Beautiful view from our room on the lake, nice room and clean. Unfortunately only hot breakfast (mie or nasi), no alternative. If the service was good they should proposed us something else. Roti or toast would be fine. But overall a good place to stay.

the views are fascinating! but the hotel itself quite old but good enough for us, the water heater needs a long time to heat (probably due to super cold weather). The water drain in the shower partially clogged.

the room was quite good when we arrived until it started raining and the ceiling was leaking. The staff came and tried to help but nothing much can be done. they could not give us a change of room because all the rooms were full. Thankfully it stopped raining after awhile. I just thought my stay could have been better for the high price I have paid.

Old Resort But Still Functional”
I stayed there with three Indonesian friends. It was my first time to travel to Lake Toba since I am from the Philippines. The place was accessible but the rooms were really old. There was a problem with the hot shower at first, but their staff were very efficient and they fixed it right away. The breakfast was also good but you only have three choices. As for their facility, it is not that fascinating since it really is an old fashioned resort. As for the value money, I say it's a bit costly for a service and amenities like that.

Got my first room with some broken shower floor. But the staff told me to wait, and never come back until I go to the counter and ask her about the room. But she managed to give me another room, but the second room also having the same problem. Later she gave me another room it is in good condition. This place doesn’t need fan and air conditioning. Really cold. Got a lot of fantastic sunrise pictures.

pro : room facing the lake, beautiful pine tree, can swim at the lake, relax at the lazy chair watching birds and boats cross over, cheap hotel, boat send you direct to the hotel's jetty vice versa for 20k IDR. contra : hotel is running down,unfriendly staff, like not welcoming you, always playing with their handphones and unable to answer certain question. wifi available but password given were wrong, staf not helpful to get you the correct password. no daily bedmaking, hot shower was ok during my stay, just need to wait for 15mins before the shower get hot. breakfast available ala carte, but no staff at dining area and even receptionist, thus breakfast outside. the boat to go back to parapat a bit confused, staff said 0630am is the first boat, but the jetty worker said 0730am. in the end took the boat at 0730am and arrived at tiga raja harbour 1 hour later. you need to waiving the boat! to be advise that to stay at parapat or near the airport area 1 night before catch the flight.

Run down facilities”
The location of the hotel is fine, within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. It has a pier for ferries to dock and transport you to other sites. Sadly the facilities are badly rundown with little sign of improvements happening soon. Hot water was available only between certain hours, shower didn't drain, lights didn't work, wifi was unreliable. On the positive side, the room was large and it had a balcony overlooking the lake. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

I just enjoyed myself with my wife.rent a motorbike through the hotel rupiah75000 only(remember ask for discount,or they will offer rupiah85000)...staffs are very helpful but remember asking for hot water time(morning6-8am,evening6-8pm)...electricity always on and off,but it has a clean room with moderate breakfast.if u are budget traveler,only want to have a good and cosy sleep,this lakeside budget hotel is ur best choice(nothing can complaint with this price)...biking around the island is a great experience,don't have to worry about the safety at samosir island,the local I met,mostly very friendly....enjoy food at local restaurants,superb cheap,freshly catch lake fish only rupiah30000-35000(I don't think city can offer this price)...even others seafood u can get reasonable price...

comfortable stay on a holiday”
The stay at Pandu Lakeside Hotel at Tuk Tuk was better than expected. Room was big and reasonably clean though a bit dated. The hotel faced a good mountain and lake view but was unfortunately blocked by trees. Staff were very helpful and friendly and provided use will all useful info. We enjoyed staying at the hotel. i will stay there again if I visit Lake Toba again.

Great location with awesome staffs”
This was my second time here and this time around I was with my family. The place remain pretty much the same as my last visit and I will definitely stay here again should I go to Samosir Island. The food here was pretty delicious but be mindful that they might actually take quite a length to get it prepared. I love the fact that there is a private beach just 100m from the rooms and the scenery has always been intriguing.
