Where to stay in Izu
Izu hotels & accommodations
Nestled in a near-abandoned town 250km, away from the hustle and bustle of the Tokyo Megalopolis, in the thick of Japans Volcanic regions, is the sweetest spot of peace and tranquil abundance. Where Cranes swoop through the Rivers, and deers hop across the highways of the IzuSkyline. Arcana Izu is a divine and rare find. Created by the Owners and energized by the dedi...
We booked the Japanese style room with in-room hot spring. Before check in I thought it was quite expensive. But the good facilities, fantastic services and great Japanese food proved me wrong. If you get off at Shuzenji station, you can take a bus for Yoshina Onsen Guchi stop. Please do contact the hotel staff in advance for pick up at Yoshina Onsen Guchi stop. ...
Pleasant stay though a bit pricey... Surrounding is a ghost town with very few attractions... But would recommend for the traditional feeling of the hotel. Food is great, Onsen is very relaxing near the river.
We stayed 2 nights in Toi Ouzen, the room is quite nice and spacious, separate areas for bath and toilet, we also had open air bath. The Kaiseki cuisine is also a plus. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
It took 45 mins of bus travelling time to get there, but it’s worth. The hotel is located almost at mountain peak, can see the Fuji mountain. A lot of facilities include tennis counts - tennis rackets are available as well. The hot spring rooms are at the top floor, allows customers to look at the Fuji mountain, very romantic, and relaxing. I visit the hot spring in ...
We really enjoyed our stay at the Traditional Onsen Ryokan Izu Yugashima Shirakabeso. The garden was beautiful and the Onsen was nice and warm. We would recommend this to anyone thinking of going.
It was only an overnight stopover for me on my bicycle trip around the izu peninsular. I did not venture outside the hotel, and I did not use the spa facilities, so I can offer a good opinion (hence 3 stars from me: perhaps they deserve a higher mark). The evening buffet was huge; so many choices, so much fantastic seafood, and all of it delicious. Certainly that was t...
The Onsen was nice, however it was really difficult to find as the area gets dark at night, and the address listed is wrong.. Room was really big so that's a plus for the value. They had a nice outdoor bath but as it was summer, there were many insects.
Beautiful private onsen (4 types) for couples or families and the service was very excellent! Staff went out of the way to make our stay perfect. The futons were also super comfortable and thicker than usual. By far one the best ryokans we stayed at!
Nice sea view but Onsen was small
Great location. Near some local attractions. Room were good size. Hotel is older but in good condition. Staff were very friendly. Some english spoken. Have indoor and outdoor onsen very nice. Would stay again if in the area.
A little bit far from the city but the environment is nice. Most of the staff does not know English
- Food is truly superb, esp the sashimi plate and barbecued abalone. Basically the best Japanese food I have ever had in my lifetime. - Location-wise, not too convenient for travellers and would take one hour of bus ride from the nearest railway station 修善寺駅. But the hotel would arrange for transportation to and from the nearest bus station. - Super-friend staff and ex...
This was a unique way to immerse ourselves in Japanese cult. We were the only foreigners staying at this ryokan and although the staff spoke very limited English they did their best to communicate with us. They made us feel at home and fed us very well, which was a big challenge since I am vegan. However they did their best to adjust the menu for me and I really apprec...
