We recently stayed for 6 nights. We booked a nest suite but we were upgraded to a lagoon nest suite on arrival. Staying in a lagoon suite made our holiday so much nicer. We could have a quick dip whenever we wanted, especially just before bed. The nest sites also looked lovely, but having the pool at our backdoor was wonderful. The gardens, decor, artwork and setting was so beautiful. Staff were exceptional. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, along with the simple afternoon tea. It would have been nice to have had the cakes from breakfast offered for afternoon tea as they looked delicious but not something I'd eat in the morning. We enjoyed 1/2 price drinks from 5-7pm each night, it was such a comfortable relaxed setting. We found the location to be very central and walked to most restaurants and shops. This is a chilled out holiday resort. Thank you for such a wonderful trip away.

Having stayed at so many different class of hotels & resorts in Bali from North to South, from 3 stas to 5 stars, Maya Sanur is simply Over priced & over rated. Service inconsistent frm various departments. Spa is so-so. Restaurants staff at breakfast can be more sincere and geniune, while some seems need interpersonal skills training. They are desperate to please, great you at every corner and become unreal. Some talk non stop to us at our table, shifting every single small plates, cups etc that we had finished, quite disturbing, cant have a peaceful dining moment. Pool over crowded, no sun deck chairs always full, in the end we didnt use the pool. Resort is sparkling clean.. Room not as nice as seen in hotel website. While sitting at the nest room balcony reading one day, I saw a local guy who is sitting on a tall ladder, looking and peep over at me while drilling wall at the next door balcony, i was in shock with the on-going drilling, which he continue despite giving him an ugly look, it was very very disturbing. You called this Maya Sanur Resort and Spa a 5 star hotel? Definitely not returning !

Relaxing vacation in upscale location”
Sanur has been a great location for relaxing vacation. It is in proximity with good dining places and small shopping. The resort is connected to the beach that make it convenient for morning walk , easy biking (hotel provided complimentary bicycle rental), and even water sport ( there is rental company nearby on the beach for jet ski, kayak, and other). The hotel room is spacious with warm and modern design, very comfortable. However, my room has moisture problem, even with dehumidifier the air still moldy. Fortunately, the other room where my family stay was fine. The staff has been very attentive in cleaning & providing drinking water. The main swimming pool is nice and relaxing, however it can be crowded since the lagoon pool is reserved for lagoon room guest. The hotel offered yoga class and great spa menu. Overall, we really enjoyed our relaxing stay.

Wonderful hotel in an amazing location ”
I’m glad that your trip to Bali started in Maya Sanur. I think it’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever been, and I traveled a lot. The warmth and kindness of personnel, the attention that every customer gets it’s just amazing. We travelled with two small kids, and they had an amazing time in the club every morning. However we had to accompany them, but the aunties of the club were very sweet and caring. It would be great if the club would be open until at least early dinner, but it closes at 1 pm. Food in the restaurant was delicious, excellent breakfast will all you wish and beyond. Pool area not so big, but it didn’t feel too crowded. Me and my daughter took a cooking class from the hotel chef and we had lots of fun and were happy to be in the company of this wonderful people and learned few local dishes. We also loved the vibes of Sanur and the area itself is very cosy, with many good restaurants outside, promenade along the sea and beautiful views. I would love to return back and will definitely stay in Maya Sanur again.

My family of 3 stayed in the impressive nest suite room and the bed is huge! My child is 9yo but still have plenty of space in between us. Love the hotel vibes and the room is absolutely nice and clean. Staffs are all friendly and helpful too, the breakfast spread are good with many choices, especially love their bakes! The swimming pool overlooks the sanur beach and we can just sit and relax while enjoying the view. Indeed a 5 star experience and would definitely recommend families with kids to come! Very satisfied and happy with our stay at Maya!
