The hotel is in a rough part of town. No bathroom in the room, the person on the desk didn't know where one was, the flooring was badly cracked, chipped, and worn. A motorcycle was parked inside the entrance for some reason. After seeing the room I refused to stay. The hotel gave the impression of being a rent-by-the hour place. My Suggestion is: DO NOT STAY.

Above average”
this is a budget hostel at hotel prices and unfortunately casually run. Rooms tend to have no windows. Breakfast provided by cafe over the road which was fine.

Convenient location”
This was just a resting point as we arrived late at night. It's nothing fancy but is close to the hotel so convenient. Nice little back court yard to have a basic breakfast in. I was concerned about children staying in a top bunk bed with no safety rail. This seems to be a common feature in Costa Rica however.

Wonderful staff”
The staff is the most accommodating and can help schedule all of your airport transfers. Clean hostel type stay with private rooms. SUPER close to the airport so ideal for travelers just needing to crash before or after a flight. Taxi should be $6-8 max to and from airport. Restaurant in the corner open to 12 am for food and drink.

This hotel is better to off your booking list”
We booked the double bed with private bathroom on January 27, the booking condition was being charged and can not be changed or modify. So we thought that will be gurenteed to have the room with private bathroom. However, when we arrived at 10 pm the staff asked us to paid $35 US dollars first, then showed us room # 1 with no bathroom. We were very upset even after we showed him all the booking documents and got the returned $7 dollars So we have no choice and stayed in room # 1. which was closed to the front gate. The problem is the bed sheet and pillow case looked hadn't changed for a long time, the wall looked very dirty, the gate maked lots noise while people came in or went out. We checked the share bathroom it's very dirty and smelled, washroom did not have any toilet paper. So end up we were just sitting in the room for the whole night. It's a horrible impression for our first day in Costa Rica. The other hotel just in next door, same price, it's a good one.

Horribly noisy - not worth staying!!!”
The owner recommends you to go to his restaurant nearby but it's crap food. It was the noisiest place I have EVER stayed in all my trips! Even with earplugs I was woken up multiple times during the night. The bathroom smelled like sewage and there was no toilet paper. It was the worst place I stayed in Costa Rica by far!
