Prague 08 hotels & places to stay

I choose this hotel because it is close to metro Station "Kobylisy". It takes 15 mins to travel to city centre by metro, or 20-30 mins by tram no. 14. It is in the suburb area of Prague, but I don't think it's unsafe to stay. A convenient store is found close to hotel. The continential breakfast is nice. One big problem may be the noisy street with big volume of traffic. It could disturb your sleep, if you are not used to be.

arrived at prague main station, and taxi drivers refused to take to the hilton, too close they say. another said....siesta. then some clone of bora tried to take over our itinerary. i hate the eurotrash that roam around the old eastern bloc countries - it is time the czech republic raised the standards so tourists can be safe, secure and enjoy their stay. called the hilton hotel. they sent a car pronto, and the rate was very reasonable. prague is a bit run-down. the hotel was "ok" but customer service standards could be improved. supercilious attitudes in the pool reception area one day...all nice and smiley the next. consistency is what i expect at a hilton. airconditioning broke down. however it was our last night so it was ok.

The hostel was very easy to find from the nearest station. The night staff when we arrived was horrible - foul attitude and unfriendly towards us - and we were happy not to have to interact with her again. Booked a twin bedroom but got a room for 4. No other guests joined us. Big, bright room. 12th floor with an amazing view of the city. The layout of the room was good (maybe even a bit too much space). The area near the windows was given a couple of chairs and a table - very nice to have breakfast on. Windows don't open all the way. The shower was big and spacious and had good water pressure. Breakfast downstairs was well-stocked and had a lot of variety to choose from. Only 4€. Would 100% stay here again if I didn't dislike the city so much. Hopefully the other A&O hostels have refurbished too.

Hotel is located outside of City Center with easy underground connection available just 5 minutes walk from Hotel. Rooms were clean and and equipped with minum you need. Beds comfortable, which is important after long day of walking around city. Breakfast included is enough to cover you morning hunger. Wifi connection working ok. At the back of the Hotel yuo have basic market/store and 8-10 mins away you will find Kaufland. Neighbourhood consists of old mid 80s blocks. Hotel itself does not look very nice from outside and interior looks like it remembers 90s. But that does not have any impact on overal score of the hospitality, unless you are expecting 5 star hotel.

Easy to arrive If you come to prague by bus(florenc), good value breakfast buffet 60kr(yoghurt, muesli, cheese, ham, jam, fruit), quiet at night even at the biggest room, Nice atmosphere, good kitchen and common area, wifi works, cheap tap beer 29kr, helpful staff! Downside: annoying shower(you have to keep pressing a button all the time for water), needs more power plugs available

The Hotel Mucha is close enough to the main attractions of Prague without being so close that you get all the tourist traffic. As the name suggests, the hotel is themed with replicas of Mucha's art works throughout the rooms and lobby. The rooms are spacious, and furnished with very nice, solid antique wooden wardrobes, tables and beds (my double bed was two singles pushed together which may be an issue for some) which makes a welcome change from some of the very sterile furnishings that you get in larger hotels. However, it should be noted that the bathroom was a little primitive (which admittedly was an issue in many of the hotels I stayed at in that part of the world) although clean and functional.

It’s ok staying just a couple of Nights. The beds were ok, but no king size bed. Just two normal size beds put together. They don’t offer other language tv programs, personal was friendly but they actually have some trouble speaking English. Also negative to mention is, that they are hard to find, even with google maps. We had a small bath, ok for 3-4 persons sharing, but they don’t even offer plugs taking a bath. So we had to buy one. They don’t even offer a coffeemaker or a waterboiler on the room, even tho they knew we had a baby with us. (Cooking babyfood was hard) The breakfast was kinda good, I liked the all-you-can-eat character. There was some fish or fresh eggs missing. Over all ok but not worth the 4 stars they’re showing everywhere. Because the doors are not able to close exactly, you can hear every word on the floors. Overall it’s ok to stay some nights. Kinda cheap and a good breakfast. Not worth 4 stars, probably not even 3. better pay some more for your tripp.

My sister and I were well pleased with the hotel. It was a bit hot with only a fan provided late, but there was plenty of space and it was quite clean. The service was very friendly and helpful. The area is a bit of a hike for those with a lot of luggage, but we were backpacking so it was fine for us with a 10 minute walk to the metro. There was also a nice restaurant and bar nearby. Overall it was really good value for the money.

I was looking for hotel precisely in Prague 8 near metro station Křižíkova since I was visiting friends living in the area. The choice was quite limited. I opted for Adeba because of promotional price: 35$/night, breakfast included. I arrived about 11 a.m. There was no room at this time (check-in is at 2 p.m only). I left luggage in storage with no problem. Room was spacious, clean but very basic. Beds were comfortable, but TV was in Czech only :( WiFi in the room is for extra fee and was constantly disconnecting. Big disadvantage. My room's window was facing railway. But it didn't disturb sleep since noise was minimum and time range between trains quite big. On the 1st morning I tried breakfast. Choice was average, but not extremely poor. But I couldn't stay to eat because of very unpleasant smell in restaurant. Never returned for breakfast. Close to metro station is a Baguetteri with great coffee and breakfasts for small money. If I come back to Prague 8 and the promotion is still valid I'll stay again.

i was very satisfied with the room at karlin hotel; staff at the reception desk were friendly and supportive; room and bathroom were clean, internet worked well, and the breakfast offered a reasonable selection of food and drinks to chose from; the close distance to the metro station is certainly a positive issue as it makes connection to city center very straightforward and easy. the only thing that to my opinion could have been better: during the stay the temperature in prague was about 30 degrees celsius and the room did not have air conditioning. it was at least at daytime and in the early evenings a bit uncomfortably warm in the room and an air conditioning would have been appreciated.

as i said - good hotel for resonable money. small but clean rooms. free towels in bathroom. fresh and tasty breakfast (swedish table). nice and very helful owner (good english, no problem with communication). in reception you can get a free maps with all monuments on (also tram numbers and tube line are on), so you can plan your sightseeing. we've spent time with friends but i think this hotel is quite good for family with children. i hope i return there someday. i recommend.

This was probably the best hotel we stayed among 6 in 4 different countries in a two weeks span. The location is good, easy to find by car, and close to banks, public transport and restaurants. Just a quick drive from the historical city centre. The hotel itself is clean, modern, comfortable and staff are very friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is different in a very good way, having a lounge room with woodfire, games and comfortable couches. The finishes in the rooms are also above the average standard for the money. Next time in Prague we will definitely book the same place. We highly recommend it, same as others recommended it to us.

This was great value for money given that it included breakfast. It's a bit out of the centre and a taxi cost 300 koruna however bus and metro stations are very near by (we didn't use them as our stay was so short). The hotel was clean and reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a great nights sleep so the bed must have been comfortable and the room was quiet.
