Great Staycation.”
I was needing a place to getaway and do some writing, so wanted a room that would be comfortable to stay in for awhile, and a hotel that I wouldn't have to leave if I didn't want to. This was perfect. When I walked in the room (double doors!) it felt luxurious but homey. There was a lounging area, a desk space, massive bathroom, and a private balcony with comfortable chairs. The food at the restaurant was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The price felt a bit on the high side coming out of COVID times when all the great places were on sale, but it was still good value for money. I really enjoyed my stay, and would definitely recommend it.

Amazing stay in Siem Reap”
We loved this hotel so much that we decided to extend our stay in Siem Reap. The staff are so friendly, the hotel is lovely with great breakfast and a huge pool. The location was perfect for us: it felt more local without being in the core of touristic areas but still allowed us to walk everywhere within 5-10 blocks. Would definitely return to this hotel if I'm back in Siem Reap.

Stayed here two nights and I was impressed at the first sight of the hotel. The staff was extremely warm and helped me out with suggestions and getting me tutuks. Also bought a guide book for Angkor Wat which I must say was the best 25dollars I spent on that trip also recommended by the staff. I would definitely recommend anybody going to Siem Reap to stay at this property.

Great option close to city center!”
Stayed here two nights and was pleasantly surprised. Airport transfer was great and they were waiting promptly at gate for us. Decorated the room in flowers for our anniversary and provided extra towels and blankets as needed. ONLY complaint...bed is firm as a board. Barely any padding and the pillows weren't normal shaped. Smaller than normal. Husband has bad back and slept great...me being smaller and the bed so thin, I woke up sore. The breakfast was 5 stars with several Asian options and made to order soups and eggs. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in every way! Location - you can't beat it.

Stand out customer service and a modern/clean hotel in a nice location”
My girlfriend and I stayed at Somadevi for 5 days / 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The customer service by the staff was so really great -- on par with much more expensive hotels! They all knew our names, took great care of us, and helped with all our requests. I hurt my ankle and they went out of their way to provide ice, offer to get a doctor, help us with our bags on check out, etc. So nice of them! The hotel is modern/clean, in a great neighborhood and is great value. I definitely recommend Somadevi!

The hotel is close to the Pub Street, just 10 minutes walk-distance. Taking Tuk Tuk to Angkor Wat (to see sun rise) takes around 20 to 25 minutes only. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and neat. Guests are invited to a New Year Eve banquet at the poolside for dinner with performance and live band. Guests and staff stayed together to countdown and saw fireworks. It was a very wonderful experience.

ON the whole this is a good hotel to stay at due to the strategic location, very near to the night market, shopping vicinity, pub street and riverside. However, I find that the restaurant did not have a good deal of food menu selections. This could be improved and have more choices which would attract foreigners to stay.

Good Value ”
Good value of money! Location is not bad. About 10-15 mins walk to pub street or 3-5 mins by tuk tuk. The staff are very polite, friendly and always with smiles. Something to improve is: 1. The water at the shower is sometimes hot sometimes cold, there was one day while I was having shower, suddenly there was no cold water, the water was boiling hot. The towels are a bit dirty with black stains. I would normally bring my own towels, so it didn’t bother me so much...otherwise, lovely swimming pool, and very spacious room.

They never have small change usd , very inconvenient for solo female travellers. Also, not sure if it’s language issue, but don’t seem to be able to recommend places for cool shopping or nice eateries. Also unwilling to nego upfront rates with tuk tuk drivers, leave it to us to handle.

Location is good and close to the main areas in Siem Reap centre. The rooms were quite basic and would not be considered 5-star standard. My shower had some issues with the water temperature. Overall was an okay experience but for the price paid perhaps I expected better

There are so many hotels in Siem Reap to choose from but for the price I think this hotel offers real value for money. It's the location which is the real appeal as you are about 5 mins walk away from Pub Street but still far enough away so that you don't get disturbed by outside noise. The hotel is part of one big block where at the front (near the main road) is the older Somadevi resort and at the back you have the two hotels Somadevi Residence and the Somadevi Angkor Boutique & Resort. Hence, as this hotel is at the back away from the main road (shopping street) it is a bit quieter. However, the hotel is in Siem Reap central so don't expect big grounds as it's part of a main block and so surrounded by shops. If you want something big and secluded there are plenty of these types of hotels on the highway (airport to Siem Reap) but then to get around you will constantly need a Tuk Tuk. I would recommend sacrificing on the star rating for location unless you plan to spend a lot of tme at the hotel. This hotel was perfect for our needs as we prefer to walk around. Service The staff are extremely friendly and polite. You are greeted with a smile and nice touches such as opening doors and generally asking you how your stay is, anything you need, etc. It's a very clean hotel and no complaints with the room service/cleaners. The shuttle service to and from the airport is a proper car and not a Tuk Tuk. Room Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Free WiFi in the room. Quite a big room with plenty of space. The shower had very little pressure but it doesn't matter because you can switch to the rain shower which is much better and then pressure is not an issue. Bathroom is very big, modern and clean. There was a private balcony but we didn't use this. It's a city hotel so don't expect great views. Food Only had breakfact once which was very good but other than that can't really comment.
