Where to stay in Moalboal
Moalboal hotels & accommodations

Loved my trip to Moalboal. We went in order to dive (there's not much else to do). Quo Vadis is a great locally owned dive shop and a nice selection of accommodation. We went for the cheapest garden fan room which was brand new and had good beds with a clean hot shower. The rooms got a little warm as there's not much breeze getting into them. For a little extra the AC...

Great big family room that was clean and well equipped with kitchen and bathroom necessities. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. We had a big balcony with lounge chairs and steps leading out to the beach. Close to restaurants and dive shops. 5 star deal on the hotel. Note on the general area (nothing to do with the Hotel but good to kn...

We only stayed here 1 day, and the weather was a bit cloudy. But nevertheless we made the most of it and rented a boat, through the hotel; went snorkelling, sardine fishing and even saw and Touched a sea turtle! My partner an I have recommended your hotel to friends we have met.. and are arriving there in a few days (an Australian couple) our room was lovely - room #1...

This was our first stay at Dolphin House, after visiting another hotel in Moalboal before. This year we stayed for 9 nights over the Lunar New Years holidays, with the hotel being fully booked. Moalboal is not as developed as many other areas, thus protecting some original flavour, not being too touristic. The conditions for diving are great; this is true for the divi...

Great value for money. Amazing location - next to the top dive shop, best restaurants in Moalboal and right on the beach. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the staff was accommodating and let us check out after our dive. The mini bar items were very reasonably priced and there was even a water cooler in the room. The "Sardine Run" and "Turtle Bay" attractions ar...

We chose this hotel because we didn´t want to stay directly in Moalboal city proper. To get there, you can take a bus and a tricycle. This resort sits at the end of White Beach above a small ridge. In front is the house reef which is quite amazing for snorkelling. The rooms are basic, but equipped with an aircon and sufficient. At low tide, you can walk over to the wid...

Couldn't have asked for more! Moalboal Beach Resort was able to provide a great weekend getaway to a solo backpacker like me. I enjoyed the scenic views the resort has to offer- the lovely beach, clean pools and their green luscious forestry and garden. On top of that, all the staff were warm and accommodating. Add that up to the fact that the resort's owner was han...

Great place to stay in Moalboal, very friendly and accommodating staff. Love the ocean breezes and our bed was super clean and comfortable giving us a well needed rest while traveling the island. Complimentary breakfast was awesome and serving size is more than adequate. They upgraded my family to a bigger room with a tv so our son could watch cartoons at no extra char...

Sea Turtle House is a beautiful property on the sea front. You can walk down steps to the water and plunge into the clear pristine waters. Corals can be found right in front of the property but better corals are found about 50m out where the sea floor falls sharply into the deep blue. Numerous sea turtles can also be spotted from the hotel. The staff of Sea Turtle Hou...

It was a four-hour bus ride from Cebu City to Moalboal. We were dropped off Gaisano Moalboal. Tricycle drivers in the area know how to go to the hotel (150php for three persons). We arrived at around 7 in the evening with the receptionist waiting for us at the door. We were served with mango juice and wet towels to freshen up. The cozy ambiance of the lobby/mini living...

This was our 2nd trip to Moalboal and we are so glad we stayed at Kasai - so much so that we ended up staying 5 nights instead of 3. The resort has heaps going for it -perfect size -extremely well run dive centre (they even offer tech diving) -lovely dive masters and boat crew, especially Alex -large dive boat -spacious comfortable rooms -yummy restaurant -good loca...

I love this place and the people here. I've stayed in three spots in Moalboal now, the others much more expensive, but this is where I'll return. It's much more convenient, bring just steps from "town". (The one tiny walkway past stalls and places to eat and drink.) One caution: Saturday night. The single nightlife activity for this small beach town is their Saturday...

I stayed in two different rooms at Maya’s, Eco 1 and Eco 2, in September, 2014. They were both air-conditioned and each had a double bed and a single, with ensuite bathrooms. They were very spacious, with plenty of space for a family or a few divers with all of their gear. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to take care of me. In fact, when I show...

We absolutely loved this place. It was by far the best place we stayed during our 2.5 weeks in the Phillipines! The resort itself is fantastic. All rooms are facing the ocean just a couple of meters away. The grounds are well kept and have lots of small areas where you can sit and relax and enjoy the view or get a fantastic massage. You can go diving/snorkling right t...

The staff at T breeze were so so kind and genuine, they made our stay very homely indeed. The location is perfect for snorkelling, we snorkelled with Turtles almost every time we went swimming (twice a day), best done at high tide, also swim out to the underwater cliff and turn right for about 200 meters to opposite Asia Belgium resort for the best area of reef. T Bree...

Had a great stay at Allergia. A bit overpriced. Free breakfast was basic but is exactly what you would get as a western breakfast in town, but tasted better because it was included. They also had some Asian noodle options that were included too. Location was a quick 5 min walk into Panagsama Beach area- I was really happy with it but remember that there is more to Moal...

Accessible to moalboal beach-side shops, near food establishments, very homey vibe of the whole place, with place to wash your swimwears, with contacts also for island hoping and canyoneering (just ask ate Doreen:) and my fav of all is their friendly guide dog Galaxy (so adorable!!)

Like the other budget options in town, there was no hot shower but given the hot weather in Moalboal it didn't really matter. We paid less for Nido's and got free use of the pool and Internet at its sister Quo Vadis. The cockerels in the neighborhood started their day early and noisily but apart from that it was quiet and pleasant.

I must say that this is close to the dock area for Moalboal activity center. If you're really in a tight schedule and wish to be somewhere near the activity center of Moalboal this is a place to be. The activity center is like 10min. walk (brisk walking) They serve breakfast at 7:00 am to 10:00 am. The room has: - hot and cold shower - hygiene utilities - towel but...

