The room is clean. There are two swimming pools which are facing the lake. ”
It was so pleasant eating at the dining hall. We could enjoy the cool wind and the view is fantastic. You could also purchase lobsters from the people who sell them on their sampan. As the lobsters are fresh, they taste so delicious. You could ask the hotel chef to cook the lobsters for you at reasonable price. I have stayed at the hotel twice.

Spectacular view but a few improvements needed ”
A friend of mine and I stayed here for 5 nights. The complex is huge and beautifully designed!... though one has to be prepared to negotiate numerous flights of stairs several times a day, and at times with luggage. There are a couple of very nice swimming pools and the view of the lake is spectacular! In terms of view, this is an amazing location!... and one can walk in about 1 or 2 minutes to a few shops and nice little restaurants nearby. The room was very basic but fine. The whole place is well maintained and kept very clean. There are a few problems though... 1. There was an unpleasant stench: the smell of sewage coming out of the bathroom plumbing system; 2. We had no Internet connection in our room; we had to go to the reception area for Wifi. Charlie at the reception has been very helpful and accommodating; we are very grateful. Despite a few needed improvements, this is still a good place to stay while on Samosir Island. We would return.

Suites is suitable for family with children to stay. Service is good, breakfast for suite room is 3pack/room. Room is spacious ,just little longer for check in (we arrive about 3.00pm but the room still not ready yet,but they do prepare immediately) Breakfast is avarage

A Grand Hotel in Tuk Tuk”
The hotel was so big, interesting view and friendly staff. I could say this is the most grand view hotel in Tuk Tuk and Samosir. If it is within your budget you should stay here. A lot of places to hang around chatting with friends or doing your works. Recommendation: We stayed in Deluxe Room. It would be better if they equip the room with cup for making hot water since they already prepared a water heater in the room. Complaint: They give us a new building but one of the room (146) has a broken shower head. When we lodge a complaint at the reception in Friday morning (18/01/19), the guy at the counter assure us they will attend to the issue however it was not being resolved till we checked out. He did not even noted down our complaint. I rate the staff as excellent for the overall but this one particular guy is unhelpful.

I booked a room which got 1 queen bed and 1 single bed . My room location is very good because the swimming pool and danau toba view just in front of our room. I hope samosir cottages resort can maintain its cleanliness and maintain the good furniture inside the room. The refrigerator in my room is a bit outdated and get rusty. My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Tqsm

Too many stairs to climb ”
The stay is absolutely awesome. The room is clean & spacious. The hotel area is quite big but they don’t provide phone in the room. So if you need anything you need to climb so many stairs just to go to front desk. The breakfast is just so so. They do not even provide 3in1 sachets in the room. The swimming pool is clean & just nice for our kids. The wifi connections is very poor. After all, the view is so beautiful with lake toba just infront of your eyes

The location is very strategic with stunning views of Lake Toba. Canopy is needed especially access to the lobby so that guests do not get rained on when getting on and off the vehicle. The sofa in the room (I and my family occupy the suit type) there is only one sofa, it needs to be added, the size does not need to be large, which is important to be able to sit comfortably with family members. In addition it needs to be equipped, make-up table chair, tissue room, trash can and spoon cups. Overall this hotel is quite satisfying especially if coupled with the completeness that we mentioned.
