Hotels near Tanjong Pagar MRT Station

This is one of the best 4-star hotels that is very much like a 5-star hotel. The lobby is just super nice and grand. Excellent first impression. Staff at check-in desk was friendly and attended to our request to have a room on a higher floor and away from the lift seriously. We were very satisfied with our room. The room was big, clean and comfortable. Air-conditioner was working perfectly fine. It has everything we could ever ask for in a hotel. Location is great. About 5-10 minutes walk to Tanjong Pagar MRT station, depending on how fast do you walk. There are quite a lot of different types of restaurants, eateries and hawker centres around. Fair Price supermarket is just across the street. Things which could be better: The staff who helps hotel guests to get taxi could be more proactive and friendlier. If the hotel room could also provide amenity pack with cotton bud and cotton pads, that would be great. The bed and pillows are too soft for me.

Parkroyal on Pickering is possibly the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in (and I have stayed in several, though not many, 5 star hotels before). The main reason is that it is so well designed and perfectly suits its setting. Singapore likes to call itself the "garden city" and this is certainly a "garden hotel". The hotel strikes a great balance between stone, wood, glass and vertical garden and the design carries over into the room. The result is a comfortable room that still feels modern and chic. For me personally and especially when travelling for leisure, memorable, thoughtful design will trump some patented mattress, showerhead or what have you any day. Another great plus is the infinity pool on the 5th floor with views of downtown Singapore. The location is great to visit Chinatown and Clarke Quay and is not too far from other sights. The nearest MRT station only has one line so you might have to transfer, but other than that I would say the location is very convenient. We did not try the hotel breakfast, restaurant or any other food features, so I cannot report on that. There is so much good food in Singapore, that I thought it would be a shame to have hotel food. What I can say is that there is only one restaurant in the lobby, so there are not many options for those so inclined. Judging by the menu, the breakfast looked pretty much par for the course. We did not have a lot of interaction with the hotel staff, but whenever we did they were very courteous in taking care of our luggage on arrival, calling cabs and handling inquiries.

this is my second stay at orchid hotel. the staff is friendly and helpful, a high level of service. if you can, request a room at the end of the corridor that faces toward the shophouses on tanjong pagar road toward orchard. but actually, the views are great in any direction except toward the direction of amara hotel which is blocked by new construction. the rooms are large with big windows, full amenities, and a nice bathroom. room was spotlessly clean. you get a lot of hotel for the money here, especially with an agoda booking. no need to get the breakfast option because there are many food choices in the area. maxwell food centre is nearby and tanjong pagar market is across the street. tanjong pagar mrt station is steps away, another reason to recommend this hotel. i love orchid hotel and i'll be back for sure!

Greeted by warm friendly staff. Great location! Located right in the middle of CBD area and RIGHT NEXT TO Lau Pa Sat. Many nearby eateries besides Lau Pa Sat. Short walk to Mrt station. The bed is fantastic and clean plus pillow menu. I probably had the best and most comfortable sleep in a long time at So Sofitel. The complimentary bar is a big plus! It is a little overpriced I feel..but I guess its standard Sg hotel rates. The only think I wasn't too comfortable with is the air-conditioning. It is freezing once you get to the room floors along the corridor. Perhaps, the management should look into adjusting to a more pleasant temperature.

I chose to stay here because it is close to my meetings by Raffles Quay and Asia Square as well as around Tanjong Pagar. The quality and service are good and what I would expect for a Westin. But it is not for tourist, as it will be quite far away from any tourist attractions, or restaurants etc, as it is in an office building. The one thing that bugged me was I had to switch lifts to get from my room to ground so it can take up to 0 minutes to get downstairs if one has to wait for the lift.

Really love the concept and design of the hotel. Location isn't near mrt but it is walkable from telok Ayer and tanjong pagar mrt. Room was clean, bed is comfortable and there is nothing much to fuss about. The only issue we faced was the AC. There was some issue over the weekend and the AC would switch off by itself throughout the night. It was pretty discruptive. It kinda affected our sleep for 2 nights straight. We were kinda of disappointed over this.

All receptionists can speak English and Chinese, and they are friendly. The check-in process needs to improve. It says the check-in time is 14:00, when we got there at 15:00, the receptionist told us the room has already cleaned but need sometime to check. We waited about 10 minutes. However, when we stepped in our room, I still saw wet floor. Apparently it was cleaned when we waited. Tips: Tanjong Pagar MRT station is nearer than Telok Ayer MRT station. There is a food center near downtown MRT station.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and checked-in on their opening day. We enjoyed the open-air concept of the 12th floor lobby with had comfortable seating overlooking a spectacular view of the city. The room was equipped with comfortable, clean bedding. The switches in the room were all labelled and thus, very user friendly. The toilet, on the other hand, was compact with a rather small shower cubicle. Towels and other amenities were of premium quality. Value for money given the price we paid during this opening promotion period. Staff were more than friendly and we were even treated to a 'welcome muffin' upon check-in in the room. Location is unparalleled (just behind Carlton City Hotel and steps away from the Tanjong Pagar MRT station and Tanjong Pagar Road where you will find numerous eateries and hipster cafes.

It was a great experience. Even though it lacks the amenities of a 5 star hotel, it more than makes up for it with its friendly and very sincere staff and great location. The hotel sits right beside the Telok Ayer MRT station. It's within walking distance from Chinatown, Sri Mariamman temple, Buddha Tooth Relic temple as well as Tanjong Pagar. It's a short train ride as well to Marina Bay Sands, Sentosa and Orchard. A repeat stay is in the pipelines.
