I thought we were in a "wrong turn" movie. It was quite traumatic. ”

There was no security in the place & no intuitive signage. We arrived in the evening & it took around 30 minutes before someone showed up. We were walking around the property & no one seems to be running it. Finally someone must have woken up from the noise if our car. This kind man showed us to our rooms. The rooms in the picture were total misinrepresentation on the real thing. The toilet was horrible. The hot water was not working. It was dirty & it flooded. There was nowhere to hang your clothes. The towels were super thin like a rag you won't even clean your car with. It looked like a rundown place & the owner forgot about "maintenance" & customer service. A pity because the rustic nature of the place was really good but the facilities esp accommodations were really bad. Maybe they should repackage for fishing only since they had areas for fishing. Beyond that, it is a place I will not recommend. Waste of money.

Fishing Place but Not For Family Refreshment”

Booked two (2) Deluxe Rooms - the actual condition of the rooms are far from the photos as advertised....old dingy room, old forsaken furnitures, non-functional old tv, no toilet room exhaust fan, stingky poor toilet, busted lights...busted door locks on the veranda (do not leave your valuables inside the room...just be extra careful)... Fishing rate are way too expensive - P300 per person with limited fishing time of 7am-6pm (according to the very nice lady who accomodated us).. you have to pay for the fish you catch (so expensive at 200 php./kg)... We travelled from Manila more than 3 hours to reach the location but were very dissappointed to see the general condition of the facilities...poor road condition from entrance to hotel lobby until exit...below par hotel condition...two (2) swimming pool with not enough water...seems its been months that somebody last used the pools...basketball court should have atleast a net around it otherwise your ball will fall in the lagoon.. The canteen/resto does not offer much...no dessert available... The staff are accomodating & friendly though still they need to improved a lot..far far from a real "hotellier" service... Lastly...no debit/credit cards can be used...cash basis only.. lucky us we brought a few cash otherwise you have to travel back down to the city town proper hoping for an atm machine somewhere.. Hope they do make a major renovation...for sure they will attract more visitors in the future..

Needs major remodelling”

Run down hotel. Requested a Premium room with two queen size beds but we were given a room with one queen size bed and two folding beds (that kept falling down when sat on) with sagging mattresses. Two single linen bedsheets covers the queen bed. CR has white ants in the wooden door jamb. NO water on the slide, pool was full of dark green, slimy, murky water. Area was overgrown with tall grass. Restaurant hardly had anything available in their menu. Fishing too expensive; P500 for fishing rod rental and P300 per person. You have to pay for the fish you catch. Waste of time and money unless whole place is remoceled...

Nice staff poor facilities”

Casitas were dirty and it has a hallow wall where insects and small animals can hide. We saw frogs inside the casita and even snake skin!!!! So we transfered to the hotel. The hotel room smells horribly bad. Beddings and pillows are disgusting!! The resort price is not worth the stay.

Rustic but needs better maintenance”

The countryside location, the lake and view, fishing

The food is fine. The staff courteous and gives good service. The countryside environment is nice with the lake and all. But the main hotel building need general thorough cleaning and has to be refurbished. The toilet ceiling has lots of black spots, mildew (hazardous, specially for those with asthma). The sheets and blankets are old. The room looks old. It's definitely not a 3 star hotel.

High potential but poorly operated and maintained”

Accessible from the main highway, quite and not crowded, polite staff

The ad description indicates a pool, but it was not functional, much less a nice sight. On the first day, practically none of the food in the menu were available. The casitas were poorly designed and maintained. We still had to ask the staff to clean the room and electric fan which was all grimy. The windows needed to be closed all the time because there was no screen to keep insects out. What a pity for place where one is supposed to enjoy the cool wind. The lighting inside the casitas and in the walkways was poor. The rent for fishing rod at P500(plus additional payment for the bait of P50), the P200 per kilo charge for cooking fish catch, and the P280 fee for 30-minute use of the paddle boat are just too expensive, particularly in comparison to other better resorts. The politeness of the staff and simple natural setting of the resort just about made the stay nice enough and bearable. Thankfully the place was not crowded and noisy even though there were several groups staying. If better maintained, operated and designed, the place could be a more enjoyable, comfortable and worth spending more for.

Not so OK Hotel”

Food, Nature, Room (?)

It's a nice place to relax but I woke up at around 2AM because ants are in our bed. Staff are not that helpful especially Rhea who is stationed in the frontdesk. I advised Rhea that the door can be opened from the outside but she did not do anything. You can do fishing activities but it's a little bit expensive (for me). You need a car to be able to get to the hotel. Thank you.
