A great location to spend New Year season”
Hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks away from Marina Bay. We booked this hotel for the specific reason that we went to Singapore to welcome the new year, and we wanted a hotel close to the bay. Although there other hotels closer to the bay, we picked Peninsula Excelsior because it is more affordable, with close proximity to Funan mall, access to underpass to MRT city hall, unobstructed view of Marina Bay, and easy to walk to and from the bay after the new year celebration. Room: spacious!! I love the fact that we were able to open all our 3 large luggages and lay them down on the side, with still room left to walk on, plus there is a seating area beside the window. The room was not facing the bay, but we can still see Marina Bay Sands and the Merlion from our window. The King bed was comfortable and firm enough for our backs. Bathroom is a little cramped but it sufficed. Would love better toiletries though. Also, there is not enough power sockets and it is not the universal one. But we bought our own adapters anyway. It would be better if there are power sockets near the bedside table so we can charge phones while sleeping or resting. There is a small craft beer bar downstairs which my husband loved. Haha! There is also access to Peninsula Shopping Center and Funan mall via elevator or walk around the block. Across the street there is 711 at Peninsula Plaza. If you walk a bit more, the Children’s Museum close by, which my 7-year old son loved as well. All in all, it was an amazing stay here! We might use this hotel again in the future.

A Pleasant Stay”
We went to Singapore for my husband's birthday. This hotel was chosen because of its positive reviews and its proximity to tourist attractions and transportation. We got our money's worth when we arrived at the hotel. They even brought us a cake to wish my husband a happy birthday. My husband and I were both surprised to find a cake in our hotel room after an enjoyable day at Universal Studios. We'd like to thank the staff for making us feel values. We'll be back in Singapore in March, and we'll be staying at the same hotel. 👌

Peninsula Excelsior is probably one of the best hotels to stay for an excellent view of the Marina Bay at reasonable rates. Food and room service is good. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to many establishments like the Raffles City. Many dining places around the hotel vicinity. Will book this hotel again when in Singapore.

Exceptional”
A very affordable hotel for a family.A walkaway to see the Merlion Lion, Clark Cay and the MRT station. There is two swimming pools which are very clean and nice. We can see the view of the MBS from the upper level at their Sky Lounge level 22. Sadly did not have the opportunity to stay at the room facing the MBS. Will definitely come again to stay there and get the room with MBS view.

Best location for walking to major attractions.”
The hotel is ideally situated near Wunan shopping mall, cafes, bars, food court and walking distance to all major attractions. If you need a ride share the Peninsula has the best pick up area out the front. Bed was huge, towels were fluffy and the free items like shampoos and body wash were replaced everyday. The pools were fantastic and safe for kids. The staff were really helpful. Staff will hold your luggauge after you check out so you can be bag free until your flight. Free internet. Walking distance to China Town, Raffles, Clarke quay night life. Will be staying again.

strategic location, clean rooms albeit a bit aged”
if you don't mind the age of the room ( they'll bring you back to the 90's) the room is clean and large, the location is strategic, with an MRT (City Hall) station quite nearby, a 7-11 just 50 meters away and a mall with enough restaurants and cafes to keep you from starving. the staff are a bit hit and miss i'm afraid. the receptionist was quite condescending during check-in, but the check-out and the front desk personnel on the phone were quite friendly and helpful

Ageing hotel still has its shine”
This is an ageing hotel but still has its shine. We stayed almost two weeks. Don't expect it to compete with a young hotel facility. But still is a good place. Beautiful large lobby to hang out. Very good fitness centre which has all you need for an extended workout. Friendly and very helpful staff. We sure will come back.

Great hotel fabulous location. Easy walking distance to boat Quay and Clarke Quay China town and little India. Used the metro close to city hall stop Clarke quay stop so very central. Lovely bedroom large in size. Very nice bathroom with bath and shower . Staff were very friendly and efficient

Excellent Location ”
Location is a major consideration when travelling to SG. Trains must be accessible to avoid long walks especially with young children. This hotel is near less than 500m walk to 2 major lines. It is also literally beside a modern mall which houses wide variety of restaurants, hawkers and groceries . Money changers is right just the lobby. Pool is well kept. My kids enjoyed it so much. Hotel interiors maybe kinda old for some, but I find it as an old school classic, you get everything you need from a hotel room. Staff are also kind and helpful. Will definitely go back to this hotel. Highly recommended!

I would like to make a bad reviews only for room 1602 for last night the baby crying and wailing at 2am and 4am so it's sleepless for me with my 6 year old daughter. we are room 1601. i dont know what to do but then knocking hard to the connecting room next door. then after that they said sorry.. the rest is great staycation i already recommended to my friends and family if they want to see NDP fireworks should be getting premier deluxe room corner area. the window view is relax and calm. I would come again. the cheapest to get at that area rather than Mandarin Hotel, Pan Pacific and Fullerton Hotel is very expensive per night. Thank you for getting us upgrade room from Deluxe to Premium ! My daughter love the pool and a minute walk to Funan Mall.

FANTASTIC!!”
We loved our stay at the Peninsular Excelsior. We arrived early in the morning (8.00am)and were not supposed to go into our room until 2pm but they said our room was ready and they had upgraded us! Our room was on the 16th Floor and faced the harbour and what a magnificent view it was especially at night. The staff were so polite and friendly, our room was lovely and big and very clean. The two pools were fantastic and the bar on the 22nd floor was fabulous. The location for us was great. We walked to Clarke Quay, China Town, Raffles, Marina Bay Sands etc. Check in and check was seamless. Funan shopping centre is right next door and the Raffles shopping centre is about 3 minutes walk. There are plenty of taxis pulling into the hotel at all times of the day if you need to travel to any where in Singapore. Special thanks to Vivian and Jacy who spoiled me on the first night with complimentary drinks and a birthday cake at the bar for my 60th birthday!! We will be returning!!!

Located at strategic location, short walking distance from City Hall MRT, convenient to go to Funan Mall or Raffles City Mall. Hotel is typical old hotel but have spacious room, comfy enough to stay. Cons only when I stayed, there's a renovation in one of hotel room and the sound quite bothering in the morning. Overall it's pleasant stay if you're looking for spacious room and strategic location.
