Hotels near Wenceslas Square

Let me start out by saying the location of this hotel is incredible! Prague is a great walking city and everything is close but this hotel is literally 2-3 minutes walking distance to many of the major tourist sites. Anything else (i.e. Charles Bridge, historical Jewish synagogues, etc.) is 10-15 mins. tops! Also, 24-hour McDonalds is just across the small street (15 second walk), a large grocery store is a few minutes away to buy snacks and drinks for room, Wenceslas Square just a couple of minutes away, full street of shops and restaurants in front of hotel, and the Estates Theatre (where I saw Mozart's The Magic Flute) is only a 1 minute walk away! Now on to the hotel itself. Staff very nice and helpful and always willing to help. The room was modern, clean and well maintained. The daily breakfast was plentiful and diverse but I would recommend to change it up every 1-2 days. For those of us staying for a few days we want to see other options. But the food was always fresh and service was great. The internet was 100% reliable and fast, never had a problem. The TV was small compared to US standards and only had 1 international channel (CNN), but then again, who wants to watch much TV while on holiday? :-) And lastly, the price of the hotel cannot be beat for the location and quality. Not sure if I caught a good deal online or because it was the tail end of the winter when I stayed, but for the price I was very pleased!

Conveniently located between the railway station and Wenceslas Square, the Sovereign Hotel offers comfortable, high-ceiling rooms within a high-end atmosphere. Breakfast was varied and ample, the attached restaurant was welcoming and there is an excellent traditional pub-restaurant directly opposite. It is possible to walk to all attractions from the hotel and Prague is a delight to walk through. The staff are friendly and helpful with Alicia and Alexandra on the front desk being excellent examples. We were extremely happy with our selection of the Sovereign, so much so that we extended our stay. Great value, nice people and a classy place to stay. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

The hotel is pretty small one on a small road but was not difficult to find. It's only ten minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and the Museum metro station and only around 20 minutes walk from the central station, Praha hl n. Charles Bridge is 30 minutes away on foot or a few minutes away by tram. Room is pretty small but enough for a good night sleep. Bathroom is also small but very clean. The receptionist is friendly and helpful (and beautiful). We could even buy tram ticket from her. What I like the most about the hotel is the free wifi which perform quite well. The only negative thing about Purpur is that they did not turn on the heating when it was rather cold for us (around 15~16 degree C, I suppose). However, the receptionist did give us a small portable heater which helped. Overall, it is a good value.

The hotel was stunning we had a fabulous room right opposite the astrological clock in the Old Town Square our 6 year old and 8 year old loved sitting on the window sill watching the clock, they never tired of the skeleton ringing the bell, and the apostles moving past the open doors. The room was extremely large, with a very large bathroom, the room was spotless, the hotel staff were extremely knowledgeable and couldn't do more to help. The breakfast was enjoyable with a large choice. OK for vegetarians, as eggs, salt, cheese, bread, yoghurts etc... but my vegan friends would find it limiting. Truly a wonderful hotel in a stunning location, we can't wait to return. Lots to do with the children .... Prague Zoo fantastic, horse and carriage ride, watching buskers on Charles Bridge, walk up to the top of the clock tower for a birds eye view of the city, The original black light theatre, the Marionette theatre .... so much more to explore, will return again soon, hopefully.

The hotel is decent quality but is in need of renovation to bring it to its former glory. The heavy hold bedspreads, curtains and strange bed head, for example, could be updated and simplified to a more elegant standard without compromising the heritage value of the building and its interiors. It takes just a few minutes to walk to the Charles Bridge and the old town square is also a short walk away. The room was a reasonable size, the bed was comfortable and the place isn't noisy (room faced away from the road/river). The bathroom was ok but the lighting was poor and the configuration of facilities was quite odd. Some updates are needed in the bathrooms especially. Breakfast buffet was ordinary and could be improved with higher quality ingredients, more variety and better temperature control on hot as well as cold foods. The exterior signage is difficult to see at night so there could be some improvement there as well. Nonetheless, I would stay here again and recommend it.

