Riau Province hotels & places to stay

This is kind of budget hotel with free breakfast (fried rice or noodle, toast bread, coffee). What i like about this hotel is the location. Just across the street from Plaza Ramayana. You can take public bus from airport to Plaza Ramayana with cheap price. Also you can go to other places from this bus stop. Near to Masjid Agung An-Nur, Plaza Senapelan, restaurants and other shops. They have daily housekeeping. Clean and comfortable.

my stayed in aston hotel was amazing. i love the fact that it is located at the middle of the town itself. i just can walk to the mall and shopping centre. public transportation was easy to find since the hotel at the very front of the town main road. the workers at the hotel were friendly. i enjoyed my stayed in aston hotel very much and wish to come again on my next visit to pekan baru.

This week was the second time we stayed at Tune Hotel Pekanbaru. We back there because we are really satisfied with their services, their friendly and helpful staff, clean hotel (whole area of the hotel), fast internet (and free!!!!), closed to airport, located in city center, closed to restaurants. During our stay last time, it was still on promotion price, so we paid very cheap rooms. Surely, we will come back there if we fly to Pekanbaru.

I used Deluxe room at Pelangi Hotel. This hotel is recommended for you who want to stay at a comfortable cheap hotel. This hotel give you toothbrush and toothpaste. There is a shower with soap. But, the hot water with that shower did'nt work at all. Also, you wouldn't get a towel. TV in the room just has local channel, such as RCTI, Indosiar, Trans TV, Trans7, Metro TV, TV One, Riau TV, etc. There is no HBO, Fox Movies, MGM, Discovery Channel, etc. My deluxe room got a window face to Masjid Agung Pekanbaru. And you will find qibla arrow in your room (for moslem). But, first time I come to my room, I smell something not good from my bed. This hotel is near Mall Pekanbaru if you want go shopping especially if you want to buy mobile phone. If you want to find metered taxi (Riau Taxi), just go a little bit south from Mall Pekanbaru and go opposite road to Ramayana. Near Ramayana is the place for Riau Taxi. The Taxi near Mall Pekanbaru usually not used meter (argo). Only two taxi in Pekanbaru used meter (argo): Blue Bird and Riau Taxi. This hotel is recommended for backpacker and for you who just want to sleep at a comfortable hotel with cheap rate.

I am very satisfied staying there for three nights .Iwas well welcomed by yhe receptionists.The receptionists and the hotel staffs are friendly and polite. They are helpful, honest and truthworthy.I really enjoyed staying there. The quran and the surah YAASIN were placed in the table which are easier for the muslim customers to read.Quran an surah YAASIN cannot be found in other hotel. I loved this hotel very much. In future i would like to come to Pekanbaru and stay in that hotel.

- walking distance to food stall.. a lot of food stalls along the main street.. just 3 min walked from hotel.. - ramayana market just in front hotel.. 5 min walked n crossed the bridge - free airport transfer - served our breakfast at early in the morning 530am before our trip to Siak Cons: we are unable get wifi in our room 307 .. maybe the hotel management need to improve it.. Overall stay.. very recommended stay..you won’t regret it..

+ fast check-in +fast Internet +comfortable bed - the hotel transport supposed to pick-up us at airport but their vehicles broke down and never inform us,we took airport transport to the hotel. - on the first day, hotel reception promise us that we can check out on the the last day at 1pm,however at the last day the reception inform us that we have to check out at 12pm, if we late check out then they will charge us a day price. - be carefull when booking standard room, the room came without windows, on agoda never stated that the room no windows.

Normally for a low priced hotel I am generous with my reviews and don't judge them too harshly, because I don't expect 5 star service for a 1 star price. But for this hotel, there is no way I could say anything positive other than that the reception staff are very friendly and nice people. That is the only positive thing. The outside of the building looks fine, then you arrive in the opulent and lavishly decorated lobby and you think it must be going to be a good value hotel. Then you will go to see your room and at that point you better hope you have good control of your abdominal muscles or else easy access to a bucket. The room is DIRTY. Very much so. And the toxic levels of napthalene and other chemicals used to suppress bugs and stink from drain is overwhelming. This place isn't even good for one night, and we had to endure 5 nights of this hotel from hell, with our hair and clothes smelling of the chemicals for days after. Local kids stay here and use it for obvious things that can't be written on a family-friendly website, and those kids make noise all night running about knocking on each other's doors and chatting for no logical reason. The power cuts out constantly. The shower is warm water, which was a good point. We had to pay to clean the bathroom ourselves, because we couldn't even wait for them to clean it. They have 4 cleaning staff who don't know how to clean a room. Our bed had hair on it from previous guests, really obvious was not changed. Blanket was stained with menstrual blood in multiple places. Clearly had never been washed ever. The reception guy had to come to clean our room because the cleaning staff weren't up to the task and he had to use a concreting trowel to scrape the muck out of the corners of the room. These guys at the reception are really trying hard to make the hotel work, but the owner is too reluctant to spend money on his hotel, put too much into the lobby and left the rooms to go to hell, and they did! We moved to a bet

