The Hotel Balegra is situated on the outer ring of Basel, 8 minutes from the Basel SBB Train Station by tram number 8. The city centre and the fairgrounds are reachable in 15 minutes by tram. All rooms are equipped with direct-dial telephones, cable-TV, safes, free Wi-Fi internet access and hairdryers. Upon check-in, guests receive a mobility ticket for free use of public transport in Basel. The hotel was completely renovated in early 2014 and is a non-smoking property.

Homey hotel in a great location, few steps from bus station, big room with balcony”

PROS: very central - bus #36 stop, which takes you into city centre and other tourist spots, is just a few steps away; big, clean room with balcony; in the middle of the community, can see how the locals live (I see preschoolers going to school in the morning);near Basel zoo; pleasant Italian restaurant at the ground floor ;owners Beni and Alexandra are very helpful, informative and just overall nice people. CONS: none.

firendly service, good location

excellent small hotel with very friendly service. single rooms are small but tastefully decorated and very clean. some single rooms have access to a balcony. free wifi access. reservation also includes mobility ticket for free use of trams and buses. located near the stop neubad on tram line 8, a few stops away from bahnhof sbb.

Vriendelijke service”

Schone kamers en zeer vriendelijke service

Kleine, zeer schone één persoons kamer (sommigen met balkon). Gelegen op loopafstand van tram lijn 8 in richting Alschwil. Reservering is inklusief Monility ticket voor gratis bus en tram vervoer. Bij check in een gratis flesje water op de kamer en gratis internet. Tijdens kantoor uren gratis koffie en thee in de lobby en/of water en ice tea.
