"This is my 2nd visit here and both times I have found the location and the meals to be outstanding. A visit to Shuzenji is a lovely stop and this is a very nice place. The Onsen is nice, but beginning to show its age a little. However the meal and the service were lovely. "

"Overall satisfied, but beware if a big tour group is also checking in, as they may fill up the dining room and the onsen. Some food in the buffet line (such as tempura at dinner, or boiled rice at breakfast), are not replenished even if there are still at least 30-45 minutes left of the time period. Check out time is 10am. The Bamboo Room is nice with massage chairs and various games. Staff mostly speaks only Japanese. "
