Stayed for 3 nights here and I really enjoyed it. The dorm is big with 4 bunk beds and the shared-bathrom is clean! The room is cleaned daily. AC must be off at 9 AM and they turn it on at 9 PM. Breakfast was nice; fruits and pancakes. Since I don't really like fruits, they gave me extra pancakes! Superb wasn't it? 😁 The staffs are helpful and the owner, Pak Putu is extremely friendly. Pretty social hostel. One thing that bothered me was the WiFi didn't work well. At the lobby, it was fine. But when you go upstairs, unable to connect. Nyuh Kuning Village is definately my favorite area in Ubud so far. And I'd love to stay in Lagas Hostel next time around.

Perfect Hostel”
Lagas hostel is the best hostel I stayed in. Its so cheap but this doesn’t mean cheap quality believe me. Everything is clean. The food is great. The beds are comfy. Its a short walk into Ubud. Theres a really nice swimming pool. Free tea, coffee, water and breakfast. Theres plenty of places to socialise, downstairs and on the balcony upstairs. The staff are really friendly and helpful and can sort out anything you need. If it was twice the price I would still stay here.

Exceptional Family Experience”
Absolutely love spending time at Lagas Hostel, in my opinion it is the best place to stay. We used it as a base while traveling around Bali, loved spending time with the family and staff that run the hostel. I highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to Bali, Putu is a fantastic guide who showed us all of the places we wanted to see and became a really great friend of ours. We went to Bali knowing it would be a fantastic experience but we never expected to leave feeling a part of their family.

Best Ever Hostel Experience”
Lagas hostel is the perfect place if you`re looking for budget accommodation in the centre of Ubud. The rooms & bathrooms are clean, the food is amazing, THERE`S A POOL, the owner Wayan and all the staff members are super nice & helpful, and the location is asically 5-10 minutes away from the centre of Ubud. Highly recommend!!

Our first greeting was that lagas was to be our home away from home, and oh my god it was. We stayed for a week, having become close friends with the staff (“good day” is my Balinese brother!), and spent many beautiful days with him, as he took us around ubud, and even to visit his family in northern Bali! Be sure to take time to meet him! He was the best part of our trip. As for the building, it’s really clean, the breakfast is great, amazing vibe, and the pool is luxurious!! Stay here, you won’t regret it!

Best Place In Ubud, Bali! ”
I first arrived at the hostel late at night after a long flight. The reception was so friendly even at 23:30 at night! As they showed me my room, i met a English bloke playing a guitar. Everyone in the hostel became instant friends and it didn't take long before we became friends with the staff as well. Gede who works there, is one of the friendliest people i have ever met and he will help you with anything you need. The rooms were cleaned daily and the wifi worked really well. The swimming pool was amazing as well. I have so many good memories of my stay here and i've made a lot of good friends. The owner is often at the hostel and always greats everybody and asks them how they're doing. The breakfast was really nice and the location was perfect! We rented motorcycles and explored so many places. There are supermarkets close by which was very convenient. If you're looking for a place to stay in Ubud, this is hands down the best place to stay!

Great hostel!!!”
The building itself was very cool, and had lots of places to chill, they also have a pool and a restaurant with yummy and cheap food. The highlight though are the staff. Everyone here is lovely and treated us like family. Especially Our friend Gede who welcomed us and showed us around Bali. They also have a good free breakfast. Could not recommend this place more, if I’m ever in Bali again I will definitely come back to Lagas:)

It was my first time travelling solo and overseas. I'm happy and thankful for choosing lagas. It was smooth and secure. I met lots of other people who stayed here. I'll definitely go back to bali and stay in this hostel again.

The stay at the Lagas Hostel was really nice and especially the owner was awesome. The only thing that I missed a bit is that the hostel isn’t that social. But that’s not the owners fault. Other then that I’d come here again!

Best hostel in Ubud!”
Pros include an awesome pool, decent breakfast with a restaurant for lunch and dinner, comfy beds, clean bathroom, pool area, rooms and common space, and amazing staff. There are lots of little places nearby to walk to, but to get into town you do have to have a motorbike. The upside to being a little bit out of town is that the grab and gojek drivers will pick you up from the hostel and take you wherever, however they will not pick you back up from in town as it's not safe for them. I truly can't think of any cons here. The one thing that stood out for me was that the owner personally knows a great local tattoo artist who makes personal trips to the hostel to meet you, draw your tattoo, And put it on your body! Eka Tattoo is the name and you can check out his work on instagram at ekapacoel_tattoo . He comes to the hostel with all his equipment and his friend who speaks English really well to help translate. Highly recommend!!!!

This hostel is incredible. The staff and owner are super lovely and make you feel home. They also have a nice pool, hammocks, guitars and good free breakfast. The location is out of the stressful tourist centre of Ubud in a scenic part of town still surrounded by restaurants. I originally booked 2 nights but extended 4 times.

It was an awesome to stay in Lagas hostel!”
I stayed 4 nights even I extended 1 more night! The hostel is a bit far away from main centre in Ubud, but you would be okay with scooter or bicycle. I can not drive scooter so I have hired a bicycle. The owner is very nice and friendly. The staff members are helpful. There is a small restaurant so you can order food from there. Especially I never forget "soto ayam" It was absolutely amazing!! Swimming pool is well managed as well. I highly recommend this hostel!

cheap, good location, great people ”
I'd say, Ubud was the best location I've visited around Bali. It's easy to go to places. Its the perfect selection for a cheap+pool+free breakfast option. I stayed for 4days, and I like the fact that they change bed sheets and collects trash everyday at 11am. They have cheaper bike rent too and the breakfast is really really good!

The best option to take! Están the owner is a sweetheart, the took us to a Balinese healer which was so interesting!..... the hostal is so clean and beautiful! The pool is great after a hot day! And everyone is in love with the pancakes that they offer for free at breakfast! So far the best option in Ubud! I stud there one month! Totally recommend it!

This Hostel is amazing! owner and staff are very helpfull and friendly. The place is clean. Bathrooms are really nice and hotshower with good pressure is definitely a plus. Sheets are changed everyday. They have a menu with both meat and vegetarian options (40k IDR for a good meal + fruit juice). There is a pool with lights and an artificial waterfall (another plus for the place). Tourist services and motorbikes can be hired in the place. In summary, very nice clean hostel with good working facilities and a Great staff. Definetely recommended.

Best Hostel Experience Ever”
Best budget accommodation option in the centre of Ubud! The rooms and bathrooms are clean, the food is great, THERE`S A POOL, the owner Wayan and all the staff members are super nice & helpful and everything in Ubud is max a 15 mins walk away! Highly recommend!!
