Hotels near Beach Road

King size bed, quiet bedrooms, great breakfast, impressive lobby, helpful staff, location next door to Raffles, decent size pool with nice pool side bar. Great food and bar complex over the road. Only small niggles. Not sure about the hotel bar as it is tucked away in the premier section. Would be better if closer to MTR, although not too far away. The bedroom lighting system was odd in that you couldn't just have one reading light on; you had to have both. The TV remote control setup was unusually difficult to master.

I stayed here several times and have to say it's good. Location is great, 2 mins waking to Clark Quay and 5 mins by taxi to Marina Bay Sand. The staff is nice and professional. I always stayed at Deluxe room but this time I booked the Superior. Frankly speaking there's a huge difference between them! While the Deluxe is nice and modern the Superior is really old and wear. Facilities like pool and gym are a bit dated but still ok.

Had a great stay in room 526 at Grand Park City Hall Hotel. Room was exactly like photos, the tech features were pretty cool and location was amazing! We were so happy we stayed in the location we did, so close to everything we did (Chinatown, Clarke Quay, Sentosa (taxi), Merlion Statue/Fountain park, National Art Gallery, Gardens by the Bay (taxi). There is also this really cool church sort of across the road.. its so pretty and a spectacular sight at night. Hotel was so close to all the really nice shopping malls, Funan shopping mall across the road, Raffles City shopping mall which connects to Marina Square, SunTec City and Millennial Walk from underground only 2 min walk away. In terms of the hotel, overall we had a really good experience. we didn't have to put down a security deposit, which was great for budgeting whilst on holiday. Concierge was friendly and always greeted us with a smile, although recommendations of local places (beauty) around the hotel wouldve been handy.

This is a nice hotel, however the management should consider ways to improve on their internal communication skills. My friends came over and wanted to leave at 230am but found themselves stranded as all lifts were down then they went back to my room while waiting for the frontdesk to call back. Meanwhile I made a call to frontdesk to find out what's happening and the solution to leaving but was faced with the same reply that the lifts are all down but this time round, I asked about leaving via fire escapefirpe and the reply which I got was that it's locked. Long story short I called back an hour to mention that my friends have a flight to catch in that morning! That was then they finally provided a solution which is to get them down to level 38 via fire escape staircase where a staff will meet them to take the lift down. While I truly appreciate the hotels concern on the safety of their guests, but it will be great to improve on their knowledge on safety esp for a high rise 5-star hotel. Also, some flexibility with the check in will be rather rather than telling me that the room will be given to us at 3pm as "promised".

Picked Parkroyal on Beach Road Hotel because of location and price. Great location and very convenient to get around. Taxi stand right out the front doors, bus stop in front and opposite the Hotel. Bugis MRT Station a few minutes away. Booked a Deluxe room on a Friday and took advantage of the great price. Room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable we found ourselves sleeping in one day! Had Wi-fi connection and it was fast.Lots of restaurants nearby, 7-11's and of course for the coffee lovers, Starbucks! Will not hesitate to book the Parkroyal on Beach Road Hotel again.

We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay at the Fairmont at the beginning of February. Our deluxe harbour view room was perfect from the huge comfy bed and large luxurious bathroom to the view of the city and marina at night. The room itself was very large by most standards and with a nice balcony to admire the cities skyline from. The facilities at the hotel were also excellent with by far the best equipped gym i have seen at a hotel to date. The two pools both seemed nice although we didnt use these. Location wise i dont think you can get much better. The hotel has a nice mall and foodcourt attached to it and this can be acccessed internally through the hotel. At the entrance to the mall is the city hall MRT from where you can access virtually all of the city. Around a 10 minute walk will get you to the singapore flyer and marina bay areas, and a 10 minute walk in the other direction will get you to Clark quay and boat quay areas. For a singapore sling, Raffles is just across the road! Very little to fault with this hotel but as with most hotels in singapore there is no complimentary wifi in the rooms. This seems a little ridiculous when you spend so much money on a room in a highly rated hotel. In Thailand wifi was complimentary virtually everywhere from budget to luxury accomodation. No breakfast included either which would have been nice. However, these are only really minor points and certainly did not detract from an otherwise excellent stay. Highly recommended!!

We booked this Loft suite last minute but was happy with the good value for money apartment. we stayed for 8 days and we felt that being there feels like home. Our compliments to Management staff, Silvia, who is less than a month in her job but never failed to impress us. This truly exceed our expectations everytime. I love the location - near to both City hall & Bugis MRT and lotsa eateries and nearby malls for you to shop. I love the privacy that was given to us . We will come back and book again. my wife and i stayed at raffles to celebrate her birthday on our way home from a european trip. it was our 4th stay since 1992 and i never cease to be impressed by the quality of the experience. there are certainly more opulent hotels in the world but surely there are none with better service and general ambience. the checkin, the butlers introduction to the rooms features and facilities, tea and coffee being delivered without charge at a touch of a call button, the attention to detail are features. raffles does a whole lot extremely well. the hotel had not been informed of my wife s birthday but i guess they observed the date is in her passport . i was called in the room to say that it was noted that we had a celebration coming up. we came back from the pool to find the room decorated with birthday greetings and balloons, and towels folded as frogs. our butler and an assistant turned up with a birthday cake and our celebrations were well under way. the rooms are huge with fresh fruit was provided daily. the room is serviced more than once each day and still has a genuine turn down service. at the pool cold bottled water , chilled towels and fruit skewers were delivered by the pool attendant /barman without request or charge and towels were arranged for guests on the sun beds. the pianist in the writers bar is just brilliant. leslie, the historian who has been at raffles for 40 years, met us at breakfast in the tiffin room, and arranged to take us on a tour of the hotel. we had a chance to recall things about singapore and the hotel from the 70's when we first visited the hotel to have a singapore sling in the old long bar. raffles does everything you expect from a 5 star hotel and much more. it is a reasonably expensive experience and perhaps some of the services provided are not essential but they are nevertheless enjoyable. i don't think i have ever stayed any where which is better value for money. you really get what you pay for.
