Traveling to Norway? Find Oslo County hotels

Superb hotel and so close to the train and bus station, which was great when we arrived via the high speed airport train. All the staff are so kind and helpful and nothing is any trouble at all. The breakfast offers great value for money, it is busy but this is a large hotel. The staff work tirelessly to make sure there are clear tables to sit at and the choice of food is excellent. We were really lucky and were upgraded at no extra cost to a beautiful room with panoramic views of Oslo. This is a great hotel location for easy access to all that Oslo has to offer and there are plenty buses, trams and trains should you prefer to make use of these. We have never stayed at a Radisson Blu hotel before but after this experience, we would definitely do so again.

Hotel is just across the street from the Oslo airport and is an easy walk of a few hundred meters. You can also catch the train from the airport to explore downtown/historic Oslo. Hotel room was nicely equipped and had everything a weary traveler needs. Bed was super soft, which was surprising, but it didn’t impact my ability to sleep. Employees were helpful and efficient.

The hotel is closed to the Central Station and the Center of Oslo. The rooms are not so big but have all the basic needs. The only negative have to mentioned is the noise from the building next door, which actually is an extension of the hotel. The work starts at 9 in the morning and lasts till 17.00 hrs in the evening. Due to the renovation also a part of the Lobby and the hotel entrance was not in use. Good quality breakfast (eggs, ham, cheese, etc) included in the price. In general is a very good value for money compare to other hotels in Oslo.

The staff and hotel very nice, polite and helpful. I informed them by email earlier that I had traveled from Bergen to Oslo and arrived in the early morning. I would very tried, if the hotel have the early checked in or fee of early checked in, we are OK. On that day my friend also sick. The staff said my room was available, we got the room and no fee of early checked in. I recommend this hotel is far from Oslo station just 2 bus stops. We can walk to hotel. The supermarket near hotel too.

This hotel really did not meet my expectation, which was initially quite high. Rooms are quite small for the price we pay (which the week we booked were very high). There is no A/C (we were told multiple times by the Staff that it is normal for Oslo hotels!), Fan in the room did not work despite many requests to rectify. It was a hot week in Oslo, and these guys are not geared up to this kind of heat. Replenishing essentials in the rooms had gaps. Buffet breakfast is big, but very limited choices for vegetarians. Gym is quite good. Location is quite good.

Since I arrive at Oslo Airport at 23:00, I must stay in a hotel that siteated close to airport. I think this hotel is the best choice. Although I have to take a shuttle bus for around 10 minutes, but the shuttle bus is always available every 15 minutes (NOK 70 one-way, which is quite ezpensive). In general I like this hotel, especially delicious food is provided during breakfast time.

The best thing about Park Inn by Radisson Oslo was its location which was right in the heart of Oslo where everything was walking distance. The buffet breakfast was excellent offering a variety of hot and cold food. The staff were warm, helpful and welcoming. Wi-fi was excellent! The hotel bar opens until 2 a.m.! The rooms were well appointed and contemporary. Well, as expected the price inside the hotel especially the bar was really expensive, also the room price based on its star rating. However, this is one of the better budget options in the center of Oslo.

we were in oslo in the days following the bombing. we contacted the hotel direct to ensure it was ok and undamaged. the staff were reassuring not just about the hotel, but also about the safety of oslo in general. the room was large, clean with comfortable beds. the hotel is very central and the windows keep out any street noise. the staff were able to provide excellent instructions in english on using public transport and how to get to major museums and sights. i think the breakfast was substantial and catered for western as well as nordic tastes.

Value for money, studio room has a mini kitchen and cooker however it's too small to cook afte fitted in so many wardrobes and only with two plates and cups. The hotel room is clean and tidy with a balcony as well. If you pre order your breakfast one day before you will get a discount too I would say this place is cheap for Oslo. They should consider to make the hotel sign a bit noticeable on the outside.

This hotel was the cheapest option in central Oslo for the dates that we selected. The location is quite convenient as it is 300m to/from Tøyen metro station (2 stops east of Oslo Central Station). Between the hotel and Tøyen metro station, there is a small town square with a supermarket, a bakery, a pharmacy, a library, and some shops. This hotel shares the same reception with Best Western Apartment Hotel and the staffs are quite fast and efficient. The rooms are in another building, which may require an outdoor 20-30m walk up a metal-grill ramp or stairs (not very luggage friendly). The room we have is reasonably clean and comes with linens, towels, TV, wifi, and a kitchenette with simple utensils/cutlery. Our room's window faces the corridor so it is as good as no window, but nevertheless our room is value for money as it is cheap (by Norwegian standard), comfortable and quiet.

