Nakhon Ratchasima City Center hotels & places to stay

This Hotel is very acceptable. The staff are friendly and speak adequate English. The rooms are well presented though very similar in design and style as many Hotels in the price range. It is a shame that information in the room is lacking in everything except a detailed explanation of every possible item in the room and how much it will cost you if damaged or missing on check out. For the first time, I encountered a central control panel beside the bed that takes care of the air conditioning, the tv. But I didn't find out until I went to reception to ask why my TV didn't appear to be working. Power comes from a button on that Control panel and then the remote comes into use to switch on and select Channels etc. They could easily provide more useful information in the room about the hotel and its facilities. But this is a small gripe and I have no problem in recommending this as a nice place to stay and within 5 minutes walking distance to "Terminal 21". One of the best Malls in Thailand, I think.

the hotel is located near the city center. hotel staff are very attentive and welcoming, on top of that very helpful. we got great suggestions of local restaurants, things to do, where to buy souvenirs etc. the breakfast offered with great number of choices including thai, chinese and international ones. the food was fresh and tasty. the room we stayed was spacious and clean. the decoration was nice and modern. we had a great stay.

At this price, Kantary is certainly value for money as it's a 4 to 5-star hotel. Although there are Thai and Western selections, I noticed the breakfast buffet has an unusually high number of Japanese dishes. Personally, I prefer more Thai dishes, particularly Isan since Korat is the gateway to the Isan region. The room is spacious, bright, clean, and still new. The mattress is perfect for me without being too firm or too soft. Water pressure is good and the air-conditioner is more than adequate for this room size. We had our own vehicle, so getting around Korat wasn't an issue for us, even though this hotel is located at the west side of the city center. The hotel provides shuttle service to a nearby mall a couple of times a day. Staff are professional and helpful. However, some are young and shy, so they don't smile. I'll definitely return to Kantary the next time when I'm in Korat.

Remember this is a budget hotel and not a 5 star resort. But saying that, the one bedroom apartment style room is spacious and comfortable for a short or long term stay. We traveled with two children under 7 and they had plenty of room to play with there toys while we relaxed and watch a movie in the evenings. Pros - Staff are friendly and helpful - Quite location - 5 min drive to all major shopping centres - Easy to find ( just off the main road ) Cons - Must have own car for best results - The room is very clean on the surface, but if you look closely you can find areas that need attention ( ie balcony where birds tend to sleep ) - no swimming pool Over all, I would be happy to stay there again Probably one of the best value for money hotel in town

It's pretty nice. The staffs were very nice and polite. The room and the hotel is new, clean, and decorated in modern style. Also, they've provide you microwave in the room along with refrigerator full with reasonable-price snack bar. The location is good if you would like to stay at the city center. However, with this location, the hotel doesn't have quite a nice view but, overall, it's still worth what you're paying for.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times. They are slowly completing a complete renovation. The rooms are now in a clean, Scandinavian light wood paneling and floor. New high tubs in the bathroom. Staff are super friendly...Food is good as long as you like Thai. Has a good parking lot. It is in the Old city so it is not really city center anymore, but easy to walk around.

Som O House hotel is everything as shown in the pictures. Nice new building with roomy, nice and clean rooms. A good bathroom with a separate shower, so the rest of the bathroom stays dry. WiFi works well and is quite fast. Breakfast is buffet style, catering somewhat more to the local clientele than westerners, but there is coffee, tea, juice, bread (white and whole wheat), butter and jam, fried eggs, salad. Staff was friendly, helpful and forthcoming all the time. I speak Thai, so I don't have any idea about the English skills of the staff, but in the room was quite a list of instructions, only in Thai, making it very difficult to understand. The surroundings of the hotel are quiet, but the let down for us was the sound proofing in the hotel itself. We had the bad luck, to have a child running around all night in one of the rooms above us, keeping my wife awake. The TV's are mounted onto the walls, which led to us being woken up at 6 in the morning by the TV from the room next to us and on the following night being kept awake till 1. Luckily the staff, when asked, did a much better job on asking our neighbor to reduce the volume than I did myself. All in all, a very nice hotel, but you have to be lucky with the person in the next room. Wiebe

We booked this hotel through Agoda and stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to Khon Kaen. I called the hotel to inform the that we will arrive by midnight but unfortunately the traffic was so bad so we arrived around 4 a.m. The owned called me to make sure if we were ok, he called us again to give directions to hotel and waited for us in front of the lobby. It was really nice... The hotel located right in the middle of the city and has three floor. It has no elevator, so if you bring a lot of luggage, better stay at the second floor. The rooms were clean and every room has theme. Breakfast was not buffet style, but ok. We had fried eggs, sausages and bread. But we have to pay for the coffee..

