BEST MASSAGE of my life! (And my husbands!) The massage was in a beautiful location on the side of the hill overlooking the ocean. Beautiful room! Loved the indoor/outdoor design. Beautiful pool and fun pool slide! The morning yoga class was amazing! Breakfast buffet and all meals were healthy and delicious! Incredible views from the room and restaurant. We stayed here for 2 nights between coming from Lombok and going to Ubud. We didn't explore the town of Padang Bai at all, but it was a convenient location near the port. Being in Padang Bai we were able to take a day trip to Pura Lempuyang Temple and some other sites in the eastern side of the island. It was a lovely place to stay, relax, and forget about the rest of the world.

OK Divers Resort and Spa is just perfect! The best place to stay in Padang Bai. Great facilities and location, super friendly and helpful staff, everything clean and well taken care off. My first scuba diving experience was here and I would definitely recommend it. Their restaurant has great food and deserts, fresh juices for breakfast, their spa has great packages and super relaxing conditions and the products they have for sale are superb! I actually regret not buying more bath salts and exfoliating soaps. If I ever go to Padang Bai again, I won't think twice about OK Divers.

i was there as a solo traveller . The owner Mr Daeng is very friendly and he makes a big effort to make all guests feel comfortable. The swimming pool is a great place to chill out in the evenings or in days when the sea is too choppy, which makes swimming/snorkelling a hazard. There is a complimentary shuttle which ferries guests between town and the hotel during allocated hours, and it is very useful as the hotel is located around 1km from the town centre and it is up a steep hill there are 2 beaches in padang bai and the blue lagoon offers great snorkelling opportunities. Numerous great seafood eating places and temples here too. Most people just regard PB as a transit point between Bali and The x3 Gillis islands, failing to appreciate the natural and cultural jewels" that this place has to offer. PB can be used as a base to explore other surrounding towns

Nice hotel, large room, nice garden, large pool. Could need a bit of polishing/painting here and there but overall satisfactory. Location is convenient: both 10 min to Padang bai fast boat terminal and to Blue Lagoon beach (over a hill). Only the bunch of mosquitos in bathroom was making me nervous, don't know from where they came but they should try to prevent that.

The reviews we read before booking were spot on. Perfcet location if you're staying one night before heading over to Gili. Tidy but dated rooms. No hot water in our room. Very pushy manager who sits down with you for your welcome drink and tries to sell you boat tickets for a ludicrous price. He came in at $1.3m IDR, we ended up paying him $900k return. This was okay, but I would suggest asking your driver to stop at some ticket offices in Padang Bai before you arrive. You'll see they all advertise for $800k. We would stay here again based on location and acceptable cleanliness, just be prepared to negotiate those ticket prices down.

With fantastic facilities and cleanliness, Villa Sauri was already superb value for money. The rooms are spacious and well air conditioned, with comfort in abundance. However, the friendliness of the staff and their desire for you to truly enjoy your stay at Villa Sauri promotes your experience to the next level. Superb location just a short drive from the port of Padangbai, where you can easily catch boats over to the Gili Islands. The management have good offers on boat tickets as well and ensure everything is plain sailing on your boat trip. Couldn’t recommend this accommodation more highly.

We were pleasantly supposed with our stay here. The room was nice with a nice balcony area. It was basic but so is pretty much all accomidation in Asia, so don't expect a 5 star place. The staff was nice, although we struggled to find them sometimes, there seemed to be no one around most of the time. We had a nice breakfast - they made it early for us as we had a boat to catch. In the centre of town so close to everything

If you want to sleep to catch your boat / ferry the next day, this is and isn't the place to stay. It IS the place to stay if you want to be right next to the port. It ISNT the place to stay if you want to get any sleep at all. The roosters will keep you awake, the port bell sounds will keep you awake, the neighbor's music will keep you awake, the motorcycles will keep you awake, the air conditioning will keep you awake, and the fan will keep you awake. The room is clean but super basic and old. They do have decent wifi and it was nice that the room came with an AC and fan. Wouldn't stay here again. But I wouldn't stay in Padang Bai again either.

pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of Bamboo Paradise. for about 10 to 12USD a night, the shower was strong and warm - not a miserable drip of icy cold water. the bed was metal frame, so not that wobbly. mixed dorm room has AC and a fan, so travellers who feel cold can opt for a fan instead. the bed was soft and i was so delighted to see that a big towel was provided as well! there was a shower and toilet in every room, so you only got.to share with the people staying in the same room as opposed to the entire lodging compound - of course it will be much cleaner in this way. Ayesha - the owner, was certainly most helpful and responsive. the hostel driver was over an hour late and did not seem at all apologetic. he even forgot the sign with my name so there was no way we could ID each other efficiently apart from PA system via flight info desk. Ayesha didnt just leave me in the lurch though, and got it settled ASAP. breakfast was scrumptuous as well, huge portion for me and the watermelon was great! yum. i have stayed in europe's hostels and seriously for 10 to 12USD a night, Bamboo Paradise right by Padang Bai ferry terminal is a shangri-la. also after a day of travelling around, i was more than glad to settle down.