Love the place, with the swimming pool and the sauna being my favourites. Breakfast was good too. You'll preferably have a car if you're staying here though, may be a bit inconvenient to get around and about if otherwise. Probably the only downside was that the staff was a bit cold when we were checking in, and no offer of assistance with our luggages to the room which was some steps above. Nonetheless, stay was comfortable and will definitely consider staying there again if we return.

We enjoyed our stay here, the hotel was clean and relaxed, it is set in a business part of town away from the centre, it was full of mostly business people, some who were holding samples shows in their rooms. It was very quiet. The room was lovely and spacious, beds comfortable, nicely decorated with free tea and coffee making provided in the room, I loved the reclining chair and footstool provided - very comfortable after a long day. Breakfast include some organic items and very nice breads. Although away from the centre there was a supermarket near by and just across the road a well known fast food restaurant with cheap burgers from only 10NOKS. Also the hotel has a left luggage room, so perfect for us as we stayed one night left the luggage all day while we visited the Polar and Folk museums at nearby Bygdoy, and then walked to Frogner Park then picked up the luggage and walked a short way to the Skoyen station and took the express train to the airport. Best of all the hotel sold us a train ticket - albeit that it was an out of date version (Oslo is currently updated its tickets), however when we showed it to the guard we were let through!

The room was very large, as was the bathroom. Recently renovated with good design, good materials, and good workmanship. Big windows made it pleasantly light. I enjoyed being in an older neighborhood, especially since it was only a few minutes to walk to the fancy new neighborhood by the water. Even walking to the train station is easy; maybe 30 minutes, and the Vigeland park is only 25 minutes walk in the other direction. So all of central Oslo is easily accessible. Great that they had clothes washing machine, iron and ironing board. Also a "easy chair" for reading, which lots of studios don't have. Odd that I had to go buy my own toilet paper (partial roll there when I arrived didn't last long), hand soap, and laundry soap. Even the smallest quantities I could purchase of each of those was more than I could use, so I left a lot behind. Hope the next person benefits from that.

I was initially assigned to an attic room with slanting rooftop and a small window for double bed, while sharing one bathroom & toilet with 6 other rooms in an apartment with kitchen. It was horrible and have to request to change room and was reassigned to a nicer 2 rooms sharing apartment with only one bathroom and a kitchen. But there are more stairs to climb than the first one. Cleanliness and noise are all dependent on your room mates really. Luckily most of them are quiet for me as they are not a bunch of rowdy young adults. As long as everyone is out all the time and using the bathrooms at different time in the morning should be fine. Wifi connection is not bad. For budget conscious travelers this is the only place close to city by metro (2 stations away) which is easy. Oslo is basically a very expensive city. Any hotels right in central station are skyrocket prices. Or simply pay double more in this city apartment hotel to get full fledge service and ensuite room.

Just so you are warned, this is hospital hotel. It is located in a hospital, far off the beaten track in Oslo (but still close to the center), and is meant for post-op recovery and newly-birthed mothers. So, expect to see a lot of mothers dragging their babies along (as well as their tired husbands), during breakfast. It was quite a scene. Since this hotel is inside Ullevål Hospital, it is very hard to find especially if you are not familiar with Oslo. Do NOT rely on Google Maps to find this location, it will lead you astray. Just take a cab or the bus 37 from Oslo City Center, get off at Ullevål Hospital, and ask for directions. But, if you are already a seasoned Oslo traveller, then this hotel is a GEM! Quiet, cheap, has breakfast included. If you don't mid the cacophony of screaming new borns during breakfast, that is :-)

We stayed in 3 different hotels in Oslo: this, the Grand Hotel, and Radisson Blu Plaza. While Thon Hotel Opera is not the cheapest (Radisson Blu Plaza is 50 US dollars cheaper), but it's clearly the best. The Grand Hotel is way overrated; beaten by the other two not only in price (by a lot), but also in service. Thon Hotel Opera is truly right outside the airport express (Flytoget) platform, but also offer the best hotel breakfast we had during this Norway trip (3 hotels in Oslo, 4 in countryside). The room is clean, and it's equipped with a large TV screen, great for football game. The choice between this hotel and Radisson Blu Plaza is tough, for the latter is also adjacent to the central station, and the price difference is non-negligible. If we have to revisit Oslo again, however, we'll mostly likely choose Thon Hotel Opera.