It is literally a new and modern style hotel (inside). But I think that blend well with that old historical building. I love the concept. The receptionist is warm and friendly too. The room has no TV, but I don't think I need that all. The room and toilet are so clean. The location is excellent. You can easily get tramp and train from nearby stations/stops. It is walkable to the National Museum and Wenceslas Square (St. Wenceslas Monument located) If you observe 'halal' diet, there are a kebab and Indian food restaurants within a walking distance. Highly reccomended

I had one of the best experience staying in a hotel anywhere here, and I've literally traveled to almost every corner of the globe. I arrived early and not expected to be able to check in at 8.30 in the morning so I just walked in just to ask to leave my luggage at the concierge and, to my surprise, the reception was very helpful and found me a room right then and there! So I could take a shower and had a little nap after 10 hours flight, I was impressed. On my last day my flight was leaving at 8 p.m. so I just dropped by the reception and ask if they could let me check out a little late and, again, they work it out for me so I could check out at 3.30 in the afternoon! This was, by far and large, the friendliest hotel staff I've met. Granted, the room was not as spacious as others I've stayed in but it was more than adequate and the hardwares were a little dated compare to the more modern hotels but you'll do just fine staying here. The best part of this Hilton Old Town is their access to all mode of public transportation which is "A Must" for exploring Prague, Namesti Republicky Metro Station is right down the corner and it takes 2 minute walk! Train Station is across the street although not the main station(HL.N) but if you just want to go to other provinces in Czech Republic it'll serve you well. Tram stop is also right across the street both front and back of the hotel. You will have no trouble getting around Prague that;s for sure. If you stay in old town area it could take you quite a while to get to public transportation since there is no metro or tram run through the area. Also, it only takes leisurely ten minutes to walk from the hotel to Old Town Square, and 20 Minutes to Charles Bridge. I would certainly stay here again on my next trip to Prague!

Iron Gate hotel is very centrally located from the Old Town square with a number of little markets and excellent restaurants and bars right around. It's in a very safe location and the staff were very kind and helpful. Room was huge with 2 bathrooms and a little lounge area. Breakfast was the best we have had in a European hotel. So all in all this hotel and staff deserve 5*!!!

Pros - no more than 5 - 10 mins from main square, good restaurants and bars. - executive suite made into 2 large bedrooms with king size beds. - kitchen and fridge area. - use of an app to store key card info for later check in. - very helpful staff on reception. - lift to all floors. - secure main entrance and rooms. - safe in the room. - 2 free standing fans (believe me they were needed in the 30 degree humidity with no air con). - good value for money. - modern and very spacious. - clean. - good range of bathroom toiletries. - less than one minute from a Lidl store for excellent pastries, cheap water and other produce you may need. - I recommend the bar across the road at motel one. We had friends staying there and the drink prices were reasonable. Cons (recommended improvements) - my biggest issue was no air con. We were three friends (girls) preparing for nights out and it good incredibly hot/sweaty. The two fans helped, but boy it was hot!!!

What a wonderful hotel. Staff were amazing and helpful. In particular the porter/concierge named Roman! Rooms were on the small side, however this was far outweighed by the clenliness and terrific location. Travelling with young children it is important to us to be in family friendly and safe part of big cities, this was both. Breakfast were excellent! The ONLY negative i could come up with was the sour staff member in the hotel "monaco bar" lounge. Very unfriendly and was an effort for her to get off of youtube to serve you. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to return.

Having visited Prague three times, I can definitely say that the location of this hotel is excellent. It is close to many restaurants, shops, the Charles Bridge, and the Old Town Square. We stayed in the shared room which was simple, comfortable, and clean. We arrived late after reception closed but the staff had arranged to leave our keys at a nearby hotel and was very organized in leaving us instructions. They were so kind as to give us a bottle of champagne to celebrate New Year's Eve too. We didn't try the breakfast but it was available for an extra charge. Overall, if you're looking for a clean place to stay for a few nights it was a decent place. The location is definitely the best thing about this place.

You cannot get more central then this. Located on Namesti Republiky square where the Palladium shopping center is located. A metro station entrance in front of the hotel. 5 mins walk to Mustek shopping center or main square and about 15 minutes walk to Karl's bridge. There's a close by Billa supermarket where you can get some groceries and put them in the room's refrigerator. Staff is helpful and friendly. They really work hard to put a smile on their face and to give good service. Standard double room is comfortable. Not big but not small either. Bed quality is good and the pillows are pampering. The room is was spotless and tidy. Breakfast holds a wide variety of dishes. Many types of bread/cheese/sausages/egg dishes/vegetables/deserts. Overall we had wonderful time in this Hotel.