The room was spacious with modern decorations. Didn't like the hard bed and the fact they don't offer toiletries but considering I paid about 500 baht for it, I can get by with buying my own. They offered a light Thai breakfast and instant coffee which isn't so bad. A small swimming pool which is nice for the price. The only thing would be location, if you don't have your own transportation then stay elsewhere in town because this place is far from town center. The place is 5 minute drive from saveone flea market.

The Change is fairly well located if you have your own transport. Approx 5 kilometres from city centre. The room is a good size for 2 people and the facilities are very clean, well presented and modern. Pool area is very nice and the gym is well equipped. No self-service laundry on site and rates for in-house laundry services offered are ludicrous. No restaurant on site (as advertised on Facebook) however breakfast can be ordered in advance and delivered to your room, but there is plenty of good eating in Korat so no real issue here. Overall I think 7.6 is a fair score. I would stay again.

loved this place! i have a 2 year old son and a hotel is just no good! i needed a safe quiet enviroment with room for him to play and make some noise! we booked for 2 nights but extended several times to stay the week! that must say something! i have spent the last 15 years travelling in the uk for my work only returning at weekends to my home so i feel i know something about this subject! the houses were extremely well planed, not expensively furnished but everything i need was there. good shower with hot water, air conditioning and extra fan. kettle for hot water when we requested it. no charge! outside area to wash and dry clothes. fridge stocked with beer and goodies and the prices ok. food available to your house with a 10 baht charge per plate... suited me when i was tired and didnt want to venture out into the city in the car!. the food was good! not ok, but good! breakfast included in the price, with help yourself extras but only the main oder a one off. eat inside, or out upto to you. tv in the inside breakfast area and of course in your accommodation with umpteeen channels so english available! if you want a family location this is ideal. if you want somewhere away from the town as a couple wonderful! korat like any city gets busy at rush hour and the turn offs on a dual carriage way. the first time if you arrive at 5pm it may seem hard but time your arrival and its not hard to find. lets face it any city has these problems!

The location is great. The mall shopping center is just opposite of the main road only 5 - 10 mins walks. Without personal vehicle, we can go around the city easily by Grab application. There is a family mart (a convenient store) just around the corner. The room is clean and spacious enough. Their parking lots are enough. There is a security guard during night time. Their staff are ok, but may be too neutral. Overall is fine for one or two night stay for business.

I enjoyed my stay here. Yes the room is tiny but it s functional, clean, comfortable and plenty for what is needed. Even the hotel does not provide a breakfast but there is a corner where u can grab some coffee or hot drink for free. Also, there are some cafe and restaurants nearby. With such comfortable room, free wifi, enough parking lot, this fulfilled my needs quite well.

Absolutely love the place , new and clean with modern minimal design — (bare wall / black metal with lots of glass windows). If you love black and white — this is it ! They also offer super king-sized bed which I loved — clean and comfort. black and white bathroom with white subway tiles — chic and simple. Super affordable place in a quiet neighborhood—it’s located further from the main road. Hence, limited parking spaces and not convenient for those who wants to go in and out from the hotel easily without cars. However, Grab is acailable there !

This is located in a quiet area of Karat, EXCEPT and no fault of their own they are building the new Central Plaza Mall next to it. But besides this, its a beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms for the price, the noise is not that loud and if you stay in the "n" building you cannot hear anything. The area has lots of place to eat from normal little cafes and Thai shops to nice little music bars as there is 2 Universities close by . Across the road is a BBQ seafood all you can eat and 150 meters down the road is a Steak House as well. Steaks for less than 100 baht. Bargain! Staff were amazing, as l had traveled during the day, l was concerned about staying in the "s" building close to the construction, l asked them to changed rooms, without any fuss, they moved me to the "n" building and upgraded me to a mini 1 bedroom suite. Amazing staff, lots more happened during my stay that showed me they care about their customers and their reputation. l will be back staying at this place soon, and once the new Plaza opens, it will be shopping heaven.
