Nice Hotel. Nice location ”
There was no electricity until four hours after my I arrival. I was asked to wait until someone could come and check me in, but was never told when that person arrived. Still, it’s a nice hotel and in an excellent location.

Great price and Location”
The hotel was great, overall the price was fair. Good location, the room was big, beds comfortable , very clean, nice pool. Location was nice, is close to the Souvenirs market, to parks and restaurants. The restaurant/bar from the hotel closed early but you can get food using uber eats.

Family Room is Excellent Find”
KC Hotel has this great little apartment style two bedroom which was great for me and my colleague. It has a fridge, Steve, sun, microwave and the two bedrooms have their private access, yet share the common areas. Loved it!

KC Hotel is a very acceptable value ”
The best thing about the KC Hotel is always the staff. They are all friendly, kind, and they always accommodate any needs or requests that we have when we stay there. This Hotel can be quite basic but does provide everything we need at a great price. My husband and I usually book this hotel when we have errands and business in San Jose. We are not luxury travelers, nor are we "boutique hotel" travelers. We usually want a nice clean quiet room at an affordable price. We always try to stay in hotels where breakfast is provided, and when we are driving around Costa Rica in our car, we also always look for parking. The KC Hotel provides everything we need. The rooms are adequate, a nice breakfast is provided, and there is adequate secure parking. Again, any time we have any extra requests, the staff go out of their way to assist us.

Everyone was kind and helpful when I came to them with questions or requests. The breakfast options were limited and repetitive, but I understand that with the on-going pandemic it's harder to keep a wide variety. The hotel was clean and conveniently located, with a park nearby and several food options. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel with friendly staff”
Good hotel-Not great, but with a great staff of friendly people. The accomodations were simple and clean and we ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the pool. The bartender was great. I wish I remembered his name but he was a great person of tremendous cheer. For my purposes, I will stay again when I am in San Jose, which is frequently.

Staff was excellent, service was great, breakfast buffet was okay. They need to remodel the front wing. On a true Michelin 5 point scale; I'd give the place a 1.75 for the room we had in the front wing. I'd give it a 3.0 based on the room in the back wing they provided after we changed rooms. The A/C wasn't effective or I'd give it a 3.2. The cleaning staff appeared to work hard but their processes would fail a white glove test. It stayed at 3.0 because there was a ceiling fan. The price made it a recommend with the caveats listed above. There was a good restaurant called The Princess Marina across from the SW end of the nearby park that is an easy walk and was reasonably priced with good food.

Noisy disrespectful cleaning staff with their loud radios in the hallways have no respect for the guests. a Group of guests were sitting and loudly partying during the night in the hallways, again, nothing was done about it. The restaurant manager was also not very much in the mood to find some brown sugar for my coffee at breakfast. I stayed for a week, too much to ask. The manager could, not find my booking every time I extended my stay and he becomes abrupt as if it's my fault even though I gave him all the proof including Agoda numbers etc... I won't be back, Thank you.

Thank goodness they upgraded me. ”
The first room I was in had a poor air conditioning unit and the wing was seemingly an older section of the hotel. The front desk upgraded me to a newly renovated section of the hotel, which very nice. The food was fairly good in the restaurant. All employees in the entire facility were kind and accommodating as well. The neighborhood has quite a few shops and a few restaurants all within walking distance. The restaurant called "Spoon" has delicious food. I would stay at this hotel again.
