My cousin and I stayed at this hotel and it was wonderful! It was easy to get to from the airport as we just took the train and only had to walk 7 minutes from there. Once we arrived, the front desk attendant let us know they had free wi-fi hot spots that we could check out during our stay. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The hotel breakfast was amazing! The best part of the hotel was the location. It was easy to walk to everything from where we were located. Additionally, all of the Christmas markets were up and we walked out the front door and smelled yummy treats! This hotel made our stay and they were nice enough to hold our bags for free on the day we left so that we could explore the city a bit more without carrying luggage. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The room was clean and organized. The private bathroom was clean and came with amenities. My sister and I only stayed here one night, so we didn't need anything fancy. Hotel Alexander was a good fit for us! This was our first time in Zurich and we didn't do much research before coming. The front desk was very helpful in recommending a restaurant and telling us how to travel to our next location in Switzerland. The hotel is close to lots of shops and restaurants. We came during the summer and the sun didn't set until around 9 PM, so we spent more time walking around the area in the evening. This is located across from a restaurant so I could see people outside my window and people could look in; we just kept the white sheer curtains pulled and it was no problem. However, it was a little noisy due to the businesses outside when places were still open. Overall, we had a good experience staying here.

We were so happy with our 2 night stay. I had requested an early check in, one of the rooms were ready, and Rinna proceeded to tell us what we could do and see, and as we arrived Saturday, that the shops were closed Sunday. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay, all the staff were wonderful

You get what you paid for. Of course this is not 5 star hotel. Don’t expect such things from here. Room is small. But Staffs are nice and room is clean. Complimentary breakfast is very small selection of food but you get enough. If you think of the price of the things in general in Switzerland, I think it’s great.

Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms are good sized, air conditioned and very clean. Very good breakfast and walking distance to numerous restaurants and bars. They provide a hotspot Wifi gadget to take around the city, which is such a great idea.

The Hotel has an excellent location in OLD TOWN. Centrally located in the heart of Zurich. I was visiting a nephew in Zurich. He also lived in the center vow town. The Train station was about two blocks from hotel. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay again.

Absolutely perfect location with happy staff”
The hotel is located at the Old Town, surrounded by many restaurants, shops, convenient stores, etc. The staff are incredibly helpful with our needs and gave recommendations on what to do in Zurich especially Luigi, who let us borrow the hotel's pocket wifi. Staying connected with my family was a big plus, esp when the older kids start to wander in shopping areas. We will definitely come back to this hotel next year! Danke, Hotel Alexander ❤️

I arrived at least couple of hours before my stay and the receptionist was very welcoming and gave me a room within an hour to check in. She was very helpful answering all my questions patiently and always with a smile. Room was right in the heart of old town and very convenient any time of the day to walk in and walk out due to its proximity. Neat and clean room and toilets. Everything was good except that room was a little small, but given the location that is expected

We travelled to Switzerland and decided to set our base in Zurich. The hotel is a great option for people who want to be nearby the main train station, 2 supermarkets, bars, restaurants and other attractions (including the main monasteries and Christams markets) - all walking distance. The breakfast was excellent and provided a brilliant start to the day in an intimate manner. Water was hot at all times. Issues that need to be mentioned: - The towel-rack warmer didn't work - Travellers should note that the location of the hotel means that you will hear noise, especially on weekends, from the street, due to the bars/restaurants - On 2 occasions we were also aoken slightly early due to the supply truck arriving at the nearby supermarket (6-6:30 AM...) - There was a distinct, and slightly unusual smell in our room for the first couple of nights - it seemed like someone had been smoking in the room, wit the smell sticking to the leather headboard. Not too bothersome, but very noticeable.
