The apartment met our expectations 100%, it was clean, the kitchen was perfectly equipped including a coffee machine and a microwave. The location was very good, close to the hot springs, waterfall and volcano. The owners were very nice and always made sure that we did not miss anything. I recommend staying here if visiting La Fortuna.

The location is very good, only 3-4 min drive to downtown and about 10-14 min drive to hot springs. The apartment is spacious and had everything we needed plus more. The AC was efficient and quiet, each room had a separate temperature controller, which was super, since our teenage daughter likes it cooler. The host is very friendly and very helpful. It was easy to communicate and we felt very welcome. He helped us with advice on what to do in the area. They live next door, so the check out took a min.

Andrés and Alejandra are very friendly and helpful. They fulfilled all our wishes. They gave us good tips for interesting places in La Fortuna and arranged a tour in some of these places. Alejandra washed some our clothes and Andrés arranged covid test for us. Every morning they prepared a variety of delicious breakfast.

The location is 12 minute walk (5 min in car) from center of town. Quiet and safe local neighborhood. The owners live next door so they are always available and helpful for local ideas. (restaurants, adventure parks, hot springs, etc)
It was prefect for my personal needs. It met my expectations for price, location, safety and convenience. If you want a quiet and local experience with a local Costa Rican family... this is the place you!!

Our stay at the Butterfly House was exceptional. The location was perfect for our family; we loved the feeling of being in a La Fortuna neighborhood. Also, the hot water in the shower was amazing. Our hosts went above and beyond to accommodate us and it was so fun to be their neighbors for 10 days!

Amazing people, best little accommodation for a couple or small family. So friendly and welcoming, would definitely stay again!
Everything was great! Only thing I could think of is it would be nice to have a little outside seating area down the sidepath to the room, just to relax in the evening

Everything was well organized, we were a little bit early but we were nevertheless perfectly welcomed. Everything was in best condition like Toaster, climate and fan. Thanks for a nice stay, its not to far from the centre, even to walk.
Sometimes the refrigerator was a little loud but it was good for sleeping.

Super calm environment, very slightly outside La fortuna busy center. Convenient location, very close to several grocery stores. In a 10 minute driving radius you have several highlights, like waterfalls and hot springs. National Park Arenal volcano is about 25 min drive. Andres was super helpful and always available to help in any way he could. Would stay here again for sure!

Amazing and complete facilities”

The apartment was everything one could want- 2 clean bedrooms (most importantly, one had AC!), a full kitchen with clean kitchenware, a clean bathroom, and a small living room. Everything was neat when we arrived. The location is a 5 minute drive from downtown Fortuna where all the restaurants are. The family lives next door and they were so attentive and kind.
