"I was so hesitating to try this place as I am not young anymore and I prefer to spend money to be confortable. But every time I checked this place there was something intriguing about it to make me try it . And YES it worth it. Perfect location , super clean, everything is new and modern style, nice staff, nice guests when I was there and I think most of the time you won’t find the lousy noisy usual youth hotel type of guests probably because this hotel is not cheap. But it worth every penny if you want to live a quite safe adventure . It is super safe and a little bit too quite at night in th dorm that you need to whisper not to make noises which is good . It is a small room the size of the bed but it is all you need . It is best fitted for somebody who is not willing to stay at the hotel but for sleeping . Maybe not a good idea for those who want to relax in th hotel room. "

"Wow, we had a wonderful stay at Sequence! I had been in touch before our arrival and our room and view were amazing - thank you! The room was so spacious and well equipped - we especially loved the shower gel and shampoo! Such a convenient location, very close to Shibuya station and all the new shopping/dining areas in Shibuya. Our view was AMAZING and we loved the little 'Hi Tokyo' sticker on the window (which is now in our photos too) the coffee shop had a lovely atmosphere. We didn't use the bar, but we did have breakfast in the morning - which was delicious! Couldn't fault our stay at all....we hope to return again soon!"

"This is one of the best hotel We've stayed. We stayed for 3 nights. The room is small but that isn't unusual for hotel in Japan. The hotel is new and modern. The bathroom is THE best. Super clean. I love the bed. The staffs there are super friendly. I love how I can mix the heater and AC together, so the room isn't so cold and so warm, an easy configuration for the AC/heater. The place is walking distance to everything in Shibuya / Yoyogi / Harajuku. However, do aware that the hotel located at a uphill. We struggle a bit with our luggage uphill. Other than that the hotel is perfect location and did I mention it is clean? Yes. Super clean. "

"Our stay at the Shibuya Tobu Hotel was almost perfect. I will say it up front that the beds aren't too bad but the pillows are pretty poor. I can sleep in a lot of places quite easily but after 10 days my shoulders were aching. I went to the local LOFT shop and bought a pillow for £10 and was sorted after that. The hotel is dead in the middle of Shibuya, if you want to go drinking and clubbing then stay here! It is no more than 3 minutes walk to a bar, 5 minutes to a club. At the end of the night you can walk/crawl up the main road, past McDonalds and to your hotel room. Again since it's about 2 minutes to Shibuya central station, you can pretty much travel anywhere you like very easily. We took the NEX from Narita airport to Shibuya (1 hour) and also toured the city using the Metro. I visited shinjuku to compare and Shibuya is by far the best. If you don't like that touristy vibe and prefer a more japanese scene then Shibuya is the best. Shinjuku had too many people trying to get your for dodgy parlours and bars etc. in Shibuya go to 27CrazyForce - best bar there. Ask for Shoma and tell you that the Scottish Guys sent you!! You will not regret it!"

"This is a great hotel, but the fact is, if you're reading reviews, you'll likely only care about the negatives, so here they are: The hotel is pretty dated looking and air conditioning is building-wide rather than per room. Additionally, when I was packing, I had plans to go out for an evening with a friend. They arrived early, so I invited them up to my room to wait as I finished packing before heading out. When I came down, I was promptly reminded that because I registered as 1 person staying in the hotel, that only 1 person was allowed in my room, and that they had the power to kick me out for breaking this. Strangely, every day they gave me enough towels/slippers/nighties for 2 people. Some research revealed that this is an issue with many hotels in Tokyo, but this encounter just really put me off. I can see that being a real issue for the club-going night owl travelers of Tokyo, so if that's you...you might want to find a different place. Aside from that, the service was the best I've ever encountered in any hotel I stayed at. Included waters every day, they let me check in early, and they even folded my clothes when cleaning my room. Location was also close to Shibuya crossing."

"My family (6 adults) really enjoyed our stay here on Nov 1-Nov 4, and again on Nov 7-Nov 8, 2009. It is easily accessible from Narita airport via Airport Limousine Bus (they have their own bus stop) as well as by Japan Rail. In fact, the hotel is on top of the subway & the Yamamote JR line, which allowed us to go EVERYWHERE without ever touching a taxi. The staff was courteous and friendly, and allowed us to hold luggage since we arrived too early for check-in, and also held luggage for us for several hours prior to our flight home. We stayed on the 16th & 18th floors, both which had excellent views to our right of Shibuya crossing (the one with all the lights from any movie about modern Japan), but best views of the crossing come from the elevators and lobby. The rooms are small by American standards, and beds are smaller than Queen sized, but still fit two comfortably enough, and the bathrooms came equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, as well as toothbrushes, combs, razors, etc. There was also an empty mini-fridge available for storing snacks as well as hot water for tea/coffee. Beware of the tv remote, because it can be easy to hit the PPV buttons by accident. Fortunately, you won't get charged unless you agree to accept the charges. Which reminds me, the hotel has pay-per-use computers for internet in the lobby, but if you bring your own laptop, internet is free within the room (they have a cable available for use). Helpful hint - prices were definitely a better value when we booked for more than night. All-in-all, fantastic hotel for location & convenience! "
