Fantastic stay - will return!”
We loved our stay here for many reasons: 1. Staff were super helpful (helped us with our heavy luggages to and from the hilly location of our room; super easy arrangement of water sports too) 2. Seafront villa was perfect for us - cosy, balcony great for drying wet clothes, complimentary towels/water/toiletries, even had small fridge, linked our laptop to tv with our own hdmi cable too. Only downside is it wasn't the most sound proof (could hear our neighbour's baby crying). 3. Swimming pool was fantastic, super clean and accessible all day, beach towels provided. 4. Other facilities: Water sports were fantastic - we did the hammerhead one (strong grip strength required!) and stand up paddle board. not much to see but still a great experience! Also played a ton of table tennis. 5. Bar and lounge areas looked great to chill, as did the eating area, however we didn't try the food here at all as we chose to Grab outside for our meals. Will definitely return for our next holiday!
Great Place for 'healing' or couple retreat”
Altho the location is far from the malls but isn't that the purpose of going to a resort in the first place. I really enjoyed my 2 nights stay there. Here's my sharing. Nearest ferry terminal is Sekupang Ferry Terminal which is about 7-10 mins ride. You may liaise with the resort to arrange shuttle to fetch and send you back to Sekupang Ferry Terminal. If you are having trouble walking or climbing steps, do opt for a room with easier access for the buggy (Yes! They provide buggy service). I took the Seafront Villa which require us climbing steps but the view is great facing the beach and Singapore! We walked alot around the resort (a great exercise) just basking in the scenery and quietness. Our room faced the beach so it can get a little loud at night with the music playing at the bar/restaurant. But we love it as it makes us relive our younger days. We just lay on our bed, with our balcony room door open and enjoy the night music. The room floor need some maintenance tho as its creaking everytime we walked on it. It makes us cautious altho there is no room below us. The water pressure is good and there is a chiller so you can buy drinks and chill them. The room size is just nice for us. There's an Ombar Bar which serves Italian Food and Layang Restaurant which serve Indonesian food. Best to go during sunset as the view is just beyond words. You can also order food from Grab (you'll be spoilt for choices!) They have a good sized pool. I saw kids really enjoying themselves splashing around. They also have watersports and a zipline! If you are not into sports like me, just find a nice spot to take pictures or just strolling around the resort. We had breakfast in the restaurant (included with our booking) and altho they haven't had much variety, it's really enough to fill us up. Love their sambal. I ate it with almost everything! From rice to spaghetti, to even white toast bread. Just how much I love their sambal. We even played a few games of pool after breakfast (our kind of exercise lol) Getting around Batam was a breeze as you can now just Grab everywhere. Do note that you have to go to the designated online taxi pickup point if you are at the ferry terminal (if you are using Grab or other online taxi app). For other location, anywhere is fine. Just need to pin at the right location. We didn't do much during our stay except for massage (Reborn Grand Batam Mall) eat and shopping (mostly Indonesian's instant noodles and snacks). This trip is really to recharge and just enjoying each other's company (our 10th wedding anniversary) Oh yes, they decorate our room with a couple swan towel and a card (upon request - with no charge!) And lastly, the staffs were all friendly and their hospitality really makes us feel comfortable. I didn't get their names but I hope the management do recognizes their great work and commend them. From the time you set foot in the resort to the time you leave, everyone just leave a positive impact on my stay. Thank you
Beautiful Property with Perfect Views and the Friendliest Staff”
We stayed with KTM Resort for one night over a long weekend, and the people at this resort made our stay one of the most relaxing and stress-free we've ever had. The staff went above and beyond for us, were quick in their service and knowledgable. We were able to take the free shuttle from the Ferry Terminal to the Resort, and they checked us in to our room despite arriving much earlier than the stated check-in time of 3pm (we were willing to wait until 3, but it was nice that they were able to help us). The Resort itself is spacious and quiet with a lovely atmosphere. There are some activities that are free of charge like pool access and snorkelling in their little bay, or you can pay an additional fee to experience more extreme activities like a jetski tour, flying fox or climbing wall. If you choose to venture out past the swimming pool, I would advise caution as some of the outer regions of the property have fallen into disrepair. Many of the places of interest are also only accessible by stairs (and a lot of them), so if stairs are something you have trouble navigating, contact the Resort before you book. Our room was perfectly-sized for my husband and I, clean, comfortable and the ocean view from our balcony was incredible! The timber finishings are a nice touch and add to the tropical vibe. The wifi signal was strong almost everywhere on the property and the tv broadcasts the local television stations. The in-house restaurant and bar are wonderful and the staff are always friendly and willing to help. We ate lunch under the shade of the shelter during the day, and then spent the night out near the water in their outdoor seating area. The staff played several movies during dinner (although they were thrillers, so I would have preferred perhaps some music instead. We also ordered a desert pizza from room-service. All their food is wonderful (my personal favorite was the Ayam Bakar) but be expected to pay resort price. Thank you to everyone at KTM for making our stay wonderful. We will be back, and we will be staying longer!
