“Overpriced for quality of stay. ”
There was nothing in particular that drove us away from Hotel Sorgawi, but nothing made us want to stay either. The room smelt and felt damp and musty. Behind our bed was a gaping hole covered by a tapestry, so we felt far from comfortable leaving things in the room. The staff were smiley but weren't around much after we checked in, though I'm sure they would have done all they could to help despite language barriers. There was no wifi, and the bathroom was basic with no hot water. In the evening and at breakfast, we sat on a standalone porch overlooking the lake (unfortunately with a pylon in the way) which was lovely, particularly in the warm evening. The bed itself was damp and smelt/felt old and dirty. I was fortunate enough to have a pillow case to put over the pillow, as well as lavender oil to conceal the smell. We had booked one night in the hotel with the intention of staying in the area another night, and chose to stay in another guest house on our second night. If we had paid half the price for our stay, it would have been more acceptable.
