The location is very accesible and near to many places by Grab. Almost all the shopping areas from hotel cost about Rp14000.00 or about 15-20mins ride. Awesome wide spread breakfast and polite helpful service staffs at all areas. I receive a compliment welcome fruit platter on my arrival and slice cake on my birthday which they surprised me on my birthday. Room facing the pool side was awesome as the view is facing sunrise and moon at nite. Nearby food shops and minimart. All within walking distance. From airport i took the rapid train to Palembang Icon Mall station where u can shop and took Grab to 101 Hotel abt 15-20mins ride tat cost abt Rp14000.00 only. I would strongly recommend 101 hotel if u stay at palembang. Very very clean n great location. No regrets.

I checked in for 1 night, given a Std room and everything was pretty fast.To my surprise the room is very clean yet bright & is just nice for 2 ppl. it comes equipped wif super fast in room WiFi(Cisco AP) connection!!!The room v stayed was very quiet but on off u can hear ppl knocking on room door..i hope d hotel mgmt can install a door bell.Food was very so-so only lah..no qualms at all but still room to improve.Getting a taxi was pretty ezy as d hotel is located near d main road. Overall my 1 night stay was short & blissful. Will definitely recommend this hotel brand to anyone...

Arrived in Palembang City with Garuda flight in the evening, the Aston Hotel is very hommy. Deluxe room with woody floor, comfortable bed, modern shower bath room. It impressed me and my daughter. Quick check ini process, and wow...surprisingly we received the complimentary of brownies cake. We directly slept well by prior taking a bath under the warm water from nice shower. The following morning we started by taking "luxurious breakfast" at Hotel. All menu represent western and local culinary provided by the Hotel. We then started the "busy" agenda taking the city tour guided by sincere rental driver Pak Taufik. we visited local archelogy of cemetery some former kings, then continue to pass the local university just want to see how big this sriwijaya univeristy, then continued to visit local museum and fort. The musuem guide was very detail in explaining the history. One agenda that made us corious to visit was a small island. Frankly speaking I was worried and afraid taking the small boat, therefore I asked car driver to join with us. It was windy. One and half hour later we arrived at that island and found the unique chinese tample. We were hurry to return to the boad after taking picture, considered it almost rainy. We returned by boat and facing heavy rainy in the center of Musi river. It was very-very scary, unforgatble experience, finally we arrived safely. We were hungry then we went by car to the local restaurant called Pindang Patin ibu Uca. Sour, sweet, hot, ...really delicious. In the night we eat at Mpek-mpek beringin. It was full enoguh. We took evening pray at city mosque. Taking picture of the famious Ampera bridge. Taking piture at Jakabaring International Sport Center. We returned to Hotel at 9 pm. Very tired but happy. Taking warm bath then slept. The next morning once again taking yummy breakfast at hotel before departing to Jakarta. It was memorable staying at Aston and Palembang city.

The location is actually quite good: not in the center of the city but on the main road, and close to the airport. Traffic in Palembang can be pretty bad (It is one of the fastest growing cities in Indonesia). There is a decent shopping mall (Palembang Town Square) next to it. One of the best features of the hotel is its design. The rooms are arranged in a circle with a beautiful swimming pool in the center. The hotel has a feel of a village but a very modern one. The rooms are very spacious, each with a big bathroom, a sofa and a view to either a very well maintained garden to the pool. The lobby has a high ceiling and open design concept. The restaurant on the ground level has also very open and light design. This is certainly a hotel for those who love big, airy, sunlight-filled open space. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast menu is great!!! Plenty of selection and they taste really nice. The traditional "bubur ayam" (chicken porridge) is delicious. The staff are all very courteous, friendly and helpful. I have stayed here every time I went to Palembang, and will stay here again.

Its really appreciatable. That i have the language barrier with the staff. As they cannot speak english fluently. However they try to understand me. And fullfil all my requirements. Premium deluxe is really good. The front desk manager is really cooperative. She really cares about me as a special guest. I spend more then 6 months at the same property. Feels like it become my home and staff is like my family. I would reccoment people. If someone visit this city should try this hotel.

Breakfast is buffet I suggest however to include a variety for tourists like scrambled eggs, saussages or pancakes. The noise from hallways can be heard in room. Botheresome for business travelers or vacationers. TV programs are limited for English programs. Lots of mosquito in lobby. Better to enclose the coffee shop - dinning area. They did were not able to give me the room I wanted though but I managed. Location is close to shopping malls. Accessible to a lot of places. Overall, it was OK.

