Hotels near The Padang

I stayed here several times and have to say it's good. Location is great, 2 mins waking to Clark Quay and 5 mins by taxi to Marina Bay Sand. The staff is nice and professional. I always stayed at Deluxe room but this time I booked the Superior. Frankly speaking there's a huge difference between them! While the Deluxe is nice and modern the Superior is really old and wear. Facilities like pool and gym are a bit dated but still ok.

Had a hectic flight with young kids, but the moment i reached the hotel, it was like heaven. Our luggage were taken immediately and we had a quick checkin. Tiffany kindly accepts to upgrade us to a room having bathtub. Having a bathtub in the room was one of my priorities for this travel. Thanks Tiffany. The room has a very nice decor and everything was digitalized. If you are not tech savvy, they will help you understand the digital device. Smart TV connected to internet, with youtube. Bed was too comfortable and kids do not want to wake up. The swimming pool was awesome and i can say all the staff are very helpful and wonderful Grand Park has an app, you can use it to message the staff of any queries during your stay. I was very impressed with the prompt reply and service. I wrote a message, sent and within 2 mins i heard the door bell. Wow Service. +5 stars hotel

I brought my family for a staycation overseeing the Padang for the NDP. Last year that it will be held there and with the height and location of the hotel, we are glad to be here for the best view of the fireworks. Disappointed for a five star rating hotel.. I am sure I'm not the only guest with a disappointing review for this hotel. Old furniture, dirty carpets that we prefer not to walk on bare feet and soft beds. With all due respect, this hotel can do so much better. I will be back if they could improve on their interior as competition is just across them. Cheers!

The comfortable bed and pillows in this hotel were undeniably the best ever experienced. We've travelled extensively and after a heavy day of sightseeing, it was just so comforting to have a good nights sleep. I'm still raving about the comfort. We travelled to the Fairmont very easily by train (with a change) from the airport. Even easier to get around by public transport with numerous train or bus options to all the top sightseeing options from just 2 or 3 minutes from the hotel door. Raffles is just across the street too. As the hotel is part of a shopping centre it was convenient to buy most anything you require from retail shopping to groceries, pharmaceuticals or fast food (if required). Hotel check in/check out staff were friendly but efficient and other staff were always helpful with advice and directions. Food and drinks were comparable with most 5 star establishments. I'd definitely recommend friends and family stay at the Fairmont Singapore and would return here again, if ever in Singapore. Staying here has piqued my interest in staying at other Fairmont establishments around the world. Signage and ease of public transport with the swipe on/swipe off cards has to make Singapore one of the easiest places in the world to get around.

This is one of my goto places in Singapore. Positives: smaller hotel. No queues at reception, quick service at breakfast, low floors means very little waiting or riding time in elevators Minor issues: bathroom has limited privacy if you are staying as a couple (I am a solo business traveller at this hotel), and breakfast is good for the value but much less than the mega buffets at more expensive hotels.

My second staycay at Heritage collection on Seah this year! Hassle-free check in, with Rachel checking us in. Very smooth process and accomodating to our arrival time. Rachel has also been prompt in responding to my messages and also in updating us. They needed to do a pest control check during our stay but everything was fast and efficiently executed. We didn't have to be in the room too. Apartment wise, the room is on the smaller side but being a loft, it gives the illusion of being way bigger. Despite having no windows to see outside, it doesn't feel claustrophobic. Instead, it gives a very calm and cozy feeling. For the facilities in the room, it will be hard for me to choose a normal hotel room in future. There is a kitchette, microwave, toaster, small fridge/ freezer and kettle in the room. There is also a washing machine in the building, though I didn't use it. Only not so good thing is that the fridge tends to freeze the food and drinks that are too close to the open freezer compartment. Will be back again, for sure.

my wife and i stayed at raffles to celebrate her birthday on our way home from a european trip. it was our 4th stay since 1992 and i never cease to be impressed by the quality of the experience. there are certainly more opulent hotels in the world but surely there are none with better service and general ambience. the checkin, the butlers introduction to the rooms features and facilities, tea and coffee being delivered without charge at a touch of a call button, the attention to detail are features. raffles does a whole lot extremely well. the hotel had not been informed of my wife s birthday but i guess they observed the date is in her passport . i was called in the room to say that it was noted that we had a celebration coming up. we came back from the pool to find the room decorated with birthday greetings and balloons, and towels folded as frogs. our butler and an assistant turned up with a birthday cake and our celebrations were well under way. the rooms are huge with fresh fruit was provided daily. the room is serviced more than once each day and still has a genuine turn down service. at the pool cold bottled water , chilled towels and fruit skewers were delivered by the pool attendant /barman without request or charge and towels were arranged for guests on the sun beds. the pianist in the writers bar is just brilliant. leslie, the historian who has been at raffles for 40 years, met us at breakfast in the tiffin room, and arranged to take us on a tour of the hotel. we had a chance to recall things about singapore and the hotel from the 70's when we first visited the hotel to have a singapore sling in the old long bar. raffles does everything you expect from a 5 star hotel and much more. it is a reasonably expensive experience and perhaps some of the services provided are not essential but they are nevertheless enjoyable. i don't think i have ever stayed any where which is better value for money. you really get what you pay for.
