“Convenient & Comfortable”
The staff is amazing! They know some English so it’s not hard to communicate with them. The amenities are endless: coffee machine, soda machine, food machine, manga to read (it’s all in Japanese but still cool that there’s manga), laundry room (one dryer, one washer), and bath essentials! The location is really convenient. Very close to Sunshine city mall, a ton of restaurants, and stores to shop at. It’s about a 10-12 minute walk to the station. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom included a blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body/face towels. The room included two sets of slippers (one leather and one disposable), mini fridge, electric kettle, two glasses and mugs, hangers, and deodorizing spray. Right behind the hotel is a 7/11, so it’s a quick walk to get whatever else you need. It’s also a quiet neighborhood! Definitely would recommend for couples who are looking to shop, families who want activities less than 10 minutes away, or single travelers who aren’t on a tight schedule and just want to go with the flow.

“Confortable, clean, and convenient”
The hotel rooms are small, as is typical in Japanese hotels, but the location is very convenient as there is a 7 eleven and all the Ikebukuro stores and malls nearby. The hotel has a nice lounge with free drinks and some food available for purchase. Some people may find it a bit far from the station itself, but the main road you use to get there is packed with stores and restaurants so it's a very pleasant walk. Ikebukuro station also gives access to alsmost anywhere in Tokyo so that also makes it a good central location when visiting the city. The hotel is also very clean and cozy, and there is a super Nintendo in the lobby!

“Clean, quiet, close to Sunshine City”
Location is easy to find, about 10 min walk from Ikebukuro station. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby you'll never run out of things to look at. Staff were nice and efficient. Lots of amenities available (the usual toiletries), tea bags, coffee, even instant miso soup! Lobby has a vending machine for food and a shared dining area. Room is small but it's ok for the price. Clean room and bathroom. One downside is they only have ONE washing machine and dryer in the whole hotel, and coin laundry is quite a walk from the hotel... so it will be a bit of a wait if you want to do laundry and someone already using it.

“Very friendly and professional staff!”
I was very happy with this hotel! The front desk staff were very friendly, helpful and professional! We were allowed to Check-in early, and we really appreciate it! The room was small (as expected at Tokyo), but very clean! At the 1st Floor, there is a Communal area which has a complimentary Drink Machine, Vending Machines for Frozen Meals & Bottled Drinks, a Microwave, Eating Utensils, and of course, tables & seating. I really like this Communal Area! The hotel's location requires a bit of walking to get to Ikebukuro Station, however, I actually really like the location (I don't mind walking)! Downstairs has a convenient 24-hour 7-Eleven, and Sunshine City is to the South, within walkable distance. The highlight for me was that the hotel is located near the Otome Road (towards Sunshine City), and also near the major anime merch shopping areas (to the West). I would definitely come back and stay at this hotel in the future, and I recommend it to anyone who is interested in shopping at the above mentioned areas!

“Efficient solo experience”
This hotel is great for the cost! If you are a solo traveler the smaller room type (150 sq/ft) is cramped, but completely usable. I shopped like crazy and fit 4 large luggage in my room, as well as the stuff I bought. If you are a larger person, you may find it simply too small. The bathroom is very efficiently organized, with little wiggle room. However, if you are used to the common Japanese style rooms, you’ll find this perfectly fine! The staff didn’t speak much English, but using Google translate will help with any more difficult conversations. They were extremely kind and happy to help me with a couple of things I wasn’t sure about for my stay. The front desk area also had a lot of free small necessities you may have forgot to pack yourself, plus some nice extras. Now, the location: It is not a kind walk to the station if you are going out and returning multiple times a day. I think if you’re used to walking a lot in Tokyo, you’ll find will find that it is an acceptable 15~ minute walk to the platform. However this adds up quickly if you plan to return to your room often. I was walking around 20,000 steps a day and by the end of the day I was always wishing I had a hotel closer to the station. Having said that, there is a LOT of anime and merchandise stores very close by the hotel. Animate main store, Sunshine Mall, K-books, Capcom store.. all are very easy to walk to! There’s also a 7-11 right next to the hotel of course. Overall, I don’t think I could have done much better for the price. It was incredibly cheap for a 6 day visit to Tokyo, coming in around $***. EASILY worth the cost for a solo traveler.
