Hotels near Singapore Expo

This was the best travel decision I have made according to my wife. Returning from Thailand at midday, with our return flight to Australia the following morning, this just made sense. Having stayed at a 5 star hotel in Singapore City before travelling onto Thailand, we were very pleased with the room we were given on the top floor overlooking the southern runway. The Customer Manager who showed us to our room introduced to all of the features of the room and highlighted the entitlements of the Executive upgrade, especially the happy hour and the availabilty of an early breakfast in the Executive Lounge. After a short shopping spree in the City via train and a leisurely return by taxi, the happy hour in the Executive Lounge was a fitting end to a weeks holiday overseas. A first class evening meal in the room; a timely wake up call with a light breakfast again in the Executive Lounge, and then a leisurely stroll to the Skytrain to Terminal 1, is the method by which we will leave Singapore in future, even when it is a stopover from Europe.

We were welcomed at 1am by a friendly, professional and efficient receptionist who gave us all the information we needed, including directions to our room without having to ask, which hasn't happened for a while. Quite, comfortable , immersed in nature and close to the airport as we had a 24 hour transit. Breakfast excellent as was the service. During check out receptionist asked for flight details and noticed I wasn't well so she offered entry to their lounge which was comfortable and very relaxing. Just what we needed before a long haul flight. Very discrete, hospitable and professional staff. Will return to this hotel even if I need to visit downtown Singapore because it is the best hotel , with all the services, that I have been to in Singapore, and I have screened quite a few which have been lovely but this is home away from home with a luxurious touch. Compliments to management as you have chosen your staff well. Ambience is the best I have felt in a hotel in a little long time.

We had an overnight stay in Singapore before flying out to Sri Lanka the next day & so I booked this place because it was close to the airport & reasonably priced. We were not disappointed. We checked in after midnight after a short 10 minute cab ride from Changi Airport. Check in was easy tho we did have to provide $100 deposit which I never like. The room was big though a little dated & the beds comfy. There is no window in the room but there is a door out to a balcony. The breakfast was great and plentiful. It's a short walk to Changi Village which has a great food hall with lots of cheap and tasty food stalls. All in all it was a pleasant stay. It's not 5 star but then you are not paying 5 star prices. I would definitely recommend if you are just in Singapore for a stopover.

I booked this hotel as there was a concert held at the nearby Max Pavilion Singapore Expo. Location wise, it is located very near to Singapore Expo, like just across the road. There were a lot of eateries surrounding the hotel with convenience store also located very close. The MRT station was also located next to it so even though it's located far at the industrial area, traveling to tourist attractions was not a problem at all. Hotel facilities wise, there were iron & iron board provided, clean drinkable tap water and a very nice comfy bed. Overall experience was awesome and definitely a hotel I would recommend

Just remember you are booking a mostly airport lounge,that was not made that clear on the Agoda website..however if you are not too fussy and only in Singapore for a long weekend then this is adequate...The site itself has a lounge area where you can have drinks and snacks and also the place where a cooked breakfast is served..internet access is also in this area..the rooms are small and there are only shared toilets and showers on site,but as i was out most of the time (Singapore Grand Prix) this was not an issue..ideally placed for the airport as it is actually on site,easy to find public transport as right next to coach park,and the underground (MRT) is in the airport complex too...

After 10 years of regular travel to Singapore we've stayed in pretty much everything in this beautiful city from Raffles and the Ritz Carlton to backpacker walk ups in Little India. We reckon Changi Village Hotel is the best 4 star hotel in Singapore. It's great value in a great little village with real atmosphere, where genuine Singaporean residents live. The strip of bars, restaurants and shops is just footsteps from the hotel entrance and has everything you need for a great stay. The stunning sea views offer the perfect backdrop to a relaxing trip. If you want the bright lights of the city centre it's still only 30 minutes away by cab. I guess most people know the hotel as a short stopover spot for transit passengers from the airport. I'm sure it works fine for that but it has SO much more to offer for a longer stay. The rooftop pool is a joy and the fitness centre is well equipped too. The Executive Lounge on the 6th floor is as good as any you'll find anywhere with a great coffee selection, PC access, reading material and a lovely outdoor balcony to enjoy. The rooms are clean and spacious with wonderfully comfortable beds and cool, modern bathrooms. But the real secret to this hotel is the staff. Even though they face high guest turnover with the airport sector they treat each guest with warmth and courtesy and never miss an opportunity to help out or offer a friendly greeting. There's something very genuine about the whole experience and I'd say they make great ambassadors for Singapore. I sometimes travel alone and sometimes with my wife and young daughter but either way these people make me want to come back again and again. A hotel should be welcoming and this one is. Sure, there's a bit of faded paintwork here and there, the corridor carpets are probably due for a change and the exterior facade has some green algae spots that need removing - but forgive those minor fair wear and tear issues and you'll discover a hotel with real heart and soul, a diamond.

Didn't quite know what to expect with our stopover and hotel as we booked the week before we left! Definitely would stay here again, easy to find in Terminal 1, it's all in transit so need to go through customs. Hotel exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed. The bed and bedding is of the highest quality, had the best night sleep that we have had in ages with 2 queen size beds. A lovely breakfast was included in the price of our room. Would definitely stay again and will let all our friends know who are travelling and need a stopover in Singapore. Very impressed
