two flat screen TVs if you wanted to use them although no DVD player which was a shame as there were some DVDs in the cabinet. If you feel like some luxury when younarebgoing trekking up the mountain then think about staying here. "

"Although we spent only 1 night at this hotel but we really enjoyed our staying. Our room was facing the mount and lake Batur directly. If you open the sliding door from the room you can take a bath while enjoying a splendid view of Mount Batur in front of your room. If you are looking for a quiet hotel and you do not need any television or any other entertainment during your stay, you'd better to choose this hotel. This is the best hotel in Kintamani I've ever seen."

"We had a very pleasant stay in Villa Jempana (2 nights). The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The staff speaks fluent English and is very open to any questions. The first day, we did a hiking tour on Mt. Batur. Our guide Komang was very well taking care of us and showed us special places/routes on Mt. Batur with less amount of tourists present. We highly recommend doing the round trip on the crater rim for walking on a very exciting path and for the nice view into the crater and surrounding landscape (clouds in the crater dissolve). We liked this even better than the sunrise. The hotel also offers scooters ("bikes") for free! We explored the surrounding highlands and the sunset swing!, which offers an amazing view into the volcano caldera with lake Batur on the one side and into the endless djungle on the other side. Hills are extremely steep, if you travel as a couple use 2 scooters for the reason of power and braking capacity. 1 star missing - shower not constantly hot"

"Beautiful spot with panoramic views of Mt Batur volcano and lake. Run by a very friendly family who provide great company to anyone who wants to sit and chat, good food and range of services. Recently opened, they are keen for feedback and ideas to improve. The 4 rooms are individual chalets with open roof bathrooms. Simple but attractive and comfy with firm beds. Reliable power & wifi. Bit of a fly problem in heat of the day - but this is universally unavoidable in the area and the staff will help clear them out of the room when they get too much. We stayed 2 nights and would have stayed longer if they hadn't been booked up. Highly recommended!"
