the receptionist doesn't stay at the hotel, she just comes when someone calls and informs her if there are guests, and we have to wait more than 1 hour for checking in because no any staffs in hotel. besides, the receptionist was nice to help us rent the motorbike, assisted all information that we needed Room was nice with lake view, hot water

The location is the plus point when staying at this hotel. From parapat, the ferry will send you to the hotel directly. It goes by its old name though "Hotel Ambaroba". Make sure to mention that to the ferry captain. There are many halal restaurants around the area and they are all within walking distance. There's also a natural swimming pool in front of the hotel by the lake. Enjoy it if you dare. The scenery is always superb especially in the morning. So peaceful, quiet and pristine. It's an old hotel so don't expect much with facilities.

Quiet, out of the way and empty ”
I decided to book this place because I wanted to chill out, have a few nice days in tuk tuk. Booked it because I’m the pictures it actually looks pretty nice, but that’s not really the case 🤷🏼♂️ I think it’s been created from another hotel ruins called ambarosa, the whol dining room is quiet with its lights turnt off most of the time, the staff are sometimes available, sometimes not and the room is clean-ish The floor had a bunch of stuff on it, the balcony was dirty and the toilet room wasn’t too appealingz For the price I can’t blame too much but there’s nicer places, across Indonesia and Asia for the same price which are much, much nicer “. I’d suggest trying to stay closer to the town too, maybe Roplan area?

The place was quite old so it was understandable. But there was some leak here n there not in the room but still, it can be quite unpleasant. The room itself was ok but the bed and cover has some black flakes. Also the restaurant didn't sell any food which is a lil bit disappoinment.

make 2 different booking from 2 different platform... book 2 family room 1 junior suite... end up get 3 family room (sounds like upgrade)... BUT sad thing is... 1 of the room looks scary shit... they only CLEAN where your eye can reach... NO HOT WATER/BLACK OUT problem... got aircon but not function... no fan... outside cool windy weather but the room ventilation is bad... ask for changing room with the staff... but seems like they just dont wanna help you so...

Arrived there around noon-ish and weather was perfectly fine. By the look of the hotel's physique, you can tell it's an old building with a little touch-up. Room wise it's just okay. Cleanliness was poor, lack of room facilities, limited receptionist, no boiling kettle found in room, no amenities or toiletries, some area of the lobby/reception were extremely untouchable and not clean at all, bugs were biting me while waiting for my noodle cup boiled, got some bugs bites too (not sure if it was from the bed or from the outdoor). One thing I love about this place is their backyard. It' is a direct access to the lake and views. You can jump for swim or fish or even do activities like Kayaking, Jet-Skiing, Banana boating, or just chill by the side of the lake with a cup of coffee (BYO of course lol).

Used to be abandoned place for a very very long time”
Dusty and filthy old building, looks like only have 2 staffs for all the work during holiday season (cleaner double work as receptionist) so most of the time nobody at the reception desk and once they're there, rude as hell, expect zero hospitality! Only stay there if you're really really really short in budget, yet there's still plenty of other budget choice that might be better than this, we thought it won't be this bad cos we believe Reddoorz has a benchmark quality, apparently not, disappointed! Wifi didnt work, no electricity for hourss that we decided to leave that place first thing in the morning, the only positive thing about this place, huge parking lot.

Arrived there around noon-ish, didn't expect the road was extremely tight to get around the hotel, but still managed to get there. The building physique looks old, just a little touch up here and there. plenty of parking space and BBQ areas. Poor cleanliness in lobby, restaurant (closed-or not taken care of- looks dark), and room facilities. No towel, toiletries or amenities found. You'll have to BYO. I got bugs bites the next day after staying there less than 24 hours. Positive intake. I love the view of the lake on the backyard of this hotel. It gave you a direct access to the lake Toba, you can just jump in for a swim or fish or do activities like Jet-skiing, banana boating, or just chill by the side of the lake with your cup of coffee (BYO of course-make sure you bring your thermal water bottle-it's windy there). Personally, I would not recommend this place for such a price. But, maybe you can try and have a different experience than me and my group.
