The location was perfect — conveniently near a shopping mall with easy access to food. There was even a fair going on, so we had plenty of food options! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to use the spa facilities as it was around the Hari Raya period and they were unavailable. In terms of cleanliness, I did notice visible stains on the bedsheet, but I didn’t raise a complaint since I was just looking to rest. I really loved the breakfast though — there was a great variety, and I got to enjoy everything I wanted. Plus, the chef was incredibly friendly! Even though I received a room upgrade, the shower was clogged and water didn’t drain properly. I was quite worried my mum might slip. It seems to be a structural issue, so there wasn’t much the team could do about it. That said, I still had a pleasant stay and would definitely consider staying at this hotel again in the future!
In the deluxe room, there is no refrigerator/cooler. If there were, it would definitely be more comfortable. Usually, kids like the swimming pool. Who knows, in the future, a swimming pool with an ocean concept would be nice, it seems.

“Doesn't meet expectations ”
Karibia Boutique Hotel presents itself as a four-star property — clean, modern, and centrally located. I expected a restful stay with the basics in place: peace, quiet, and a hot shower. Unfortunately, those expectations weren’t met. While the room was clean and well-designed, it was, in fact, smaller than what was stated on the booking. The listing said 23 square meters, but my room was clearly not that size. The bed was hard, and the shower never got truly hot at any point during my stay. I reported the issue, and the manager said he would “try” to improve the situation, but there was no change. A different room was offered, but it also had the same problem, and moving mid-stay wasn’t practical. Housekeeping noise started like clockwork at 7 a.m. every day. Staff were loudly chatting, laughing, calling out to one another, pushing carts, and using walkie-talkies at full volume. The hallways are narrow, and sound carries easily — you’ll hear every door opening and closing on your floor. I raised the issue several times, and while the manager was polite, I was told they couldn’t guarantee quiet even from their own staff. On my final night, although housekeeping had quieted down, I still couldn’t sleep. The walls are paper-thin — I heard every word from the guests next door talking, along with their TV, at 2 a.m., 3 a.m., and 5 a.m. Other practical issues: There are no international power outlets in the room — so if you're coming from abroad, bring your own adapter. Also, the breakfast buffet is entirely local. While there were some fruits and cornflakes, most items catered only to Indonesian tastes. If you're expecting a standard international spread, you won’t find it here. Karibia has visual appeal, and the location is good — but much of your experience here may come down to luck. You might have a quiet, restful stay — or you might not. Also, i got a stomach ache after breakfast... i believe it was the milk. Im still recovering. At Karibia, it seems the room comes with a roll of the dice.
