"This hotel is fantastic if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta and other busy areas. Its close to the Airport with Lippo Mall a 5 min walk away. If you catch the Kura Kura Loop Bus Aston Kuta Hotel is just around the corner as a pick up location (as well as Lippo Mall) The rooms are massive as well as the beds and bathroom and its all really clean and new. The Staff were awesome, super friendly and always smiling and helpful. The buffet breakfast is on L4 with great good and views overlooking the ocean with a cool breeze. The pool is just as good on L5 with even better views. Could not fault this hotel at all, frequent traveller to Bali but first time staying at Sulis and this location but will stay here again for sure."

"The Manggar is my absolute fave go-to place to stay when in Denpasar. Right on the edge of Kuta, in a very quiet street off the main drag. Turn left to join the throng or walk to the beach, or turn right to find local warungs, apoteks, groceries, fruiters and the best sate kambing & ayam on the island. Combine this with free airport transfers despite an incredibly low price, the friendliest staff in an island renowned for friendly people, a great pool and frangipani garden, great aircon, drying racks on your private balcony & international TV & DD telephone, I will be back again - and soon! Shout out to my dear friend Herman, who went out of his way to assist, such a beautifully kind man. Recommended wholeheartedly. "

"We stayed 3 nights in ubud, 3 nights in Seminyak and our flight was at 23:10 and so I booked this hotel for transit of 7 hrs by checking in at 14:00. It Is extremely close to airport less than a km. Room Is very clean and has hair blower, safe box, shampoo, soap, body gel, brush, paste for 1 person, water bottle, towels. Hotel Has restaurant, spa, pool, gym as well. Provides Airport free shuttle service every 20 min. However, We didn't opt for it and went by walk to airport as we were running out of time. Welcome Drink was good and unlimited it seems. Wish They have provided bathroom items for 2 persons. Maybe They would have if i had asked. Anyhow, we had things packed. By The way this hotel is in tuban, kuta and Seminyak. We Stayed in tuban as it was the closest to airport. Great Bed. Has tv too in room. Electronic Key is awesome. Definitely Would book the same hotel for transit if needed next time. "

"i brought my parents for a 4d3n trip to bali for the first time and been looking for a suitable hotel and this was a last minute trip so i actually booked this hotel a day before arriving after going through several selection of hotels. kuta paradiso hotel is amazingly located at the most strategic location nearby kuta square and lots of eating outlets stone throw away. though the poolview indicates that you are able to see the beach, but in reality the scenery of the beach is well blocked by tall trees, so if you're getting deluxe poolview, expect just the poolview and nothing more. nevertheless, it is just by the beach, you can access to the beach through a side exit of the hotel (as you walk out of the lobby, immediately turn left to an area that looks like parking lot and you will find an exit). hotel has full facility, staffs from reception to bellboy to waiter/waitress were all very warm and welcoming, kudos for the very polite culture! the room is up to my expectation as what i would get of a deluxe room, and that comes with free buffet breakfast which has reasonable selection of american/local breakfast...the potato hashbrown simply the best! exit from the hotel, you will walk through kuta square and reaching a t-junction you may decide to turn left towards the road along kuta beach, or turn right to access to other roads namely legian street. you will get familiar on the first day itself so enjoy ;)"

"To be honest, we were concerned about other guests feedback on this hotel after we had booked but found that there was no real need to worry. We were pleasantly surprised with how good our stay was. The hotel itself is not 5 star and yes, the hotel may be a little bit worse for wear cosmetically but don’t be put off by the dated décor of this hotel as it is full of Balinese charm and just adds to the appeal of a place that reflects where you are. The rooms are a good size, clean, comfortable and very private. The gardens are magnificently maintained and are an oasis of calm and tranquillity from the hustle and bustle of busy Kuta. The hotel is conveniently located across the road from Kuta beach which is perfect for a day’s fun or relaxation or the ideal spot to finish off the day with a spectacular Balinese sunset. Shopping and many restaurants are all within easy walking distance however cheap transport is readily available. Free shuttle buses are provided to one of the major shopping centres and on site drivers are happy to negotiate a price for day trips to wherever you would like to go. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble as they went the extra mile in all areas to ensure our holiday was relaxing. The buffet breakfast is plentiful with a good variety of hot or cold choices and the relaxed restaurant overlooks Kuta beach. You are not hurried along and you can sit and eat for as long or as much as you like. Friendly staff are on hand to whip up an omelette or a stack of pancakes any way you like them. Many free activates where an unexpected bonus providing an insight into Bali from those who live there. These included an Indonesian language class, surfing lessons and a cooking lesson tied up with a trip to the markets to buy and bargain for ingredients with our new found language skills. End result was always much fun and laughter for all as well as showing the fun nature of the Balinese people who work at the hotel."