Savic Hotel's location is the best thing out of many, many things we loved about our home in Prague. It is literally steps away from the Astronomical Clock, Old Town Square, Bethlehem Chapel, even Tesco, in case we needed to get a fix of international style retail therapy. The breakfast was amazing, consistently delicious and the staff remembers each guests with their choice of coffee or tea or hot chocolate after the first morning! The concierge was gracious and helpful with bookings for concerts and instructions for getting around town. And our room was spacious and well-appointed, with super comfortable beds and even a sparkling Bohemian chandelier right in the middle! I especially appreciated the common lounge area on each floor, where I enjoyed some quiet reading and writing Christmas cards without being too far from my room. I would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous hotel, nice sized rooms. Very clean and tidy. Staff very efficient at their job. Room was cleaned everyday with out fail. Even at breakfast they were very quick at clearing ur table. Breakfast was amazing such a variety of choice from freshly made omelettes to fry, to fruit and cereal. Just about a mile or under to the old town square which was perfect for us as it was that little bit quieter but still a good distance to walk to. Overall really great hotel, staff were great, great food and facilities would highly recommend it to anyone.

The Hotel Rott is bang in the middle of the Old Town and an easy walk to all the main sights. Just a few steps away are great bars and restaurants, and, most importantly, that unique Prague atmosphere from an unspoilt city centre. And the other major focus point, Wenceslas Square, with all the shops you could desire, is just a ten minute stroll uptown. The hotel sits astride the Hard Rock, which is handy and fun. The Rott is in the best location possible, but is also notable for its own lovely bar/restaurant, extremely helpful and efficient staff and spotless rooms with great heating for the winter and fully opening windows for the summer. And, for around 60 euros for a couple, represents amazing value.

I chosed this hotel when i booked it coz it looks very spelendid . And after I arrived there, i found that it's very convenient to every sightseeing spot,which i could go by walk . This is what I felt satisfied with it . Hotel room is very nice but still a little bit low of my expectations. I thought it would be larger .And the room is not rectangle size ,which makes the toilet and kichen room look very funny .Especially the toilet makes a little bit depressed . The hotel staff were very very kind to us . We loved them . I can say they are the best hotel staff i have ever met in Europe this time . And people speak very good English ,which makes us very happy to communicate . The last one is that the heating system is not very warm in Prague, sometimes I still wear my jacket in room . Anyhow, hope can go again in Summer time .

Great hotel in not a bad location, lots of restaurants and bars close by and the big shopping centre near was handy if you wanted some retail therapy after a full day of sightseeing! The rooms are spacious and very clean and fresh. The bathrooms are all newly renovated, however, they made the bath tubs too high. It is very difficult for smaller people like myself to get in, there is no where to hold onto as you climb in and out. I have no idea how elderly people cope! The breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. The staff were excellent, after mistakingly booking a twin room for my husband and I online, the reception staff were more than happy to rearrange rooms the next day to move me to a double bed. My only complaint is that there was only one lift working when we stayed , with 5 floors and a full capacity , it made for long waiting times. Even the staff that cleaned the rooms were complaining. All and all a very enjoyable stay and would be happy to stay again.

It has a living room, a walk in wardrobe, a huge bath, a small kitchen and a small dining area : its juz like a studio apt in Singapore. was really comfortable! some rooms oversees the courtyard - beautiful. Kempinski Hotel a nice place to stay and its really near to the square ~ Prague is beautiful

Great location convenient to Old Town Square, 10 minute walk from main railway station. Spacious (triple) room with large bathroom. The staff was very helpful with arrangements for an evening boat cruise (do not miss it). Excellent breakfast buffet. This is an older hotel with wonderful ambience which has been maintained superbly. Only negative is there is not air conditioning-while open windows provided comfortable breezes for sleeping, our room being on street side was noisy.

Great hotel in a pretty convenient location, about 5 minutes walk from Charles Bridge. Breakfast was included in the rate and there was good variety and it was available until 12 which was great. The best part was the common areas, there was probably as much floor space in the hotel dedicated to common lounges as to hotel rooms. There are only 8 rooms, so no common area was ever crowded. The staff were great and brought us a bottle of wine at midnight when we returned from dinner one night.

Nestled behind Wenceslas Square is where you'll find this warm and.,welcoming hotel. Its modern decor, clean rooms and, friendly staff make this a great base for a short break. The breakfast each morning is fantastic with a selection sure to tickle everyone's taste buds - ranging from freshly cooked omelettes, through hot plates, cold meat & cheese selections, cereals and, an array of pastries. Prague itself and, all it has to offer is within easy walking distance from Yasmin Hotel and, its location is ideal for all travellers.