The staff was great and so was the location. The price was very reasonable, You can buy beer about a 1/4 of a mile down the road across from the Christian church. It opens around 5 pm. There is a good and cheap restaurant across the road. The breakfast was great and had a good selection. It included coffee, juice, tea, toast, cereal, rice, eggs, fruit, noodles, and more. There is a good water park you worth visiting called Riau Fantasi. The only small problem was that the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke because people are allowed to smoke in the hotel.

It is a new hotel so the room is still clean, the furniture still new and well-function. Hotel staff is friendly and well-mannered. The picture and the real room is the same. Simple and quite spacious. The TV slightly small but it is working properly and lots of channels to choose. Not many additional facilities as it is 2 stars hotel but it is acceptable. The toilet has soap dispenser only, no shampoo, no comb. Towels and toothbrush provided. The hotel provides hair dryer upon request. The water takes time to go into the drain so while you take the shower the water will flooded the shower area. Need to close the shower glass door slowly to prevent it from banging. Saw couples of ants only however overall the bed and the room is clean. Bed is big and comfortable.

Our late check in was received by okay management, as somehow they wanted to check and chekc and check and check our voucher - which is kind of silly since they should just simply match up my ID with the info on their side . But the hotel itself is likable. Right in the center of the town. Clean and efficient. Breakfast is also fine - the hotel is good for transit need.

This one was good 3 star hotel, the value was for 3 star service quality, the real publish rate actually overrated but then reasonable after discount. Even though this hotel was quite new but not everything clean and in good condition, there was small leak stain in my ceiling and wall room, the bathroom linen looks dirty and has some stain that seems they didn't wash them well. The bathroom amenities is not enough for me, there was no hand soap and small amount of toilet paper, but it's okay because I did prepare it my own instead of asking more amenities, it is need to be prepared when we visiting this kind of town. Breakfast was good and average, quite nice in meal choice, for 3 star hotel it is good breakfast. The staff was neat handed, amiable, and polite, good hospitality service. Actually I expect more from Grand Tjokro group since I had great stay in this hotel group at Yogyakarta which was 4 star, but overall for 3 star Grand Tjokro Pekanbaru was okay and good to stay during business trip, for pleasure and vacation I think you need to upgrade. I wish Grand Tjokro continuing to maintain and develop this hotel and make it better to be great hotel service.

This is a new hotel ( about 6 months ) and located at Jln Setiabudi off Jln Sudirman. We booked 3 Deluxe Rooms for one night stay (S$50/- each ) after returning from the Qurban ritual (Idil Adha) at Kg Pulau, Rengat (about 4 hours drive from Pekan Bahru). The room is big with king sized bed and clean white sheets. Toilet with hot shower is adequate and very clean. Aircon is can be very cold – with portable remote control. Breakfast is local and spread is adequate - friend rice, noodles, Chinese style porridge, desserts and toast. As usual the omelette maker will standby for your order. The shopping centres are not very far – along Jalan Sudirman and distance to Bandara Airport is about 15 minutes if there is no jam/macet Sometimes the taxi driver will ask for additional IDR 5,000 to go into the Airport – but I later learnt that taxis are exempted. The hotel staff including the bellhop and waiters are very polite. I can single out the tall, pleasant and very polite waiter ( don’t know his name ) who runs the karaoke/TV lounge on the ground floor who serve your drink orders at night. He will also be present during breakfast time. Pls extend my complements to him. Outside food is no problem. A lot of stalls selling noodles nasi Padang shops along the road. Contra : No extra pillows and the bathroom has two floor traps but poor drainage. Anyway, the stay is very pleaant. My friends were very happy with the choice.

Baru pertama saya menginap di hotel ini dengan kesan yang menyenangkan, dimana saya mendapatkan upgrade 2 kamar cuma-cuma dari Deluxe ke Super Executive. Pelayanan dari resepsionisnya (Mbak Amy) yang cepat tidak membuat saya menunggu lama dalam hal check in. Kamar yang besar serta nyaman. Memiliki sarapan/sahur yang lumayan variatif pilihan menunya. Lokasi dekat pusat kota yang mana menggunakan transpotasi umum dan online. Sekali Lagi terimakasih kepada Mbak Amy. 2 thumbs untuk Alpha Hotel Pekanbaru..