Overall, the place is good for short stay in Moalboal. It is adjacent to another resort and point of entry is through the back or near the beach itself. Clean room. AC is old and not that cool enough but fan is available. No wi-fi but near restaurants and diving tours in the area if scuba diving is what you’re looking for in Moalboal.

The resort have exceeded my expectations. It was indeed cozy considering that there are only 5 rooms, its like having your own pool, resto and beach front. The rooms were clean, the utensils were already washed unlike most resorts, the fridge was clean and everything inside the room were functioning, freshly washed and ready for use. I love the veranda and the hammocks...

Very cozy place to set up for a week, outdoor kitchen and patio is great. Hot showers, tv with multiple channels. Very quiet, strong WiFi, Friendly staff, walking distance to town. Also recommend the taco spot right around the corner for cheap quality food compared to in town.
Cheap places to stay in Moalboal

I had room nr 7 (queen bed , air conditioning and private bathroom pros : basically new place, everything working great water pressure and heater great large , clean room and bathroom very nice owner and staff scooter rental , snorkeling rental water and some drinks on site to buy quiet air conditioning good lighting big , good breakfast great WiFi close to bea...

We booked for 4 nights here with 5 dives included. Be advised that *after* the diving, they ask you to pay for equipment and the reef fee, which they say is not included in the price if you get a dive package. That made no sense to us, and told them we paid for the dives and it said nothing about paying extra. They accepted that, but be warned. The hotel has a main si...

The best thing about this place was the price, very cheap especially if there's 4 of you in a room. I obviously understand, you get what you pay for but I feel some things should be mentioned prior to arrival. 1. The property is cash only despite what Agoda says. This screwed us over and left us short of money until we got to Cebu City. (HSBC atm in Cebu City gives yo...

lovely huts in the beautiful jungle of Moalboal. Close to the beach and a perfect base to organise your trips such as Canyoneering, Snorkeling with whalesharks. Hot Springs, Diving & snorkeling with sardines and turtles and many more! And of course, do undertake the archery course, it is sooo much fun! The hilarious owner Frank and his lovely staff will take the best c...

We booked for one night and we ended up staying for a week. John and Kath are very nice, helpful and understanding. They have a lot of suggestions and tips for your stay in Moalboal and surrounding. The room is very spacious and clean and is a ten minutes scooter ride from the center of town. You can rent a scooter from them that is in perfect conditions (if you t...

The hotel is many times much nicer than the picture in agoda. You can also upgrade to aircon room with minimum amount. The room is spacious, clean and the restaurant is good. Location is strategic. For the price we paid, this hotel has exceeded our expectation by a lot. Other hotel in moalboal that we stay put nice pictures in agoda but bad service and small room and p...

The couple who owned the place were extremely friendly and helpful. The place was spotless and cosy. Gates on the front so you felt safer. You need a bike to get around as quite out of the way of the main beach area, but the couple had one waiting for us when we got there. Good hot shower and WiFi also. Would definitely recommend.

Located in the center of the dive and restaurant area. Hotel restaurant has great food at reasonable prices. Prices are about the same and sometimes cheaper than outside restaurants. The hotel staff are friendly, courteous, and super nice. From check in to check out and every thing in between, the staff made it a wonderful stay. The pool is clean and nice. Free ...

Staff is very friendly and helpfull, room is ok, bathroom is fine with hot water and all is clean. Only downside is the school next to it, which starts at around 7:30 with a song to collect the kids. It's a 10 minute walk to the beach which was fine, even at night.

Moalboal T Breeze is affordable paradise for everyone, whether you need stay on the cheap in a native-style cottage or prefer air conditioning for a bit more comfort during the summer. We stayed in the best accommodation - the Boat Cottage. It is a separate structure that has beautiful wooden double doors that lead to a lovely covered patio that is facing the beach. ...

Even if this is the 'cheaper version of the 5-star resort you still get a much better experience than in most of the Moalboal resorts. Very clean rooms, simple, enough for a few days, staff friendly and they have quite a good restaurant which belongs to the hotel. Location is great, quieter than on the main street and is just a few min. to the beach.

I decided to stay at Moalboal after canyoneering and booked at Pescadores. Last minute booking but I was able to get a super discounted rate in Agoda. When I called them to ask about traveling to and from the hotel, I was amazed with how helpful Christina was. I had a good feeling that I will really like the place. When I arrived from canyoneering, I was surprised that...

It is a hotel with a pool, but not in the same building. You will have to walk 2 minutes to get to the restaurant and that's where the pool is. It is quite cheap for a hotel with a swimming pool to enjoy :) The breakfast was just okay... Haven't tried their other food from their restaurant because we ate out. There are other restaurants and cafeteria around this resort...

Room ok-ish, resto service bad The room/hotel is actually nice (maybe a bit pricy) - beside a moldy sheet of paper in the bathroom about "no paper in the toilet" which needs to be replaced, please; no instructions how to use the Internet or the hot shower (had to ask) and an explanation that the price for the minibar is on a list on top of the minibar, but it was not ...

It's maybe the best, clean and modern house in Moalboal. Location is good and it's near the sea without the sea view. And it's under construction so that It could be a mature Club for elite customers in the future. By the way, the quality is very nice and it's extremely quiet because of a big private area.

The host clearly needs to be taught what good customer service is. The accommodation that they offer doesnt even meet minimum hotel requirements. Agoda should remove this accommodation from their listing. The host was plainly rude. She asked us to use the public cr in moalboal so we can check out early. She didnt even dare to offer a late check out. She pressured us t...