My partner and I booked Bay View in order to be close to the harbour at Padang Bai for our trip to the Gili Islands. The hotel is an older traditional Balinese house which is very quirky and set within a little cluster of houses. The only thing I’d mention is there was building work ongoing immediately next to the property which looks pretty messy at the entrance and did generate a little noise. The property is really close to the harbour and the lovely Blue Lagoon and Whitesand Beach. We stayed firstly for one night in the top floor bedroom which is slightly more (INR350,000)- it’s larger with a lovely balcony with a great view across the area and to the sea. The facilities are basic and the bathrooms could do with an overhaul but for the money, it’s excellent value so we had no complaints at all. The owners were really kind and provided lots of breakfast and also safeguarded our cases whilst we were in Gili. Upon our return, the larger room wasn’t free so we had the second bedroom at INR300,000. It was more basic so I’d advise opting for the top floor unit given the minimise price difference.

We stayed in the serangan inn II one night to be close to the harbour to leave the next day to the gili islands. The room was clean and had as much space as in the pictures. Close to the blue lagoon beach and the white sand beach. For one night it was an okay place to stay. It doesn't bother me, but the showers only had cold water. Just so you know before you make your booking.

We stayed 2 nights while exploring the beaches around Padang Bai. The rooms were basic, but clean - although the bathroom paint & grout needs attention. The staff were very helpful, even escorting us down to our Lombok fastboat to ensure we got on the right one. The breakfast area is on the roof, and you can enjoy the harbour view while eating a tasty breakfast. One night a week, bar/club noise From the Main Street is fairly loud until about midnight.

I booked the double room in the Villa Manouria for 9 days, even though I was a bit unsure due to the lack of reviews and general info. Since I was in Bali a few days before our arrival at the Villa Manouria, I checked out the location a day before our arrival. That turned out to be vital, as the villa is a bit hidden; the address doesn't really work with Google Maps. Once found (there are quite some stairs to be taken, but the view repays that) I met the wonderful staff. Due to the fact that they are used to french guests, their English wasn't exactly useful. As I speak Indonesian it wasn't a problem, but for other guests it might be a bit exotic. The staff is wonderful and try to fulfill your every wish, e.g. in terms of breakfast. The Standart (banana pancakes) wasn't out thing and from day two on we got Indonesian style breakfast. Others had an egg-toast arrangement and were happy too. The entire place feels like a homestay, it's only three rooms, you quickly get to know the other guests and staff and Chico the Dog. I would recommend it to people who. want to stay a bit longer in Padangbai, e.g. for diving. For people with a transit plan to Gili T or Lombok, I'd rather recommend a place at the main beach. Only con: The pool was pretty dirty and therefor not really used. I was in there twice, but mainly to help clean it ;p

The guesthouse is located about 10mins from the port. The owners are just amazing, they will treat you with the welcome drink and sometimes even with banana pancake. Breakfast is very tasty and pretty large if I comoare to other places we stayed in. You can rent a motorbike here for a really good price. The owner will help you with all other booking for a decent price. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thnak you very much for your hospitality

This is located in harmony local warung. The owner live downstair, the whole family are nice person. The staff are nice too. Upstair where we stayed , looks more like apartment with kitchenette and balcony. The entrance to Upstair is private too. Everything is clean. Wifi works fast. The only thing i don't like only the pillows it's really hard pillow to sleep on. The location is great 5min walk to bias tugel beach. And 10min or less by scooter to blue lagoon. Quiet area so u won't be bother by noise of the port (harbour).

A charming kind of loft place build in wood and very relaxing. It's some kind of b&b with possibility to cook your meals if you like to as it includes a kitchen in open living area. Very clean and useful with a massive Sound system if you want to watch a movie😀 The bedroom is a bit small though and the bed a bit hard to my standards but overall more than positive. Situated outside of the busy Padang bay it's perfect to chill before taking the boat to gilis or lombock.
