"My husband and I stayed in one of the single cottages for two nights. Though perhaps a bit too closely spaced to the other cottages, the lumbung rice barn was a lovely concept and perfect layout with the bedroom and balcony upstairs and bathroom below. Everything was nicely, though simply, decorated and furnished and we spent a good many hours enjoying the rainy weekend from our balcony. There were quite a lot of ants in the bathroom -but no real complaints there as this is an eco-resort and to be expected (and even encouraged). The grounds are lovely and the food fantasitc. Community dance practices also take place at a community center on the property. Only positive things to say about this pleasant -albiet simple -hotel in beautiful Munduk. Munduk is lovely for long walks up and down the mountainside and through the bountiful fields."

"This is a great place to stay in Munduk, just a short distance from the village centre with large rooms, some marvellous views, a sense of peace and excellent family management. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices and we think they would be happy to pack you a picnic sort of lunch if you were planning to hike/walk for a few hours or more. A steep climb up and down to some of the rooms with the best views so if you're not up for that ask for one close to the restaurant. Super prompt room service. All staff pleasant and attentive. Easy access to waterfall walk. Great base for two night stay."

"Don't expect the best convenient location staying here but come on, you're in Munduk. That said, they have daily activities and buses out to spend your time here. If you're lazy to plan for things to do in Munduk, stay here and participate in the daily activities planned by the management. Service here is impeccable, they attend to your every needs. Rooms here do not come with air-conditioning, but you can easily request for a portable air-con to be installed in your room. And of course, the big attraction here is the infinity pool – great for pictures by the sunset or sunrise. "The facilities are pretty average as far as hostels go, but the staff at Dong Paloh made it the best hostel I've ever stayed at! They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and make me feel welcome. At the drop of a hat someone was willing to drive me in a car or scooter to the closest ATM, on a day-long tour, or even to Ubud! Even though I chose to go solo in a private car, they went out of their way to find ways to make the price lower for me like dropping off someone else on the way so we could split the price. Often it ended up being cheaper to ask them 30 minutes before I wanted to leave than it would have been to book in advance. The food is delicious, beds are comfy, and rooms are clean. When I checked out, they even sent me off with a goody bag of Indonesian pancakes to eat at my next destination. It was just the icing in top of a lovely stay. The family here have such good hearts and I would 100% refer Dong Paloh to any of my friends who want to stay in Munduk "
