Great Option for Weekend in Basel”
Very nice hotel with spacious rooms and stocked with modern conviences; hair dryer, cosmetic mirror, wireless phone charger, nespresso... Short walk to old town and restaurants but fairly quiet in the evenings. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent Hotel!”
Stay at this hotel when you're in Basel! It's a clean boutique hotel with a modern interior. What you get is worth much more than what you pay. The staff are friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond at this hotel. The rooms were bright and clean. Stay in the corner room by the Spalentor gate to get the best view through windows on two walls. The breakfast is reasonably priced and it is good quality, especially when considering what else is available elsewhere throughout the country.

Clean, comfrotable, central hotel”
I was upgraded upon arrival to a junior suite but even if I had not been, my stay at the hotel Spalentor would have been just as pleasant. Fresh apples and refreshment upon check in. Coffee machine in room. Immaculately clean, extrememly comfortable bed with lovely soft linen. Personnel: accomodating, pleasant and professional. Free transport provided by hotel on public trams and buses and if you wish, you can rent a bicycle for free from the hotel. I was granted a late check out. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Basel. Recommended.

Excellent hotel, good value for money”
An excellent hotel, ideally located only a short distance from the city centre and easily reached by public transport. Upon arrival a free mobility card is given (allowing free public transport in Basel). Large and very modern room, excellent bed, satellite tv (only a few channels non-German language), fast and reliabe Wifi included in the price; the room has a luxury coffee machine; there is an inroom safe; many more extras to make your stay very pleasant. Breakfast is a buffet, both hot and cold, of very good quality; perhaps a bit expensive (CHF 16 per person). All in all highly recommended, great value for money.

Excellent location friendly English speaking staff”
The staff welcomed us and gave tips what to see. The only hotel provide welcome drink of Pelegrino water, some fruits and other. Never expect a small beautique hotel provides a hospitality of this kind. Car parking spaces inside the yard of the hotel. Location just accross from thet old Medievil gate. Only 3 minutes walk to the university. I am surprised to see the quality of the amenities inside the room and the hardware of the sink they are using. Water flows very well and no clog. We would return again next time to explore Basel during fashion sale

Comfortable clean and convenient”
The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the main station on a No 30 bus. Show the driver your hotel booking and the ride is free. Excellent check in, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was excellent and WiFi also. Breakfast was very good ask them for different eggs if you don't want the scrambled on the buffet. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again if I was staying in Basel.

Hotel Spalentor more than met my expectations in all ways. The hotel was conveniently located near the city center, and was on a tram line making travel extremely easy. The rooms were clean, bright and well lit with a desk for work, and a large TV for relaxing! The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, and made excellent recommendations for dining and transportation. Would recommend to anyone.

strategic for the adventure one”
we stay for 2 nites in Spalentor. everthing is good until we know that they didnt hv any ac in the room. lucky we were here on 05 july..so weather is still oke. as the location is very strategic...just accross the hotel u can see the old city and 5 minute walk u can find they center...shopping , restaurant are there. on the other side u can enjoy bicycling ( provide free from hotel :) and enjoy swim in Basel river.

Clean and modern”
This was the first stay on our multi-city honeymoon and it couldn't have been a more comfortable stay. The room was a good size with very clean new furniture & accessories. Everything felt like it had never been used before. The breakfast was excellent with a very swiss selection of foods (aah, Swiss bread & croissants!) and eggs made to order. The staff were always friendly and very helpful. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at an affordable price.

This hotel ticked every box for us. We were given clear instructions on how to travel from the airport and were given a warm welcome on arrival. There were no end of goodies to make us feel welcome - we even came away with a t-shirt and a rubber duck to remind us of our stay. Granted it was a flying visit and so we weren't able to make use of all the facilities (we would have enjoyed the use of free bikes had we the time)but we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Good bed, clean rooms good location”
I had a nice stay of one night for business, the rooms are spacious with a nice desk to work. The bath room might be a bit smaller but better this way around. The breakfast buffet is very good with a wide choice of sweet or salty treats. The staff is very friendly. Be careful they a parking but limited in space.
