I recommend a friendly hotel with a great location.”
First of all, the location in the heart of Shinjuku is great. However, families with children may find it uncomfortable due to the proximity to Kabukicho and the smell of cigarettes. The entrance through the basement was a bit difficult, but the staff were all friendly and provided good service. It was fortunate to have stayed at the Shinjuku Prince Hotel, even if it cost a little more. The room cleaning was also neat, and it was nice that they put up a "do not disturb" sign when we went out. The city view room had a beautiful view as well.
"Honestly fantastic" is already in English and does not require translation.”
We were a group of three who stayed at this hotel. The room had a city-like feel and we could hear the sounds of Shinjuku outside, but it wasn't too bothersome. The highlight of our stay was the amazing breakfast. We stayed at multiple hotels in different cities throughout our trip in Japan, but the breakfast at this hotel was the best. The coffee was especially amazing and made our day. The cozy and city-like atmosphere of the rooms was also great. I also have an interesting story about this hotel. During our trip, we thought we had lost a phone charger and reached out to the manager. The manager was very responsive and answered our question quickly. They were also kind enough to look for our charger after we had checked out. I will definitely remember this hotel and stay here again when I'm in Shinjuku. As you can probably tell, I highly recommend this hotel to future visitors.
First time visitor”
Location: The hotel is some distance away from Shinjuku station, not very near but walkable. Can be crowded during morning and evening. There are many very near eateries and family mart/7-11 within few mins walk, very convenient. Hotel: Staff were very approachable and helpful. Can speak fluent English and check in was smooth. Although the room is small but it comes with a small table and a bench, can party or snack at night. The whole room including the bathroom was very clean as expected. They provide all the amenities you need and replace them daily. They have air purifier in the room as well. Price: Generally higher than Osaka but we booked the hotel on the day of check in so I guess is slightly higher but is at a reasonable price for 5 days. Is cheaper than Shibuya area. Overall: We will definitely revisit Prince Hotel but probably will go for a bigger room type. We have a very great experience there and love the area.
Great location and helpful staff!”
Everything was convenient as the hotel itself was close to so many lines and literally above one of them. It's by the edge Kabuki-cho so there's a lot to do in the area alone. You're really spending for the accessibility. The staff were very friendly and helpful. And tried their best to communicate despite the language barrier. It rained on the day we checked in but they gave us fresh towels and allowed us to lounge until the room was ready. For a group, the rooms provided 3 single beds (real beds! not a cot or sofa bed) and was very comfortable. We had some issues with space but we were able to adjust. The only issue, which is small really, is that not all the floors had accessible vendo machines. Otherwise, would definitely book again in the future.
Strategic Convenient Location”
Been to Tokyo a couple of times. This time I went with my mom and bro so I needed a hotel that was near shopping and great food AND with a spacious room for 3 adults. Shinjuku Prince Hotel checks all these boxes! Beds are big double type ones and space to move in room is more than your usual Japanese hotel. Just a fee steps from hotel are Ichiran ramen, Gyukatsu Motomura and Coco Ichibanya. There’s GU in the upper floors of the same bldg and a train station. Since we had luggage and my mom’s a senior already so I preferred to take the Airport Limousine Bus than the train from Narita Airport to our hotel. This one is just a good 5-min walk from Kabukicho Tower where the bus stops. And the view of Tokyo skyline from our window had Godzilla’s head peaking from Gramercy hotel! Perfect :)