This hotel is outstanding value for money for a Western traveller. Central location, easy to get to from the incredible Light Rail that runs from the airport. The cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel itself cannot be faulted. But it lets itself down on a couple of area's .T e first is the breakfast. There are big stainless steel bowls of food with burners underneath to keep the food warm but they are not lit so the food is cold. The other problem is no hot water. It is just warm. But it is still a great little place to stay in the hectic pace of Palembang.

Room was really very clean however they need to do something with t bed sheet and towels - colour is off white. Get the rooms without breakfast cause they served a salty bubur ayam, room temperature fish soup, plain and fried rice were dry, lousy looking fried vegetables,salty and tough spicy chicken, stringy dry fried noodles, horrible coffee n tea(2small tea bags for a big pot) The receptionist-plenty of smile n welcoming, the Chinese looking waitresses has a couldn’t be bother attitude and but the rest of the breakfast crew were nice n friendly. The hotel is about 10 mins from masjid Agong ,Pasar 16 ilir, museum(20,000 for a patatic display) n ampera bridge/waterfront.

Actually, this is not my first time to select Grand Zuri. Since the first time I visited Palembang, I have been always staying in Grand Zuri. So far as I remember, the first time I went to Palembang, I did not make a reservation in Grand Zuri and it was fully booked that day. I felt terribly worried since it was almost 7:00Pm, and it was raining outside. But the receptionist tried her best to find another hotel. Deeply appreciate their kindness and consideration. I will always choose Grand Zuri once I visit Palembang in the future.

stayed 3 nights here. late check-in due to late arrival of flight. requested for airport transfer from the hotel management but none of it available. reached the hotel and ask the staff why there is no airport transfer as per requested. the answer is that they NEVER provide airport transfer.but it was indicated that airport transfer is available here in agoda. at least he hotel management should inform me earlier through phone or email that there is no airport transfer due to unavailability. during first day, went out for sight-seing around Palembang city, went back to room and found out that my room air-conditioned was turned-on! i am very sure that i turned it off before im leaving the room. and my room smell cigarette! even though i am a non-smoker. lucky that none-of my stuffs missing. as for the breakfast they provide, found hairs inside my meals. they should be aware of the cleanliness level of their food. overall the experience staying here is average. easy access to public transport (angkot)

I enjoyed staying as the hotel is kept clean and the restaurant served warm and tasty chinese style food with good choices of delicacies suitable for Malaysian taste. However, travel to the town centre is quite a distance by foot, taxi booking take time to arrive, map for tourist not available and other available transport to the town is inconvenient and uncomfortable. Would suggest the Hotel management make effort to acquire map of Palembang with tourist spot being marked clearly. Travelling means to be highlighted at the lobby either on notice board or brochures.

The process of check in and check out was fast and easy. The staffs are very helpful. The food is good. The hotel also allows me for late check out until 2.30pm without any extra charges. The hotel is also safe for my yound children to stay in a room on their own because there is no connecting room but the hotel gave me a room beside my room for my young children. It is a hotel that will try to their best to cater for customer's need whatever possible. I will surely recommend it to my friends travelling to Palembang.

I was in Palembang to visit friends and thought I'd give this hotel a go for something new. It's a little out of the way if you need to be in the city centre, but if not, it's a nice little place to stay. The restaurant has decent food, but you can of course do much better if you venture out. That said, for a nice, cool place to sit, have a drink and read a book or use the Internet, no complaints from me. The Internet had problems in my room on 2nd floor, but it worked perfectly (and was even dare I say it rather fast) in the restaurant. For whatever reason they are on different networks, but it does work. No problems with the room at all. It was clean, quiet and quite comfortable. Staff were quite good as well and even received a package for me in my absence. For the price, you can't do much better in Palembang. I didn't plan to spend much time in my room, so all in all, I was rather satisfied.

We stay at a group during our family year end vacation, we booked 3 rooms. The staff was really helpful to ensure that all 3 rooms are nearby on the same floor, they accommodate our endless request - not to mention there are 3 children in our group :p The hotel is new, so they still working on the finishing touch, but it does not impact the comfort of our stay in the hotel. The children love the swimming pool, and the breakfast menu is changed daily. They also have one traditional local menu in the breakfast buffet. For a city hotel (not a a five star hotel for sure), the hotel is recommended for all type of traveler; include a budget traveler.
