Is the right choice to stay here with my children and my parents. The owners and staff are very friendly and always helpful at all times. Very good food, beautiful scenery and children can play as much. Many free facilities provided, there is a mini zoo that makes our children happy and be not lazy get up early to immediately feed it. Really makes us feel at home and we will be sneaking here again when the upcoming holiday is Samosir.

Impressive Service”
It was a very pleasant holiday at Horas Family Home. We really enjoy every activities available there. We get to do fishing, feed rabbits, swim for children, pick organic vegetables, ride kayaks and water bikes for free. The plants and orchids are amazing. The lake view is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All kitchen utensils are available. There's a place for barbecues too. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. Remarkable experience. Very recommended

Great Choice in Tuk Tuk - Excellent Facilities & very comfortable”
Horas Family Home is a great choice for a stay in Tuk-Tuk. It is located close to the ferry terminal and it sits on the edge of stunning Lake Toba. Customer service is excellent with staff meeting us at Parapat tohelp us with the ferry journey, and doing the same on the return trip. Comfortable rooms, good faciliies - including free use of kayaks (recommended) & getting a good safe scooter for us to use. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at Horas Family Home when we visited Lake Toba. The rooms were big and clean and the food is excellent. Berend is a great source of knowledge about things and can arrange whatever needs to be arranged or answer any questions you may have. Also they have cute bunnies...

Very good”
We were a group of ladies age range from 53 and 66 and we really enjoyed our stay in Horas Family Home. Not only it is a place to wind down and relax, the free access to the boat and kayaks together with the gears supplied had prompted some of us to break the fear and experienced first time on watersports including jetski and felt great. Great hospitality from owner and staff and I am thankful to Mr Berend who made all the necessary arrangements for us. This place will make you feel at home with all the gardens and beautiful lake on the backyard. A great place with privacy but not secluded. Will come back again to stay here for sure. Greatly recommend this place.

Great for family vacation”
Went with my parents in their 60s. We booked the family home for 2 nights. The home comes with a huge room, an attic, kitchen, dining room, living hall and large verandah. The room has 2 double bed and the attic has 1 double bed and 2 twin bed. The only downside is there's only 1 bathroom. The verandah has a dining table and lounge chairs that looked out to the garden and lake. Food was delicious. And get ready to be amazed by the orchid collection. Stay here and enjoy their hospitality. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Pleasant accommodation and convenient location”
Horas family accommodation is particularly suitable for families with young children as they have several pets (dogs, rabbits, fish and turtles) and a very shallow swimming pool. Older children and adults are able to swim in the lake. Our accommodation was large and spacious with facilities for cooking if needed and a fridge. It had a balcony but no view of the lake. The owners were extremely helpful, providing lots of information and arranging a driver to take us on a small half day tour and then a driver to the airport on our final day. Breakfast was plentiful and catered to our specific diets (vegan). Overall was good value.

Exceptional”
We were surprised here with the hospitality from the time we went till the time we left. We were welcomed with juice and someone was always out to look out for the kids. We could see the kids playing at the pool and with the rabbits in a distance and the staffs were so helpful with the kids... Massage came to the house, food also came to the house... and always on time!!! Luxury feel, comfortable, clean, excellent service! We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but extended another and didn’t mind losing out on the money paid for the other accomodation. Transportation also was arrange by Horas. Lovely experience and lovely people.

Wish we could’ve stayed longer ”
Friendly people, great food, wonderful place. Loved the orchids and well tended gardens, the open family room, the Batak songs during a gentle rain from over the neighboring fence. They also provided such helpful advice of what to see for us first-timers. There was initially a mixup with Agoda about our booking, but it was resolved quickly. Don’t hesitate to book, we’ll definitely be back!

Best place for family trip”
We stayed one night in Horas Family Home, although we booked very last minute and arrived pretty late at night, but the staff were nice and helpful. They welcomed us with hot drinks and prepared extra bed we need. They also provided all you need to do a great BBQ time.. we were lack of charcoal and shallots to grill our fish, but the owner was really nice to share theirs. You could also bring your kids to see rabbits and chicken, along with picking some greens and vegetables to add with your food on the table. They also hv kayak and some water facilities that you can borrow for free. The bed, toilet, and house are clean. We love to stayed there and wished that we extend for 2 nights instead of 1. 😥

Wonderful hotel with nice staff”
Wonderful hotel. Took boat from Tigaraja and stop by the habour near Horas, its just 5 minutes walk and the staff waited us at the habour. Staff also helped us for the BBQ moment. Refrigerator, gas stove, drinking water dispenser, toaster, TV fan are available in the room. Clean room, good location and nice staff 👍. Thanks for kak Desy and the man who picked us up at the habour (sorry forgot the name)

Booking via app with max 6 adults, at the hotel we required to pay additional price for another 2 adults.. from 1.1 i pay 1.5mio, xtra 400k.. Facilities of the hotel are fantastic, we can canoeing, farming, swimming, tracking.. other than the receptionist staff are fantastic ang highly recommended..