"We arrived at Alam Kulkul after travelling to another 2 different locations. I really did keep the best accomodation till last. The loction on the edge of kuta/legion was perfect for us being a 10 minute walk either way to shops and markets. The staff could not of been better, helpful and informative in every way with very good knowledge of the english language. We booked a villa which was absolutely beautiful. The most comfortable bed we slept in on our travels around Bali. The bathroom was a plus for us with an outdoor shower over a huge sunken bath. The rooms were very clean and the grounds were beautiful. The breakfasts were great being a blend of western with a traditional Balinese breakfast being on offer which was delicious. It was great to be able to cross the road with the help of the security guards who stopped the traffic to be straight on the beach. We loved the location, quietness (except for the construction next door but did not really intrude)and the sunsets on the beach were terrific. Will definately stay again on our next trip to Bali."

"us : family of 4 (4yo & 5yo) when : easter 2012 weather : all reports stated it was going to be thunderstorms, but we didn't have a drop of rain. according to locals it had been raining (wet season) about a week before our arrival, and we had arrived at the "change" in seasons. hotel : first time to bali, and we were expecting to come back in the future so we booked into several hotels ranging from 1 night to 2 night stays over a period of 2 weeks. our primary choices were limited to hotels that would allow us to have 1 room for the 4 of us sleeping in 1 king bed, to try and save on costs, plus our kids sleep in our bed anyway. the other main driver for picking hotels were places with decent pools, as thats what our kids would enjoy most. hard rock; we picked this place for the pool (i wouldn't normally even consider "hard rock" as a place i would ever want to go to). very well presented, very clean. wservice at reception and food and beverage was what you would expect from a western hotel. we were given a “back room” which overlooked backblocks/settlement, requested a poolview upgrade which we were given which was nice if you like watching other rooms. beach view would obviously be the pick of the bunch, but didn’t feel like forking out another $200 for it. pool was excellent. plenty of daybeds for everyone. kids waterpark. 2 x kids slides. plenty of kids activities for a fee which we didn’t try. asking the kids after 3 hotels in kuta, they like this one the best for the pool of course. great location for buying all your dodgy souvineirs in kuta if that is your thing. 5 min walking distance to poppies laneways which is the mecca for all things tourist souvenir. food is very expensive relative to the other hotels we stayed at in kuta. standard western hotel rates, which you would hope for bali would be less. $15-20 burgers / $30-40 steaks. there is a pizza hut just outside hard rock, and mcdonalds a 2 minute walk up the road."

"No other hotel in Bali has better location then Inna Kuta Hotel. It's close to the famous Kuta Square (100 meters), the Legian St, where everything happens, and to the beach. There's no crossing street to go to the beach as the hotel is already "on" the beach. They gave me an upgrade as they didn't have the room I booked for. So, I spent 12 days in a Bungalow for the price of a superior room. Perhaps the only thing they have to improve is the breakfast. Although it was very sorted, many of the options were asian stuff, and as I'm not used to this kind of food I had some problems with it. But nothing that could spoil the image of the hotel. I strongly recommend Inna Kuta Beach!"

"Everything is very clean, the staff is very friendly and sooo helpful!!! The airport lost my suitcase and without the help of the help of the staff I would be still waiting for my suitcase! The pool is also very nice and clean and you have a nice view over Kuta. Kuta isn't the best city to stay but the hotel is doing there very best to make it as nice as possible! :)) We had a very nice time in the Primebiz Kuta Hotel! Thank you :)"

More about Kuta

The Kuta / Legian area is the undisputed champion of Bali tourism. It features beautiful beaches, a lively set of entertainment options and an undeniably exciting night scene. Hotels in Kuta / Legian once catered mainly for backpackers, but today Kuta and Legian have room to suit every brand of traveler.

Stretching five kilometers, Kuta Beach saw its first hint of tourism over 50 years ago. Before the 1960s, this was predominately a fishing village, but it has grown into a leading budget travel destination in Asia that has been especially successful with young Australians.

These days, Kuta is highly commercialized, thanks to Bali Kuta Galleria, two branches of Carrefour shopping complex (at Imam Bonjol and Sunset Road) and its own Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Café (featuring live music at Centerstage). Kuta’s practical facilities are just as thorough, including the Legian Clinic, Padma Hospital, Klinik SOS Medika (near the Dewa Ruci Statue) and the honorary consulates of Malaysia and Spain.

As soon as Kuta landed on the backpacker circuit, surfers started taking notice. Surf shops now line the beach, and beginners can sign up for cheap lessons. But the party scene is Kuta’s real attraction, with beach bars packed to the rafters at the height of the summer (July and August) and winter (December and January). Favorite places to stop for a few drinks include Kama Sutra, Musro Bali and Apache Bar.

Kuta also has a quieter side. Made’s Warung Kuta and Mama’s German Restaurant favor good food over party atmosphere, and there are plenty of high-end venues on hand. Maccaroni and Ma Joly are just a couple of these. The same goes for hotels in Kuta / Legian. Head up north from Kuta Beach toward Legian proper, and a quiet, more exclusive atmosphere sets in.
