The pretty Pachira Lodge is located 5 minutes’ boat trip from the entrance to the lush Tortuguero National Park. It offers an outdoor pool and sun terraces, as well canopy tours and green turtle spotting. Set in a 34-acre estate, the hotel offers spacious rooms with vibrant décor. Each has a ceiling fan, screened windows and a private bathroom. Massages services for a charge, as well as guided tours, bus and boat transportation from and to San José City with an additional fee. In summer, you can also spot green turtles laying eggs nearby, arrange canopy tours and sunset boat tours. Free Wi-Fi at the front desk are on offer. The Pachira is set across from the main canal facing the neighboring town of Tortuguero.

Set in the middle of the jungle ”
As much as I liked the setting of in the middle of the jungle, it was annoying to pay to pay every time I needed and wanted to go to Tortuguero. The food in the hotel is not great, so alone for that you need to leave the lodge. On the other hand the cabins are big, the pool is nice and the setting is beautiful. Howler monkeys wake you in the morning and an armadillo walked just next to me in the lodge.

Pachira was a very good experience, the beautiful place, and clean, the hotel service and the tours that can be done while in Tortuguero are good and there is a lot of choice of tours.

Unser Aufenthalt war ok. Bei der Anreise hat uns leider niemand abgeholt. Es war sehr nett das wir aber noch ein verspätetes Mittagessen bekommen haben. Für 2 Nächte in Ordnung aber nicht länger. Die Pool Area ist super schön, leider haben die Zimmer keine Air Condition und man wird gezwungen beim Essen in Gruppen zu sitzen. Das Hotel hat hauptsächlich Gäste 50+!!!! Wir haben uns total fehl am Platz gefühlt! Leider haben wir keine Verpflegung für unsere Abreise kurz vor dem Mittagessen bekommen. Ich finde die Touren die bei dem Aufenthalt dabei sind auch nicht wirklich toll leider können diese auch nicht mal selber gewählt werden. Die Auswahl an Essen ist wirklich nicht ausreichend! Unser Aufenthalt wurde aber durch die tolle Natur und den Pool Bereich zu einem tollen Erlebnis.
