I was pleased with the location, room and staff. The bathroom was quite small, but it's enough. There's a bad smell coming from the bathroom pipe, quite annoying. But since everything else is great, we ingnored it. The reception is located on the 2nd floor and the stairs were quite steep for old people, plus there's no wheelchair facilities. Everything else is fine. Lots of guests smoke in the common area, though they saw there are children around. But i guess it's common in medan, what a pity.

My two days at the the K77 Guest House were very nice. The owners are very kind and my room and the common areas were clean and tidy. One day, as I waited for my ride, I sat outside and talked with Lola, one of the owners, and watched her children play with their new kitten, Blackie. It was a wonderful and enjoyable experience. We were surprised here with the hospitality from the time we went till the time we left. We were welcomed with juice and someone was always out to look out for the kids. We could see the kids playing at the pool and with the rabbits in a distance and the staffs were so helpful with the kids... We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but extended another and didn’t mind losing out on the money paid for the other accomodation. Transportation also was arrange by Horas. Lovely experience and lovely people.

Huge room for 4 persons. 2 extra beds for my daughters. Really damn beautiful scenery from our room. Plus! Dendi is the best receptionist and able to speak fluent English too.. even I can understand Indonesian language but feel great when talked with Dendi in English. He helped us a lot. This hotel in the center of city, cheap and clean. Staffs are so friendly. Last time when I stayed there they gave me coupun for breakfast. But I couldnt use it because i had to go to Train station on early morning. This hotel so near to the station. If you wanna go to airpaort for morning fligt, I think you can choose this hotel. Overall this hotel is very good. There is a better and more varied selection of breakfast foods served compared to many hotels. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nobody speaks English, so you will fare better if you can speak some Indonesian. WiFi can be a challenge to get working, but once you get it working it is generally good. At the time of writing, Agoda shows this hotel in the wrong place on the map. We chose it because on map it is close to train station, but in reality it is much more far away.

I received an email through Agoda from the property owner about my booking and Itold them that we will arrived a bit late (1130 pm). But when I want to check in, the receptionist said the booking was cancelled. Left with no choice, I said I just take the bed thinking it's only for the night. Suddenly when I want to pay, the receptionist said the 80k is only for one person. I felt cheated and asked whether the price is for the room or for each pax checking in so he bring us to see the room first. The room is smaller then your average storage room. The only difference is that the storage room has it's own toilet. It was midnight already so I agreed to have the room. I felt more devastated upon the fact that I have to bargain to get original price 80k instead paying 160k. Nonsense! Putting the bad receptionist and room aside, the location is so freaking close to the Grand Mosque. So it's easy for me to go there for morning prayer. There's a mall in front of the mosque I think.

At night, he also wake up to make sure my rental scooter still there. Only himself to takecare garden and animal. We definitely enjoyed our stay at Gokhon Guest House. We got a room on the second floor, with a beautiful lake view. You can also go down for a dip/swim in the lake. Facilities were basic, hot shower available. Wifi available too. They don't have a restaurant at the guest house, but there are other places to eat nearby, so it's not a big deal. They also have bike ren...We definitely enjoyed our stay at Gokhon Guest House. We got a room on the second floor, with a beautiful lake view. You can also go down for a dip/swim in the lake. Facilities were basic, hot shower available. Wifi available too. They don't have a restaurant at the guest house, but there are other places to eat nearby, so it's not a big deal. They also have bike rentals available, so we rented a motorbike from them for IDR100,000 a day (around USD7-8). The best part about Gokhon is definitely their services. The guest house is run by a local family, and they were super friendly and helpful. They also have a "library" at the guest house, so you can check out some books to pass the time. The only downside to Gokhon is that it's right next to the main road, so it can get pretty noisy with the motorbikes zooming around, especially at night. We were there in August, and there was some construction going on next to Gokhon, so that caused some noise in the daytime too, but we would be out anyway, so that didn't bother us too much. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Gokhon, and would go back again!

My friend & I stayed at ground floor room for 2 nights. Each room directly facing a very beautiful clean landscape with superb view of the lake, which you can also see it from your balcony or from inside the room..it is amazingly beautiful & relaxing! The hotel is a new hotel equipped with good wifi connection, hot shower, towels, towel rack, wardrobe, and very comfort...My friend & I stayed at ground floor room for 2 nights. The hotel is a new hotel equipped with good wifi connection, hot shower, towels, towel rack, wardrobe, and very comfortable bed. It is very clean. It also has private jetty for ferry to/from parapat. You can deal with the staff to rent motorbike or bicycle, they are very friendly & helpful. For muslim friends, there are 3 muslim restaurants that we know, the nearest is "monggo" (if not mistaken) just walk few meters to the left of the hotel and at the restaurant you can enjoy your meal with beautiful view. We love staying at the hotel and will surely comeback for the very nice & warm hospitality, and of course the magnificent view!
