International Drive - Convention Center hotels & places to stay

It was just a short weekend for the bridal party celebrating before the big wedding day. We had a 10 min drive to International Drive which was great! The views of the lake were great. The room was more than we imagined and the Bride to Be LOVED her soaker hot tub. The room service was great and surprisingly, even though our room was in the back end of the resort, the food was still hot and fresh. Minimal downsides. Our pool bar never opened but we took the resort shuttle to another location on the property. We wanted to utilize the Spa but the complementary use is only if purchasing spa services which wasn't made very clear when registering and paying the additional resort fee. Overall, Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa was a hit for our Bridal group of 5. We plan to go back for birthdays and just because! 9.5 across the board

Amazing!!!! I loved every part about it. I stayed there for a weekend for a conference and it was such a pretty hotel. I'm sad it didn't have an airport shuttle (you would think a hotel like this would) because taxis from the airport to this hotel are expensive. I loved the pool and slide. I didn't get a chance to go in them because I was in meetings all weekend, but it looked very pretty and refreshing. The lobby is clean, and it's great that the hotel is connected to the conference center and orange county convention centers. Super convenient location for a large conference!

The location's great! Love the fact that we get free transportation with the i-Trolley to travel along International Drive. This is our second International Drive hotel, the first one, Econo Lodge, International Drive pales in comparison to this one, go for Hampton Inn and Suites for better value for money and faster service! We checked into the hotel with no hassle, the friendly staff let us into our room which was ready, much earlier than the designated check-in time! Check-out was hassle free too! One con is that there isn't any bell service but you can borrow a luggage trolley/cart up to your room. We had six luggages and they can all fit into the luggage trolley with no problem. Breakfast was fun where you get to pour the mix and make your own pancake. Quite a spread of choices at the buffet too. We were only there for one night so nothing much to complain about the food! Not sure if they have variety for a whole week or not.

The Comfort Inn and Suites Convention Center was centrally located - we walked to restaurants and attractions (Titanic Exhibition). The inn also has a shuttle service to Disney parks and Universal (we did not use). Breakfast had a good selection of pastries, eggs, cereals and bacon and sausage. My kids liked the fact that they could make their own waffles (choice between plain and blueberry). The inn offered guest laundry services and gladly provided change for the machines. Negatives: The area serving breakfast was small and cramped around 8-9am as the inn was full or nearly so during our stay. We booked a room for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). We were given a room on the ground floor (wonderful!) fitted with a sleeper couch. Unfortunately, the sleeper couch was not made and only three bath towels supplied. We had to set up the sleeper couch ourselves and make the bed. I had to ask for extra bedding and towels, which was promptly brought to the room.

It isn't fancy but a great value. The location is awesome just down the street from Universal Studios and 25 minutes from Disney. As with all hotels close to attractions it had some wear and tear but it was very clean. It was great that I was able buy park passes right there in the lobby. I will definitely stay at this hotel every time we visit the theme parks in Florida.

The rooms were very clean and every morning the staff was cleaning the outside of the property... wiping down doors and windows, mopping hallways, sweeping the pool area. It was very clean. The pool was a great size and the water temp was perfect. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were adequate size. The breakfast was great also! There is only 1 shuttle to Universal at 7:35am and the return shuttle was at 6:55pm. If you want to stay for the later things... parade or fireworks or water show, you need to either drive or Uber back to the room. The location was great! Right off International Drive and right across from several restaurants within walking distance and also a short walk from the CityWalk.

The hotel was mainly used as a base for access to Disney, and the surrounding attractions for us. There are currently some works ongoing adjacent to the pool area which cause some disturbance if you are looking for a relaxing pool side vacation, otherwise no disturbance was felt. Rooms were cleaned daily with sufficient complimentary water supplied. We did not eat at the hotel as International drive a short drive away has many well known restaurants covering all types of food, we also ate at the theme parks no restaurants at close enough to walk to so a car is essential. Over all the location of the hotel to all theme parks meant that access to them all was no more than a 20 min drive. Access to the state highway No 4 and also to the state turnpike made this hotel an ideal central location.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the seaworld parks. The room was very good for the price, the breakfast was v nice (nicer than the more expensive Holiday Inn), all represented very good value for money. BUT!! We had a HUGE issue finding the hotel - my husband couldn't get it on the Sat Nav so he just put in the number on International Drive. We couldn't find it where it says it was so we drove up and down this massive drive ot finding it at all, eventually finding another Comfort Inn on a back street and getting directions from them. The hotel is set along way back from international drive, unlike all the other hotels and is hidden behind other restaurants. To compound this it has a TINY sign at pavement level so impossible to see if you're driving, esp in the dark. We wasted over an hour trying to find this hotel. To the hotel management - please do something about your signage!

This hotel is at most a 2 star. It was very dirty (even elevators and hallways had not been vacuumed). We stayed for 2 nights, the hotel room smelled, the sinks did not drain water properly and toilets didn’t flush properly. Complained and was told they would be fixed but they were not. Lamps on the wall had a broken plug and did not work. Even the elevators and hallways were dirty and hadn’t been cleaned for a while. I’d rather stay at a motel as it’s the same feel but cleaner. Breakfast is included but be prepared for massive line ups. Only one toaster...that too with a broken handle for the entire hotel to use. Rooms also are not equipped with microwaves and only one in available the main lobby. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS HOTEL. Hotel staff did not do anything to make our stay more comfortable.

This was definitely more of a motel than Hotel and was a lot further away from International Drive than we had anticipated. The room was spacious and appeared to be clean (until I found a huge squashed cockroach on the floor!!) with comfortable beds. My room looked out into the car park which was noisy and felt somewhat unsafe. There were smells of smoke every morning in my room. A package was delivered to the hotel for me and they could not find it....it 100% should have been there though!!! Wawa’s was convenient

I have stayed in this hotel for over 5 years already. I am a repetitive client very often; however lately, there is this new lady that came on board that is not pleasant to deal with. She doesn't smile, not friendly at all and she seems to be bothered every time I asked for assistance or help. i.e. I have asked for a bag of ice and she wanted to charge me $1.00 after I told her that I have never been charged for this, she decided not to charged me and went on to get it but with a bad attitude. This young lady is the one that stand in the breakfast podium right when you checked in with her and writes your room number and the number of guests attending the breakfasts. I guess she forgot that (guests) are the reason why she has a job. We shouldn't be a burden to her job or daily activities. I guess customer service is not a department but to have the right attitude. you want to do business with people who appreciate your business and this lady doesn't appreciate it.

Sonesta ES on International Drive in Orlando, FL was perfectly located . Booked a 2 night stay in a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite for family of 5 (2 adults/3 minors). Towels provided were not sufficient for 5 IMO. The staff did not do the daily quick drop in to do the light clean up/provide new towels. I did request additional towels and staff was very prompt in bringing those to the suite. One of the toilets had problems and would not flush completely. Kitchen had all necessary items to cook etc, which was great. Downside to the stay is that the suite smelled the moment we stepped in it had an odor that appeared to maybe be mildew or moldy. The odor was prominent when walking in to the suite so i know it was that specific suite. Due to the smell, i would not book here again. The pros: the staff was very very helpful. I felt the front desk was amazing, the breakfast was decent, the premises were clean, the pool area was clean. Everything was within walking distance, restaurants, entertainment
